« Pussycat Dolls Present: Girlicious
Episode Recap: Confidence
I so missed random screaming. I mean, how could you not miss sexy girls running and screaming over anything and everything for no apparent reason. After all, if you had a problem with it, you probably wouldn’t be watching this show anyway as it would drive you to poke holes in your eardrums. Though you probably would have liked when the one girl ran into the banister and definitely stopped screaming.
So the star of this season is definitely Natalie. The camera focuses on her a lot because she just won’t stop talking about people. But c’mon, if you can dish it then you need to be able to take it too. She talks trash behind everyone’s back and then starts crying when they give it right back to her to her face. The greatest part of this of course, is later in the show she actually has the balls to rip on Madonna. So who’s the first girl to slap the taste out of her mouth? It has to be coming soon.
Tonight was a little too predictable for my tastes. They must have mentioned a half dozen times that Megan was too pageant and not enough sexy. There was no doubt by the end that she was the one going home. They need to disguise the ending a little better than that.
For the most part this week I kind of thought the singing was bad across the board. I wasn’t that impressed with any of the national anthems (and um, you weren’t singing to thousands, maybe hundreds if you were lucky) and two of the three performances were pretty weak.
“Holiday” was the middle ground for me. Nichole I could deal with but I thought Tiffanie just went way overboard and Ilisa’s vocals were terrible. And of course, Ilisa looked kind of like a dude too. That’s not really that girlicious for me.
“Hit Me Baby One More Time” was easily the worst performance of the night. All four of them were off-key and why didn’t any of them actually follow the melody?
“Tearin’ Up My Heart” was the one performance I really enjoyed this week. All four ladies put on a nice cohesive show, both singing and dancing. I’m surprised that so many people seem to like Carrie though. She’s is a good singer, but just like Ilisa, she doesn’t really have the look for this. I mean, the skunk hair made her look like she was a mom still trying to cling onto her Def Leppard groupie years. And the braids…what a train wreck. But she can really belt a tune, so she’s sure to be around longer than a lot of these other girls.
At the end of the day though it’s not about the hair, the bitchiness or the crying. Natalie says it’s about “winning”. Her mom says it’s “being proud of yourself”. Mom is just so, so wrong. Just win baby!
Until next week, friends.

I think one of the reasons, some of these girls ( and I mean GIRLS) make a person nuts to watch them, is hearing an 18 year old cry " How she has wanted/worked for this her entire life!!" Her entire 18 years on the planet. Yeah, right. they have NO clue about life at 18....
