Exclusive: Gale Harold Gets Desperate

A Gale force is about to blow through Wisteria Lane, but this time the culprit isn't Mother Nature.

Sources confirm to me exclusively that former Queer as Folk cad Gale Harold has booked a potentially recurring role on Desperate Housewives. The Vanished actor — who turned up last November as a swastika-sportin' medic in a two-part Grey's Anatomy — will play a quick-witted, charming and buttoned-down suburbanite. Picture a young Jack Lemmon, only without a cross-dressing Tony Curtis dragging him down.

He'll be introduced in the May 18 finale and could return next season in a recurring capacity.

I lost interest in this show several years ago but I'm sure going to watch this episode. Gale is one of the finest actors ever and we don't get to see near enough of him.

This is great news! I stopped watching Desperate Housewives awhile ago because it was getting boring. But now I'll definitely be tuning in on May 18th! I can't wait!

I have enjoyed all of Gale's work on TV. He is a great actor. I am very happy he is returning.

I don't watch the show and I won't watch it cause Gale is on but kudos to him for getting another high profile gig. :)

Hopefully his time on the show won't be tarnished like his past appearances on other shows by the degree of unnatural excitement he seems to incite in some folks.

LOL, I didn't know TV executives objected to too much "excitement" over their actors or shows.

In any case, it's a silly show, but certainly high profile and a great gig for him.

I watched GA just because of Gale and for no other reason. This time is going to be such a treat since I'm a huge fan of Desperate Housewives and always have been. Having Gale on is like the cherry and whipped cream added to the sundae. Bravo, DH producers!:-x Grammy

He is one of the best looking men on TV. The show needs a hot man with a bad past that is not hidden. LOL

I guess the creator(gay) of Desperate Housewives is big fan of Queer as Folks. I hope he knows that Gale himself is not gay.

Omg! Gale is back! This is exciting news. I don't watch Desperate Housewives, but I love Gale's work and I'll definitely tune in.

I gave up on DH after the first season. I'll be back on May 18th though! Gale Harold is awesome. I'm so glad to see him popping up more often on network TV.
