Ten Inch Hero etc...

Hey guys! Just wanted to let you know that last night, a friend and I ventured out to the Newport Beach Film Festival to see Jensen's new movie Ten Inch Hero.

I'm no Roger Ebert or anything but I have to say that I really enjoyed the film. It was well written, it looked beautiful, the chemistry of the cast was palpable and their performances were simply sparkling. The trio of leading ladies in the movie (Elisabeth Harnois, Danneel Harris and Clea DuVall) did such a good job. I believed each of their performances. John Doe plays "Trucker" - the father figure of the group - I really dug his storyline with Alice Krige's character. Sean Patrick Flannery and Jordan Belfi are two guys I've seen from various roles (namely Dead Zone and Entourage, respectively) - they totally shined too. And of course there's Jensen who played a mohawked, sideburned, eyelinered character named Priestly. His performance was funny and endearing - and was so very unlike Dean Winchester - it was refreshing to see. The man brought the comedy but was also responsible for some "awww" moments too. The movie did a lot of little things right too - there's a running gag throughout the movie that has to do with somebody's wardrobe (I don't want to give anything away) - plus, I loved the way they used the music.

Hopefully Ten Inch Hero will be able to quickly find distribution so everyone can see it sooner rather than later.

Now, a little Supernatural business. In the latest TV Guide magazine (with My Name Is Earl on the cover), there's a feature on next week's episode. But you can catch the article here online as well. Just a heads up: it's spoilery.

And make sure to tune in tonight to the CW to see "Folsom Prison Blues." I'll meet you back here on Friday to discuss.

Tina - I just turned into a little green monster sprouting red horns!! I'm so very jealous you got to see the movie. Thanks for filling us in, I'm glad to hear it's as good as I thought it would be. Now if only I had millions so I could fund the distribution and get it out there quick!

As for the article, it was very spoilery, but I loved it anyway!

Tina - So cool that you got to see Ten Inch Hero! Did you stay for the Q&A and see Jensen?

I'm glad you enjoyed the movie - I can't wait to see it! It needs to be shown on the East Coast!!

Thanks for the review! :)

I do hope this movie shows up here in the Midwest. Obviously, I heart Jensen in a big way. But I also love Clea Duvall in basically everything and enjoyed Elizabeth Harnois in her shortlived series, Point Pleasant.

O.K., I just talked to my Dad and he is beyond stoked about the Alice song being on tonight's show. He is a huge fan. He said to tell you gals not familiar with the song that the lyrics are heavy and that our heroes could really be in some serious danger. Ooh, sounds good to me.

I moved the above comment over here. Are we moving on to this blog now, or what?

Heath, ditto your comments regarding Dean and Jo for me. Thank God we see eye to eye. Sometimes I think that people wanna see her with Dean. And, no I am not opening up Pandora's Box people. No hating on me for my above comment.

Mistress- You are correct. You can torture her all you want. But, I really am gonna post something regarding my feelings for her shortly.

Tina, I am so very jealous of you; My Dear. Please tell me that you at least laid eyes on Jensen in the theatre or that you stayed afterward and partook in all of his yumminess.

To Tina (and anyone else): The article here online didn't mention anything, but someone said that the TV Guide article briefly gives some information on the SN comic book coming out on May 2. Can anyone pass that information on to me? The next Buffy Season 8 installment comes out that day, too, so if I can kill two birds with one stone, I definitely want to.

Red - who did Elizabeth play in Point Pleasant? (BTW, I watched that show because I acutally go to Point Pleasant beach NJ every summer, it was so nothing like Point Pleasant! I was so aggravated that they named it that, plus none of the actors sounded like they lived in NJ...sorry had to nitpick a bit)

I loved "Point Pleasant". I don't know which character she played, though.

And, Red I just sent you an email back.

I guess I will tell everyone to come to this blog. MSunshine just said something hilarious about Jo and I am gonna tell her to come over here.

Oops, MSunshine is already here. Move that post about Jo over here, MSunshine. Or, post it again. It was really good.

And, Oceantriana is here. Hello, there.

Ok, I have to close this window down so I can actuall work, I realized with the temptation of this at the bottom of my screen I'm incapable of doing any real work.

Sean - DemonDean is on his way as we speak, the door should be kicked in at any second. This is good, I needed to send him away, he's quite a distraction while working! Make sure you have plenty of ice handy, those flames of his burn like a son of a b*tch!

Skye - I'd like to give Frankie & Billy a last name, I'll send it to you as soon as I get a chance to put some thought into it!

Heath - Just thought I'd mention that while talking about your story you wrote James/Dean and I had a nice little flash to Rebel Without a Cause! I'd actually like to name my sons James & Dean (not after the actor, just because I really like the names)

Elizabeth played Christina in Point Pleasant. The lead who turned out to be Satan's daughter.

Sorry, MSunshine if I sounded like I was demanding that you repost your Jo comment. I did not mean to sound that way.

Rain, DemonDean is coming? I gotta get ready. It is just after 12 and I am excited beyond words. Do you want me to keep him here, so you can get some work done? 'Cuz, if I run out of ice cubes we could always hop in the car and go over to the Shaved Ice Hut over in town for even more fun.]<img border=">

Tina - your status of Goddess just got an upgrade to like ... MEGA GODDESS ... seriously. You have the COOLEST job in the world AND you get to score great tics to cool events?! You rock !!!!

NOTE ABOUT STORY - I'm taking out the s*x scene with LaDona/Jen and Dean/James in the motel room and on the picnic table. sorry ... I know some of you were fans, but I want the s*xual tension to build a little and for their feelings over the long period they're apart to not be based 50% on the physical. Make sense?

Thanks Tina. I've heard a lot of good comments about this movie and, like you, hope that it finds its way into the theaters because I would love to see it. Everyone commented on not only Jensen's Priestly but also the great job and chemistry of the other actors. Let's hope the PTBs hear our plea and release this movie for general viewing. And yeah, later, DVD for sure, because it will be mine. LOL
