Michael Plans a Broad Daylight Prison Break!
Wade Williams and Chris Vance by Bill Matlock/Fox
Episode Recap: "Interference"
It was an... interesting episode. Some starts and stops for Michael's plan. Michael's plan to bust out of prison. Michael's plan to bust out of prison in the middle of the day. By running for the fence.
OK....
Anyway, Michael had just worked out the guards' two weaknesses — the inability to buy sunglasses, and a borderline unhealthy compulsion to watch Southern American sporting events — when the bulls showed and locked up his birdwatching perch. In the end, though, crazy Mahone came through with The Cup. Turns out that the guard who looks like (is?) Tony Robbins simply has to have his java, and in fact downs it and drops his cup in... the same... place. Every day. Now, the boys realize, they just need to get to Hurtado's joe and, I'm guessing, drug it?
On the outside, Lincoln and Sofia scouted out escape routes and — I'll say it — found some sparks along the way. Dominic Purcell hinted at that in my (blatant plug alert) video Q&A with him last week. Better her than Susan B., I suppose. But what did Linc bury in the sand, their "escape vehicle"? Scuba gear of some sort?
Sucre, meanwhile, has himself caught up in something sketchy, smuggling into the joint an illicit something Lechero's No. 1 (he have a name?) needs. My guess is that ultimately, this sideline biz for Sucre will waylay his ability to help as gravedigger. And/or he's giving Lech's lieutenant something we do not want him to have.
Lastly, what's up with T-Bag and Hooker Nun? Gen-yoo-ine feelings?!
Just a few bullets: • Susan B. "quipping," "There's a bad joke about Sara in there, I'm sure." • Whistler (McFadden?) to Michael: "I'm guessing you always won the elementary science fair?" • T-Bag working the woo: "In this world we are all prostitutes, sister. You are a queen." • Didn't Wentworth do an actually excellent job of looking scared when he had the guard's gun to his head?

I'm not liking that guard who hit my baby like that. First it was Lee and now its this dweeb. I didn't that guard looked liked Tony Robbins but the head one in charge looked a little like Joe Mantegna.
Anyway who is this newebie fellow? And what is his connection to Whistler? I think Mike knows who he is...cause when he first saw him...Mike looked a little puzzled at first.
I'm also wondering what was in that cooler. I don't think its scuba gear. But I can't waite to find out whats in it.
I gotta agree Matt that my baby Wentworth did do an excellent job for acting scared with the gun pointed to his head.
Finally, I have one question. I know it has been 2 weeks since the last show....but where did they get the binoculars from?

He stole the binoculars from another inmate.

I guess I'm puzzled about Sucre. Every time he's near the prison I expect someone to recognize him.
And yeah, Sofia was looking nice on the beach. Maybe Linc will get some "action" this season. LOL
I can't wait until Michael breaks out. It's going to be tough getting out of Panama. Plus, he's going to be fired up at Linc for not telling him about Sarah.

I also thought that guard looked like Tony Robbins. LOL
Yes, there's definitely something between Whistler's girlfriend and Lincoln. I wonder how they're gonna work that.
I HATED the dig about Sara. It's bad enough they killed her, I don't need to hear remarks about them having killed her! Bleh-

I thought it was extremely bad taste when she said that about Sara. And I don't think I would even have any hope that LJ is still alive if I was Linc.
I'm curious about what was in the cooler and who the new guy is. He looked familiar. I am also curious what is being sent into the prison. And who was that anyway? (The guy that wanted him to smuggle stuff in?)
I don't really see anything going on with Linc and W's girlfriend. I wish Linc would grow just a little hair. He has a huge head. I thought he was much better looking in John Doe.(I think that was the name of the show.) He kind of looks like he has done steroids now.

The new guy is played by Dominic Keating. He is also playing a reoccurring role on Heroes. He was on Enterprise as Lt. Malcolm Reed the head of security.

What was it the new guy said to Whistler about an Ambassador? I didn't catch exactly what he said, but I have a feeling it was true, whatever it was.

interesting episode. I thought that Linc had Sara's head in the cooler, proof for later "an escape plan" to show what these people did. If he hides the evidence, they can't. ??
Also, did anyone notice that the red lights/ad finally had a purpose!

Another solid ep. Good setup for what's ahead. I too agree that WM did an excellent job of looking scared when that gun was pointed at his head.
Didn't like the Sarah joke either. But then again, I don't like any thing about this character any way.
I've been thinking all along that there's more to Whistler's story.
Linc and Sophia...who knew!
Can't wait to see the two hour show in a couple of weeks.

I really don't think Sara's head is in the box. W's girlfriend would have freaked out. I wonder what the hell he did with it though ~ Do you bury it? Or save it for Michael? EEEWW. It's not something you want to keep hanging around that's for sure.
Adanzante ~ Thanks for the info. I think it must be Heroes that is making him seem familiar.
And yes what was that about the Ambassador?
And does anyone have any theories about why they have a deadline to get the Whistler out?

I believe the item buried in the sand was the 'head' of Michael's girlfriend

I do not believe that was Sarah's head in the cooler. Why would her head be their escape vehicle? I believe it was some miniature airtanks and scuba gear. Remember that Whistler owns a boat so he will be accustomed to the water.
Luchero is getting screwed over by his second in command who is ending up with drugs that Sucre is smuggling into SONA! Luchero will freak if he finds out - which I am sure he will, and I am sure that this will coincide with Michaels escape from SONA!

Ok thanks Amybabe....now I remember Mike stealing the binoculars from the other inmate. I need to rewatch the previous episodes before the new ones so I can remember what happened.
Anyway, I also don't think that was Sara's head in the box. Homegirl would of freaked out.
Good question ZZZ999 about the deadline.

Hey guys...
Great episode last night...
Ok, my guess of what is in the cooler... They are miniture air tanks like they used in Bay Watch... What else would Linc get at a Dive Shop... He buried it there along the shore, thus why the boys have to sneak out the south side of the prison (either that or to avoid the guard with the sports addiction) where the water is... Thus, you bury what you need to escape through the water...
I so felt the charge between Sofia and Linc... And the way he looked at her... WoW, I melted, and I am not really into Linc all that much!
I am so wondering what exactly the company wants with Whistler to begin with... At the begining, and kinda still now and I mean kinda, I thought Whistler might be working for the company, per say, like Kellerman, ended up in SONA and now they need him out... Thus Michael and thus why Whistler isn't dead... And with the, I wanna say, Embassy comment, I think it just fits... But we shall see...
Again these are all thoughts and ideas....
Loved that T-Bag (who still creeps me out) is making Mahone more of an addict plus running him a "tab" LoL!!! Ya know, he just wants the info that he can give him...
I was wondering what was in the "bag" that Sucre was sneaking in... Then when the "second head" guy got it... I thought it might be a gun for a revolt against Lucchero, or maybe drugs, to out due Lucchero... Just dont know... But I do know that "second" guy is totally ticked that T-Bag is moving in... Lets see how it goes!!!
Two weeks, darn BB, but heck, I'll take a two hour episode in return!!!
Alright y'all... Have a great day...
