I can't watch the vodcast from this computer, but I just read the CW's press release for next season and it lists Kristin Kreuk as a castmember on Smallville but NOT Allison Mack. Can someone please explain what is going on??

Recap:
It will Gary Dourdan's swan song in the finale, but they have temporarily abandoned the search for a CSI to replace him. Instead, they're still looking for a female CSI to replace Jorja Fox. Ausiello then says they had one in Katee Sackhoff, but that he's not bitter....
Jason Castro makes a cameo.
Unless there was a major development Ausiello isn't aware of, Smallville will be Chloe-less next season, and there's something happening in the season finale that will make explain her absence next year.
Dirty Sexy Money almost cast Alan Alda as Tripp Darling, Christina Ricci as Juliet Darling and Blythe Danner as Letitia Darling.
Finally, there are some jokes about how Carrot Top was supposed to play a range of characters from Carmelita to Nick's wife.

Erm, I love me some scoop, but didn't we already know most of this? We knew the Katee Sackhoff thing, we knew the Chloe/Smallville thing, and while the Dirty Sexy Money thing was a little interesting (I could totally buy Blythe Danner, but the rest of them...), Carrot Top kind of made that a little less interesting. Give us something new!

I didn't realize how important Chloe is to Smallville until I heard she might not be there anymore. I really hope that they work things out so she stays.
And yes, that joke went on WAAAAYYYY too long. Any joke about Carrot Top is too long. Any joke about him that is not funny to start with is worse. Add the fact that it took up so much of your vocast, well... you get the idea.

I think Blythe Danner would have been a great choice for Letitia on Dirty Sexy Money (possibly as good as Jill Clayburgh). As anyone who saw Blythe on Huff can attest, she can play a slightly off rich woman "of a certain age" with the best of them!

Thank you for keeping up on Allison Mack's contract status. If she's out, then I'm out.
I can't believe how quickly everything is going down the toilet on that show. Everything seemed like it would be fine in February.
Please keep up updated on what happens with Allison Mack. I'll be biting my nails until we find out the final decision.

I am glad to hear that CSI is not going to add another male cast member at this time. I think having a new female one is a better idea.
I will miss Chloe on Smallville. I have a feeling I might not be watching much of that show next season, if at all.
