Countdown to Survivor: China

Hey there, Survivor fans. It’s sick how excited I get for the Survivor premiere.

In case you haven’t heard, the show is heading to China this time around, and as usual there are some new twists to the game — kidnapping being one of them. In addition, each castaway was given a copy of Sun Tzu’s The Art of War to read. It should be interesting to see how this guide to warfare will inform the game. In case you were concerned about the curse of car, there will be no car giveaway this time around, though the hidden immunity idol is still in play.

That’s just a little peek into the show, but from the location to the players to the new twists, it looks as if we have a great season ahead of us.

Check here and here to see behind-the-scenes footage filmed by Jeff Probst himself and let me know what you think. Meet the Zhan Hu tribe and the Fei Long tribe and if you dare, g’head and make some predictions. I’d love to hear who you think will make it to the end and who will be the first one cut. I’ll see you all next week.

I bet $10 one of the castaways burns their "Art of War" as firewood. Would be the smart move, anyways.

I've been apathetic about Survivors recently, but I might get back into it...

How the heck did CBS get China to cooperate with Survivor? Isn't it illegal to do anything involving free will in China?

Rhoda - thanks for blogging about Survivor! Even though this is the 15th installment of Survivor, I may be more enthused about Survivor; China than I have ever been!

I remember reading that Jeff Probst said that this was the first location that if asked to stay another two weeks after the show he would have accepted!

I am anticipating a great season!

Sounds interesting! Kidnapping? I really like that Survivor changes the game around to keep it from getting boring.
See you next week.:^O

can't wait...even though it's the 15th I still can't wait for it to begin especially since Big Brother was such a bore this year.

Looking forward to the premiere here too. Going to be a good season. Was wondering how to get in touch with fans in Nebraska. I would like to host a dinner party on any Thursday before the show & then kick back and watch the show. If anyone knows anyone.....

I can't believe the series is now in its 15th season. Makes you wonder: how is ol' Richard Hatch doing in prison these days?
