Emily Deschanel on Bones "Crazy" Season Finale

Tonight's Bones finale (9 pm/ET, Fox) begins with the funeral of a beloved character, and more shockers await fans. We grilled Emily Deschanel (Dr. Temperance Brennan) for a few details.

TV Guide: Does Booth (David Boreanaz) survive the shooting?
Emily Deschanel:
Let's just say we left Brennan in a crazy place in the last episode. It feels like she's losing people left and right. She's in a place where she's cutting off her emotions.

TV Guide: Do we discover the identity of the Gormogon, the cannibalistic serial killer that's been taunting the squints all season?
Deschanel:
Yes. I get sent a jawbone from the Gormogon. We learn that he — or she — has infiltrated the lab and might have someone on the inside helping. We start suspecting people we've worked with a long time.

TV Guide: Is it true Zack (Eric Millegan) is in another explosion?
Deschanel:
There's an explosion and bad injuries happen. There's so much going on. We can't talk about 90 percent of it!

I hope Gorgomon's helper doesn't turn out to be someone obvious like Sweets. Part of me dreads the possible outcomes but I want that storyline resolved.

As for Booth, if they kill him I will never watch Bones again. Also, I wish they hadn't had the shooting before Bones finished her song. I truly wanted to hear Emily Deschanel sing the whole thing. Obviously, that talent runs in her family. Plus, I love that song.

Can't wait to see what happens tomorrow!

Don't get me wrong, I'm happy we got to hear from Emily, but only 3 questions?? Does that count as a "grilling"?

A Question: My listing shows Bones at 8 ET followed by House at 9. Has there been a switch up or was the 9 ET a typo?

That's got to be a typo. Bones is on at 8 ET and House at 9 ET.

If they kill Booth the show is D-O-N-E! DONE!

I don't even want to think about it.

Don't worry, we already know that Booth and Bones go to England together next season, so Booth will have to survive being shot.

My bet is that the "funeral scene" is a dream sequence or something - kind of like Buffy being able to save her mom in "The Body". It was all fake.

Of course Booth will survive. I mean, they've already been talking about how both of them are going to be shooting in Europe next season. Plus they're talking about another Booth/Brennan kiss.

OneJarvi and Potch:Thanks for that info. I have been catching up on the show with the DVD's. I have not been watching this season.

I love this show and would be very mad if it ended when I just got going on it.

I just have this feeling that Sweets will be involved with Gormogon, I wouldn't be surprised if he was actually Gormogon.

I kinda think that Clark Edison is Gormie's apprentice, and Zach figures it out. That's why Zach is blown up, put in the hospital, and Bones is looking for a new anthropologist.

I doubt if they would kill off Booth(Boreanaz)since he's the reason that most people even started watching this show in the first place. While Brennan and the rest of the crew have since grown on us, it is the chemistry between Booth & Brennan that has been a big factor in making this show so popular, and any producer or network dumb enough not to realize that wouldn't deserve to be in the industry.

Given that David is a producer on this show, I strongly suspect he won't kill himself off!

It's probably going to start with the funeral, not say who is being buried, then flash back "__ hours/days earlier" and show how it all happened.

:( This is going to be one sad episode. But so cool.
