9:19: In response to a left-fielder about whether Angelina Jolie is pregnant, Angela Kinsey (who really is with child) took the mic, saying, "As it turns out, I am pregnant... and Brad is great!" Several journos started calling out "Adopt me!"
9:24: When asked when they got their SAG cards, some have been winging it. Jenna Fischer explained that she was only SAG "eligible" when she started putting it on her résumé.... But soon she got a real-life bill for more money than she had (it was $1,200 big ones at the time).
The movie she was working on at the time, though, went into extra production days — during which she earned exactly $1,200, and thus... she became official.
B.J. Novak, on the other hand, claimed he got it through charitable donation to L.A.'s local NPR affiliate, KCRW. "I donated 25 dollars," he said, " and weeks later, I got my card."
9:28: Tina Fey gushed about Steve Carell, but what does he think of her? "She's one of the funniest women on television," he said. He quickly added, "Present company excepted."
9:30: And finally, just as he was stepping off the stage, Carell answered a question about Ricky Gervais. "I saw Ricky in the men's room [earlier]," he said, "and I swear to god, he leaned over the urinal, and said, 'I knew it!'"
After that type of intimacy, would he want to be on Extras? "Whatever he does next I will follow," Carell said, and stepped away. — Anna Dimond
