Ask Ausiello is live.
In other news, just finished watching Brokeback Mountain. Still can't believe he's gone.

Me either, I kept hoping that it would be a false report. I hope he finds peace. Hoping you end the night right, Michael!

Will you at least answer whether the first part is "Someone who was on the plane...."?
And yes, it's very sad about Heath. I haven't been this surprised about a celebrity death in quite some time.

Hey, Mikey,
I ain'tmadatcha for not answering my question about Scrubs (perhaps the fact that I axed it around 10pm on Tuesday night might have something to do with it), but THANKS ASHLIE for essentially asking the same thing! I'm glad to know you are trying to find out from Bill L. (didn't Mickey Rooney play him in a TV-movie?). I will be mightily crestfallen if Scrubs doesn't get a fitting farewell (either this season or next).
In other news...I am stunned by the tragedy of Heath Ledger, even though I've never seen one of his movies (my name is TV Gord, not MOVIE Gord), but I feel as though I had a glimpse into his heart through his various talk show appearances, and I perceived him as being shy and a little disbelieving at all the adulation he received in his lifetime.
I have no reason to make bold pronouncements about what happened to him, but this doesn't sound like your typical OD or suicide attempt. This seems to me to be a tragic accident by someone who may have mixed sleeping pills with other OTC meds and perhaps even alcohol. (There but for the grace of my Keith-Richards-like-metabolism go I!) Sometimes, our bodies just blip out when everything combines in a deadly combination. I hope the media gets it right with Heath, because from what I've read on various tvg blogs tonight, he was beloved by many...and I would hate to wake up to a bunch of lurid "he offed himself when he didn't get an Oscar nom" stories...and YOU KNOW some idjit at the Enquirer or People is thinking about spinning that story right now!
Heath Ledger...literally...rest in peace.

Question about who died in the LOST finale and will be back - is it the Russian dude who we thought died once before? Can't remember his name as I haven't seen this show in, oh 10 years it seems.

joesmom - lol about the ten years...feels longer to me.
I am also thinking Mikhail (sp?). He seems to be pretty resilient so I am guessing it is him, but I will miss Tom. He was my favorite "other". About the Lost asterisk quiz, isn't it "Someone who was on the plane but didn't have a ticket"? Makes sense Aaron would be Kate's "someone" she had to get home to. But that would mean Claire didn't get off the island....and Jack didn't find out they were related cause he would probably take Aaron in that case. Okay, my head hurts now...too early in the morning for this.

Okay, that would be Aaron, not Aarom...see, I told you it was too early.

About the undead Lostie: I think we might have seen Naomi in some preview flashes of next season; I know we also saw Charlie, but Naomi did not look all cleaned up and appeared to still be on the island.

As far as the Sarah Conners question, John Conners father is Kyle Reese, the guy who was sent to protect Sarah in the 1984 Terminator flick. They actually give him a nod in the pilot where her alias is Sarah Reese. Kyle Reese was sent back in time to save Sarah while she was a young woman before John was born. In a turn of events Kyle Reese ended up impregnating Sarah, thus fathering John Conner.
And as for the person on Lost who died in the finale but pops back up alive... well in the commercials (yaaayyyy TIVO) if you freeze frame, you see a glimpse of Charlie and a glimpse of Naomi (who is choking Kate in the rain) ... so go figure

haha it's definitely someone who was on the plane but didn't have a ticket, he just won't show that one cause he doesn't want to admit it's right yet...there was a lot of flack for him/kristin talking about that spoiler, so he's probably not gonna show us the right answer until next week, the day before the premiere
also, i don't think its charlie or mikhail, because we actually saw them both die...my guess is naomi or tom....one was stabbed and one was shot, and we saw them fall, but i would guess the island could heal those injuries, they may not even be fatal
as for charlie and mikhail...charlie drowned, we saw it, and mikhail was torn apart by the grenade, i'd be very disappointed if they tried to say he lived

This must have been suggested elsewhere... I think it will turn out that no one dies on this island - it has some sort of regenerative power. But not the island the Others live on (hence why pregnant women die)... the island the Losties are on. As someone else said, too early to be coherent but nonetheless the logistics of this make sense in my head. If not, I'd be very curious to see how Mikhail keeps surviving. At any rate I think it's Charlie that turns up not dead.

It's Mikhail (also known as Patchy). He has died so many times on this show that I think he is now officially a zombie.

nope, it's naomi...if you check the abc official description of the first episode, naomi is listed in the credits, while none of the other three are...so, there you have it, naomi lives

shoeaddict the Others live on the same island as the Flight 815 survivors. The small island off the shore is just a research facility.
As for the person still alive. I think it is Tom or Naomi. From the previews, it appears it is Naomi, but since they also show Charlie in those same previews, who really knows.
And to Michael. Who watches Torchwood, but doesn't watch Dr. Who? I would think that is a small percentage of the viewers. The first episode of the 2nd season was good. Hopefully tonight's episode will be just as good.
