Episode Recap: "Hundred"
It was a different church and a different couple, but I was experiencing serious deja vu to Keith’s wedding. Ultimately, the end result was the same: a Scott man was left standing at the altar.
Throughout this season, the writers have been driving home the point of Lucas following in Keith’s footsteps, especially in the active role he plays in being Jamie’s uncle. Tonight’s opening scene didn’t even try to be subtle, with Lucas’ voice-over talking about the local road trips he, Karen and Keith used to take, all while we were seeing scenes of Jamie, Haley and Lucas in the car as a Bruce Springsteen’s "My Hometown" played in the background (this Jersey girl would like to thank the producers for that). Of course, the one major difference is that Lucas isn’t pining for Haley – he’s pining for Peyton, only he still doesn’t quite realize that. Wake up Luke! Haley saw what was going on, and eventually, so did Lindsey: The boy in the manuscript had his life changed by a comet, and he waits for the comet to come back; Peyton drives a Comet. You would think a guy who’s always quoting poetry and analyzing literature would be able to see this. But I guess what they say is true: You never see what’s right in front of your face.
We viewers got to see what was going on in the minds of a lot of the characters courtesy of some daydream scenes. For a minute, I thought the scene in the beginning in which Nathan grabbed Haley and kissed her was real, but I soon realized it was just too good to be true (I did catch on before the indoor rain started). But when Peyton stood up in the church and proclaimed her love for Lucas, I wasn’t sure what was happening. I was praying that this too was a figment of her imagination, as I cringed when she exclaimed, "You fixed my car." Thankfully she did not really do that. I want Lucas and Peyton back together, but that was just painful. As was the look on Peyton’s face all night, which was occasionally masked by a strained brave front. I don’t know how she did it – I get that she wanted to support Lucas as a friend, but I don’t think I could attend the wedding of someone I was still in love with.
Speaking of love, it looks like Karen has found the strength to move on and rekindle her relationship with Andy. I was always fond of him: He’s cute and he has an appealing accent – what’s not to like. Karen also gave Peyton and Brooke some good advice about finding love in places you’d never imagine, such as in work or a new relationship. Of course, this was the point when Brooke chimed in with "children," and we later learned that she wants a kid in order to fill some of the emptiness in her life...but that seems like a plot that’s merely been hinted at and will be fleshed out down the road. Back to Karen’s advice – I couldn’t help but feel bad for Lindsey throughout this episode, because she had no one like Karen to go to. I realize she’s not one of the regular characters, but could they have cast a mom for her for at least this one episode? Perhaps a cousin and a fellow editor coworker too? They didn’t even have to have lines – merely let them stand near her. She just seemed so alone. Her wedding party consisted of one person: her newish friend Haley. When she ran out of the church, no one ran after her. When she went back to Lucas’ to get her things, no one went with her. Half the church was filled with her family and friends, yet no one was there for her after experiencing a devastating non-wedding? Perhaps one of them could have stopped her from saying "I could be your comet" to Lucas (I was hoping that was a daydream too, but no, she really said that). When Lindsey finally left Lucas’ house, her exit felt pretty final. I hope it is – let this triangle be over. Let the woman leave with some dignity. But there’ll be no such dignity for nanny Carrie, who tonight officially joined the long list of One Tree Hill psycho characters. As many of you predicted, she did indeed kidnap Jamie, and Dan saved the day. Though a bit predictable, I prefer this to the alternative popular theory of Dan and Carrie being in cahoots (that would have really echoed the Keith and Jules/Emily’s non-wedding). Why did Skills let Jamie go to the bathroom alone? Why didn’t Haley and Nathan ever tell Jamie that Carrie was a bad person that should be feared? The kidnapping plotline quickly eclipsed the wedding story, and thank goodness Dan didn’t do as Haley said and stay away (loved their scene together, with Haley intensely yelling at him and Dan being all smarmy and acting like it was a turn-on).
I’m not sure how Dan got a frightened Jamie to let him in that hotel room. After all, the kid had nightmares about his grandfather. But Dan can be a pretty convincing guy. As well as a pretty terrifying guy: When he had his hand around Carrie’s throat, I wasn’t sure whether he would actually kill her. Then he threatened her and told he about how he killed his own brother in cold blood. That was a powerful scene, and I was so mad at Carrie I was kind of cheering him on. By the end, I was worried that no one would believe Dan – they already all thought he was the one who took Jamie. But then Jamie explained, "Grandpa Dan saved me," and they have no reason not to believe the kid. Then Dan entered, looking all smug as usual. Everyone was shocked, but Karen’s face was just priceless. I hope we see more of her this season.
So in the end, one Scott boy reconnected with his wife (though it was a shame it took something as drastic as their son’s kidnapping to bring Nathan and Haley back together), while the other lost his wife-to-be. I was surprised that Lindsey was the one who ultimately said "No" at the altar, but I’m glad one of them did. Although, it might have been more fun if, as Skills suggested, Lucas said the wrong name "just like Ross did on Friends" (who knew Skills was a Friends fan?!). I’m glad they didn’t leave us with a cliffhanger. For the next two weeks, consider One Tree Hill off on its spring break. Then it moves to Mondays (I can’t picture it not on Tuesdays!): April 7th is a repeat of this episode, and April 14th is the start of six brand-new, post-strike episodes. See you then!

This episode was very tense with all the was going on.
I was really excited to see Karen back along with Lilly and Andy. He was always good to her.
As for everything else. I don't know what to make of everything. Brooke wanting the baby. The whole Lindsey running out of the wedding thing.
And they are trying to make Dan out to be a good person. He will never be a good person in my mind. He has always been a mean and vindictive person. He only thinks of himself. But, I will give him this I do believe he scared Nanny Carrie out ot town. LOL. I am so glad to have Jimmy Jams back!
I hate that we have to wait almost a month to see what happens next. We will see.

I thought it was a good episode as a whole. I felt underwhelmed at times, but overall it was pretty good. It was as if Lucas and Peyton's story has come full circle. They, or rather Lindsey, took us back to the first time Lucas and Peyton interacted back in the Pilot. I was riveted by the way they revealed the "Comet" and how Lucas wrote yet another book about his love for Peyton. As Lindsey said, their story is truly "epic." Now if only Lucas would quit being stubborn. Lucas and Peyton need to get back together already!
Nathan and Haley were great too. I enjoyed the flashback to their first night as husband and wife together. And they really have the most adorable kid together.
Another great blog by the way!

I loved this episode. There were many good things that happened in this episode. Only one bad thing. Unless I missed it, I wish that they had played the song the episode is title from, Hundred, it's a great song by the Fray and it would have fit the situation perfectly.
First off how frustrating is Lucas this season? Why does he refuse to see that he is still in love with Peyton? And the fact that he wrote that new book with such glaring implications of who he really loves and he still thinks he loves Lindsey, amazes me. I was surprised at how easily he brushed off Haley's advice considering what his first book was about. I was also surprised that it took Lindsey so long to figure it out. But like she said she was hoping that she could be his comet. I'm glad she got to leave with her dignity intact. I wonder if he has to get a new editor now?
As for Peyton, I think she did a great job being strong. The scene where she saw Lindsey right before the wedding or when she was watching Lucas, without any hesitation promise to love, honor, and cherish someone else were heartbreaking. I was so afraid that they daydream where she interrupted the wedding was real, I didn't want her to go out like that. I hope that now that Lucas and Peyton can start rebuilding their relationship.
I'm glad that Nathan and Haley are back on track and it was nice to see Karen back, I didn't realize how much I missed her until she came back. Also nice to finally meet Lily. I'm glad that Dan set Nanny Carrie straight about some things, I just wish that he had turned her crazy self into the police. I know that Dan killed Keith but I hope he can start being part of the crew again.
One last thing, I was afraid that the reason Brooke came back to Tree Hill was because she still loved Lucas, but it was because she wanted to have a baby. I didn't find that particularly shocking considering her background but I did find it surprising who she told first. Why did she tell Lucas and not Peyton first? And who is going to be the father of this future baby?
Some funny moments:
Skills offering to sleep with Peyton at the reception.
Brooke saying *itch I ought to slap you when Peyton didn't want to go after Lucas.
Peyton thinking Brooke wanted to have a baby with her.

I loved this episode. I think That Dan really is trying to win back trust so that he can do something stupid again. Or maybe try to get between KAren and Andy. The scene with Lily and Jamie was cute about how he has to call her Aunt Lily. I knew as soon as I did see Carrie in the previews (and made sure it was her) That thats when the kidnapping would happen. I was one who thought when she went to Jamies school is when it was going to happen though. I wonder how Dan got in the hotel room though. I'm glad he did though. I thought that when Hayley and Lucas were talking and Hayley said not to let Lindsey read it that she would be the one to say no at the altar. The comet thing was cute. I felt bad for Lindsey though. But its cute how Lucas wrote another book about Peyton and he doesnt look like he realized that it was.
The Scene with Brooke and Peyton was cute how she said she wants a baby and gthen Peyton thought Brooke wanted one with her was hilarious. I do not think Skills should have let a 4 year old go to the bathroom alone no matter what! And For Hayley and Nathan to not realize that Jamie was gone sooner was a little bit weird. I would have my eyes on my kid for the whole ceremony. I am glad Nathan and Hayley worked things out though (sad it took Jamie to be missing for it to happen though)
I am so glad Lily finally was intruduced. I would like to see Deb now.
I cannot wait for more episodes!!!!

So glad that Jamie was safe even if Dan was the one to save him. Even more glad there was no Victoria.
4/14 seems like a long time from now.

First off why in the h*ll would Peyton even go to the wedding? That would not happen. And with everyone whispering in Lucas' ear, how could the poor guy even think straight? Even after all his idiot friends talking crap, he still wanted to marry Lindz. I agree with Lucas when he said he didn't take enough time to make Lindsey feel comfortable. He made a big mistake. I like Lindsey A LOT more than whiny Peyton. Sick of her.
The whole scenario is just way to forced by the writers. Everyone saw it coming. Do something different for a change. Make the viewers mad. Except I would have loved it.
And some one needs to punch Haley right in the mouth. Get over your self. How could she blame Nathan? Skills is an idiot all together. Play along with the kid but follow anyway.
What's next?

good episode overall. Really happy to see karen back and the Lily/Jamie scenes so adorable
while skills shouldn't have let Jamie go to the bathroom alone his parents were right there why weren't they watching him?
I dont like dan playing hero(although I'm glad he saved jamie from Pycho nanny) and I admit I thought somehow the two might be connected it reminds me of the accident with keith and Lucas when Dan carries Luke to the hospital looking like a hero and keith looking like a jerk for drinkig and driving.
A funny story re: that episode for a long time I actually thought dan was the one who it keith and Luke and always wondered why it never came out LOL!
I did feel bad for Lindsay it must be hard "competing" with the memory of what Lucas and Peyton had interesting that Lucas didn't seem to realize he was writing about Peyton in his new book and surprised Lindsay didn't get it sooner but maybe she didn't want to see it.

I thought the episode was great! I am glad that Lindsey is gone and that she and luke didn't get married. I was laughing at Peyton's daydream hoping that it wasn't real.
I am glad that Jaime was saved and that Nanny Carrie is gone. I do find that sudden "Hero" in Dan to be a ploy on his part.
I feel bad for Skills. Many are criticizing hime for letting Jaime go to the bathroom by himself, but no one is recognizing that Skills has been there for this kid, more than his own parents have. Jaime spends more time with Brooke, Skills and Lucas than he has with Haley and Nathan. There was also a comment that Haley made to Nathan that "He" should have been there with Jaime. Not sure what she was talking about, what was Nathan suppose to leave the alter to take Jaime to the bathroom? Anyway, Skills was heartbroken over Jaime going missing, so I don't think he deserves to be criticized. That kid is so damn smart for 4 1/2, it is easy to get lost in the fact that he is only 4 1/2. I am not saying that it excuses anything, you should always be with a child.
Can't wait for the show to return.

I really liked this episode and I am glad Jamie was OK and that Nanny Carrie got first hand how it is to get a Scott mad. Skills was so upset he didn't go to the bathroom with jamie but I am glad Haley did not yell at him but was surprised she yelled at Nathan for not watching out for him. Come on! I am also glad Lucas and Lindsey did not get married and maybe now Lucas can reconnect with Peyton. I am so happy to see Karen back and Lilly is so cute. I hope they are in more episodes. I can't wait for its return.

I think the thing that Haley was saying that Nathan should have been there, was meaning he should have been at their house, & never have left. At least that's the way that I took it. I sooo knew that scarey carrie was going to take Jamie, course, as adorable as that little kid is, who wouldn't want him for their very own, but still, wrong thing to do.
I've also thought that Skills & Lucas & even Brooke have been there more for cutie pie Jamie than his own parents. I still want to know WHERE'S DEB!!!??? No one even mentions her. What's up with that?
I was glad that Karen was back with Lily & that she's back together with Andy. Loved it when he was telling Lucas that it was only because his fiance hadn't met him yet.
I loved Skills out in the parking lot "tailgating" at a wedding. Too funny & the crazy nut brought the beer in to the wedding. How redneck was that! Still want to know the backstory on why him & Bevin broke up, I mean helloooo she's with Tim now.

Loved this episode! When Lindsey ran down the aisle, I'll admit, I was totally cheering! I was glad she was able to exit finally, and pretty gracefully at that.
Also, I couldn't be happier about Karen and Andy. I have to admit, I actually liked their pairing better than Karen and Keith, and I was hoping she'd run into him in Europe.
The comet story came together very well. I love that the show really makes use of it's history and uses flashbacks. It gives the whole show a greater sense of story arc.
Haley redeemed herself in my eyes today. She picked up on Lucas's message in his book without even knowing the comet reference. And when she yelled at Dan, she told him to stay away from her HUSBAND amongst others. And then when she was upset talking to Nathan and saying he should have been there, she said it was her fault because she should have LET him be there.
Skillz "Friends" comment was great! I also like the semi-flirty vibe between him and Peyton.

Overall I thought this was a great episode! My favorite part was in the beginning when the Scott brothers were together. And Nathan said you have anything on my girl? Yep gave me goosebumps Then when they were pretty much fighting over who gave the flowers and when Haley opened the door a startled Nathan said Look who it is! And she pretty much slams the door in their faces. Lucas says "Look who it is? No wonder why you're fading." Hilarious and well acted by Chad and James! Cannot wait until it comes back!

I thought that this episode was great. I love how this show doesn't try to "re-write" it's history. Having all the flashback scenes throughout the episode made me happy.
I loved seeing Karen, Andy and Lily. What a cute little girl. I always wanted Keith and Karen to be together, but I liked Andy, glad to see him back. He always treated her well and really loved her. I can see them raising Lily together. I got a little misty when Andy told Lucas that he would trade it all for Keith to be back with them. He really is a good man. Jamie and Lily are just too cute together. I hope that they stick around Tree Hill for a while.
I felt so bad for Peyton throughout the whole episode. The one thing I couldn't understand is why on Earth she would go to the wedding. I understand trying to be there for him and friendship and all that jazz, but there is no way I could sit there and watch the man I love promise to love, honor and cherish another forever. I love her and Brooke this season. The chemistry that they have is one of the best things this show has. When Brooke said she wanted to have a baby and Peyton thought she meant with her was great. One poster said something about her telling Lucas the news first....does anyone else get the sense that she asked Luke to be the father?
As for Nathan and Haley...I surely thought that the scene with them in the kitchen was real, until they started quoting the dialogue from their first kiss. I was just hoping it was Haley having the dream, but seeing Nathan in the shower again was worth the disappointment. I am glad that Haley let Nathan hold her through this and that she didn't push him away even further. When she started yelling at him that he should have been there with Jamie I got fired up. I was yelling "don't you dare blame him cause you were standing right across from him" but then she fixed her statement and said the reason he wasn't was because she wouldn't let him. I am glad she realizes that she is the one keeping her family apart.
I hope they clear up how Dan got Jamie to open that door. That poor boy looked terrified huddled up in the corner. Could anyone else tell that Jamie was catching on that the Nanny was a little off. He kept eyeing her like "something is NOT right." As far as Skills letting Jamie go the bathroom by himself, some would say that it was irresponsible of him, but Jamie is a smart kid and being in a church most people would not have thought much of it. I think Haley should have told people that she saw Dan. Then they would have had an eye out, especially on Jamie and Lily.
April 14th seems so far away....
