Kathy Griffin Is Back...But Still on the D-List

After three seasons and an Emmy win, where is loudmouth redhead Kathy Griffin's big promotion? "[Just when] I think I might be a strong C-lister, I hear someone say "I loved her when she used to be on TV.' "

This season on Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D-List, (returning tonight at 9 pm/ET, Bravo), those who do tune in will see Griffin open her own leadership academy, wean her mother off boxed wine and most thrillingly, talk #@$ about Oprah.

"Let's be honest," Griffin says. "Oprah is full of crap sometimes. Though I do want her to come interview me in my home in Telluride. Oh, yeah, I don't have a home in Telluride."

I'm so psyched for both shows tonight - I love Kathy and have been looking forward to seeing new comedy from her...to tide me over, I've checked out a couple of her older stand-up shows (courtesy of Bravo, thank you very much) and laugh every time. Tonight should be a treat!!

SO happy she's finally back! Can't wait for this season, its going to be awesome, and as always, way too short! I want a 24/7 Kathy show.

So Kathy Griffin is back? So WHAT??!
Could there BE a fouler mouth and fouler attitude? I am no prude, but it seems to me life is hard enough out here in the real world without her attacking everything religious or moral and dragging us all through her muddy mind. No, thank you, Kathy. I know you will not care one iota for my opinion, but I think I represent hundreds of thousands of other middle Americans.:-x

You've obviously never seen her show and are basing your opinion on one comment made on an awards show. That's o.k. I'll make my judgement of you on one post.

Sweeetpea, I watched every episode last season and I completely agree with BiloxiPat. I have never heard such trashy talk and foul contempt for *ANYTHING* that is moral or decent. She snubs any person or activity that has to do with character and dignity. I, for another, will not be welcoming her back into my home.

I love Kathy Griffin and thinks she is hilarious. She is like most comedians that trash other stars - I don't think she means anything personal by it, she's just doing it for a laugh.

So you watched every episode, did you? So I guess she was horrible when she went to Iraq to entertain the troops or to the women's prison. HMMM! Interesting! How about when she threw the party at her home in order to collect toys and raise money for toys for tots. How about when at her wedding instead of gifts she had her guests donate money to charity. I guess she is the daughter of satan then! I'm not saying that she is the only person to donate their time and money to help others, but hardly satan's spawn. I also find it very hard to believe that anyone who has actually watched her Life on the D list show could have that strong feelings about her as a person. Her comedy show may not be for everyone, but as a person I think you would have a very different feeling about her if you have ever watched her reality show. I personally think she is hilarious!

I know I'm posting this late as I was away, however I had to get my two cents in. For the person who posted that they watched the entire season and still can't stand Kathy. You have a right to your opinion, but if you did watch and understand her then you would know that this is what she does. When she made the comment at the Emmys she was lampooning all those other people who have never given a rat's behind about religion and who live questionable lives, however the first thing that comes out of their mouth's are I'd like to thank God. She has done so much for charity and regardless of whether she's doing it for the publicity or not, at least she did it on her own and didn't hang on to other celebrities. Give her a break. I'm sure you all don't live as clean a life as you'd like us to believe.
