i find the idea of an executive seeing you reporting the story of according to jim being renewed and sighing and then writing an email defending the network for doing so very funny.

if the syndication marketplace for comedy is so soft, then why don't the networks just you know get back to making sitcoms and actually leaving them on the air for a while?

makes me wish i had made my own sitcom already, but the way the nets treat most sitcoms the last couple years, it prob would have been canceled already. (unless it was actually pretty good in which case it might have actually had a shot.)

hey does this mean good new for how i met your mother or adventures of old christine??? *both sitcoms with moderate ratings, but three years worth of eps so within two years each could be syndicated! (or am i just counting chickens here?)

oh one more thing--no matter what the exec might have emailed ya, i still say the real reason jim got the renewal is because its the ultimate timeslot/hole in the sked/ filler show. every network needs at least one of those in case their schedulues go really really badly.
Hey Nbc could use one of those 'bout now!

Ben's contact on the ship - Ask how, not who? Does this mean that Ben is his own contact on the ship and he is having those Desmond/George time jump things from last weeks ep?

Spill please.

Ausiello mentioned the "how" in response to the friend on the Ship (i.e. person who helped Desmond escape). We can't presume that both Ben's spy and the friend are the same person. (unless it's Michael.)

Waaaaiiiiitaminute. Will the new Supernatural eps really start airing April 3? The press release only says "returning" not "new episodes beginning.." as with all the other shows.

So I assume Supernatural comes back April 3 for repeats only, and the new eps start airing on April 24?

Someone phone the CW and find out. :-D

Re Ben's contact on Not Penny's Boat: Maybe it's Mikhail! Many of us (including me) assumed he blew himself up with the grenade that blew the hole in the Looking Glass station and appeared to have killed Charlie. What if he survived and somehow made his way to Not Penny's Boat? It's possible.

On the FNL front--that's real nice for you Michael, but what about me? I badly need some encouraging news about my favorite show. I NEED to visit with my friends in Dillon.

Ohh you are a teaser...first it was "His" death (come on with that it was soooo obvious Lionel was the one biting the dust) now is His/Her, you are actually giving me hopes that Chloogle is going to die.....

I'll Take Lana over Chloe anyday of the week....and I HATE Lana...so go figure.

Oh God please made the SUEllivan go away.

I hope Michale Rosembaun stays the longer. I'll keep wacthing Smallville without any of them but MR is awesome

I'm almost sorry I read your column. That "clone" reference makes me sick, I love the Lana/Clark character. It had better not be her. I don't think it's Lionel because he's contracted till the end of Season 8. I wouldn't mind Chloe leaving, but not Kristen Kreuk, NO, No. It would really be a dirty trick and a raw deal after 7 years of teasing us with Clark/Lana and never giving them any real happy time together, to end it this way. SV has a very huge loyal fan base of Lana/Clark and this would be a big mistake.

I'm a Smallville fan, and would continue to watch no matter who died, but I really want to see Clark embrace his destiny, fly and go for his training. So I'm not "stuck" on just the relationship, but after so many years and so many obstacles, it would really be a betrayel of sorts to end their relationship that way. I think it will be Chloe using her resurrecting power to save Clark's life.

"Never giving them any real happy time together"? Are you watching the same show I am, dalin? Season 5, especially Mortal and Reckoning, and they have had some moments in this season. I think though it has gone on enough, and Clark is realizing things will never work between the two of them.

I seriously hope it's not Chloe, especially when Kryptonsite says that execs are negotiating the contracts of Allison Mack. Chloe's freakin' awesome, and like with 24, you can't kill characters named Chloe. They're too cool.

Of all the characters, I'd bet on Lionel.

And nice link to the Carly Patterson video Mike. I'd forgotten about that, although I could have sworn she got that in Sydney, not Athens. Ah well. They're all starting to run together in my head anyways. I hear she won't be in the games this year, which is a shame.
