Bones Rocks the House!

Move over, Simon Cowell. Booth and Brennan are doing their own kind of judging when they take on a music-biz homicide in tonight's episode of Bones. "L.A.'s open-mic nights…are very intense and really competitive," explains executive producer Hart Hanson of the case's inspiration. "We thought, 'There's a good venue for Bones.' Then we thought we might as well hit up the Idol scene [for singers]."

So Idol fans should keep an eye out for Season 5's Ace Young and last year's Brandon Rogers in guest spots as aspiring warblers, as well as a little crooning from Emily Deschanel's notoriously uptight Brennan. "She sings 'Girls Just Want to Have Fun,' " laughs Hanson. "It's funny because Emily is a good singer…and Brennan is not."

Thankfully, she still has her day job with Booth, because Hanson hints that more than just the music is about to die down in D.C. "The ending is pretty shocking." — Damian Holbrook

I love that show so much!! Last epi was just wonderful... And now I can't wait to hear Brennan sing, lol!! Hope Booth won't laugh too hard at her!

I just started watching this show. I got the DVD's from Netflix. This show is soooooo good. I have the 2nd season coming. I really want to watch this episode tonight but I am going to refrain. Booth and Bones are so good together.

I had taped the last few weeks of BOnes and House and was finally able to watch the tape yesterday. I was blown away on how good the Bones episodes were! I don't remember which episode it was but there was a moment where Bones and Booth just looked at each other and man...if Bones was a normal woman, she would have been ripping off her clothes!! It was such an intimate, but yet wanton, look that Booth gave her! I think she kinda knew or felt something, but knowing that it's Bones, she probably didn't know what to do about it!!!

It's interesting--I've watched Bones and House together ever since Fox made the pairing, and though I began by liking House better, I think Bones has surpassed it. The writing, acting, directing--all of it has really stepped up this season. I no longer find myself looking forward to Monday nights because of Hugh Laurie (whom I adore, don't get me wrong), but because I want to see what happens on Bones between the two leads--heck, between all of the characters! Currently one of my favorite shows on TV--of course, nothing could every beat BSG, but this show is just plain fun! I haven't had this much fun watching a TV show since Due South--anyone else remember that? Anyone?

Bones is probably the best thing on TV. The cast is awesome. They are all stars... I can't believe someone would kill off Booth, but then I can't believe someone would seriously consider canceling this show! What do we need another game show or maybe a search for______(you name it)? This is the best written and acted show on TV

I am still reeling from the ending of tonights episode. I can't believe that they shot Booth. Then again, nothing should shock me, as Moonlight still has ont been renewed. Jazzgrl: I loved Due South. I have all three seasons on DVD. I love watching the Mountie run around Chicago in that red uniform

I was disappointed with this episode. I can't believe the writers stooped down to a clichéd "the fat girl must be a crazy stalker because who could like her?". Then, on top of that, Sweets doesn't tell Booth exactly why he is in danger from the stalker, and just says 'she is dangerous'? Please. Oh, and Booth accepts her gift? The writing was horrible and made Booth look like an idiot, which he most definitely is not!

Thankfully, we had a couple of great singing scenes. I will grant them, however, that the ending was well done.

Can't wait for next week's episode, which should get the show back to its A+ form. Bones has arguably become the best procedural on TV, with the original Law and Order's new season and CSI: Las Vegas not far behind.

I love the chemistry between Booth and Bones! Boreanaz and Deschanel do an excellent job on that show, and the supportive cast is at their level.

Now I want to hear Emily sing more!
