Backstage: Tina Fey Finds a (Baby) Upside to the Strike

9:11: Tina Fey arrives, looking radiant. After some congrats, questions soon turn to how 30 Rock has been affected by the strike. According to Fey, the show's more vulnerable than others because it's been on the air less time. "We are the kind of show that could be affected by the strike.... We hope it's over soon.

9:13: As for stars Tina is excited to see, she said, "I walked behind Ellen Burstyn.... And I'd like to try to go back in the party and meet [Catherine Keener].

9:14: And if she weren't acting? "I would have been a schoolteacher," she said, adding that she would have bored her captive audience.

9:16: Fey did find one upside to the strike, however, noting that for her, being a working mom is "hard in the same way it is for all working parents; it's painful.... The one blessing of the strike has been that I'm home with my kid."

One thing she won't be doing while she's at home, though, is letting the kids toy with her new SAG trophy. "It's a baby-crusher," she said. — Anna Dimond

You seriously have to be kidding me? When they gave Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin the SAG awards for Best Comedy Series I turned the channel. I have never seen so many useless pathetic actors in one place at the same time in my life. Tina Fey has and never will be funny and this just shows that sleeping your way up the chain still works. She has almost single handedly destroyed SNL as a writer and comedian. No one watches SNL anymore and it has become an outlet for Liberal unfunny talent. So what do you do? Hire the person for its destruction and give her a show. 30 ROCK has NO RATINGS NO ONE WATCHES IT. So how does it still receive awards? I could name a dozen other shows that didn’t even get mentioned that should have been acknowledged. SNL is owned by NBC and NBC owes 30 ROCK, get it now?? You scratch my back I scratch your back. Talk about Media monopolies. Don’t get mad at Enron and Wal-Mart get mad at NBC for its continuing production of crap. Nothing NBC produces anymore is entertaining or worth spending a minute of my busy life to watch, not even to DVR/TEVO it.

wow xinunus take a pill

30 Rock is genius. You sound like someone who hates whenever a woman gets some respect. So you're either a bitter woman or an unenlightened male. Either way - sucks to be you.

Yes, NYCGirl if you watch 30 Rock you are a “NO ONE”. And on top of that you don’t have a life. I know talent when I see it and Tina has no talent. For the other loser that commented on my post, next time post more than 3 sentences and act like your enlightened yourself dimwit. Just so you know I have a Masters and a Bachelors degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering. I also regularly attend Broadway musicals and plays. Oh and I also love the Museum of Modern Art in NYC. Vincent van Gogh’s "Starry Night" is awesome. Next time you want to take a jab at someone’s intelligence just because you don’t like what they are saying, please look at yourself in the mirror first and try to do something productive in your life for a change. Peace out!
