Has Lincoln's Plan Tragically Backfired?
Linc's bid to grab back LJ and Sara may have had dire consequences. Prison Break's Dominic Purcell by Bill Matlock/Fox
Episode Recap: "Call Waiting"
Yikes. I'm afraid Brad Pitt may have been down this road before. Does that box contain... nah, sweet li'l Prison Break wouldn't do that. Right? But the look on Linc's face... Maybe it was just full of Celine Dion CDs.
Let's back up. So, James Whistler is wanted back on the outside because he, like, took some scientist type to a remote location on his charter boat. (I was having trouble following that if only because it was so much exposition and so soon.) What happened to the Prison Break that fed us crumbs?
I have to say, I'm a bit disappointed in Sucre. He came back to Linc only to get some of the (lost) millions? I thought he was back to join Team Scofield-Burrows. Do you think we've seen the last of him, or will he resurface later to help save the day?
This episode answered one burning question I had: how an inmate is notified of a visitor since there are no guards. Somehow they are expected to hear the PA speaker over all that jail-yard clamor. Great system that.
"If I can't break [Whistler] out of here, you'll have to break [Sara and LJ] out of there." That was good and dramatic when Mikey said it, but the plan seems to have gone south and quick.
It was sweet when Whistler said to unshowered Sofia, "Whatever you smell like, it's a significant upgrade." And then I started falling asleep. Zzzzzz. Way too early to have us caring about their tortured romance.
Anyone else learning lots of Spanish, and perhaps not the most flattering kind? "Blanquito"? But T-Bag and his "patron" sucking-up makes me laugh. He's really playing the "bucky massa."
Miscellaneous factoids: It's roughly June 20; Mahone's med of choice is named Varatril; the Sona barber is... um, Pistachio. I vaguely remember that "guy" from the final frames of last season, when they showed us the riffraff down in "Lost & Found."
"It's a lost cause.... We can see it now." And Substitute Sara's whole "midnight-3 o'clock" thing? C'mon, Linc, I had that figured out in a jiffy! Dude was looking for a clock?! (And yes, to TVGuide.com's Qupert, those two vastly different Sara Polaroids were quite noticeable.)
Final thought: I'm afraid Fichtner is being wasted. Mahone's whole "withdrawal" storyline simply isn't giving him much to do (though more than, say, Bellick). But that could all change if he gets pulled into the escape plan. Which is what, by the way? Escape by playing dead? Is that what Michael's thinking, looking out the window?

What in the WORLD were they doing using two OBVIOUSLY different pictures of Sara? Was that intentional, or a major continuity snafu? They showed the 2 different shots more than once.
WA-EIRD.....

Thanks for the shout out, Matt. (I reposted here before I read your blog!)
I too thought that Michael was going to "play dead" to get outside, but I'm not so sure now, seeing as how they shoot them in the head to make sure they're dead. But if anyone can pull it off, it's our favorite escapee, right?

I for one knew that that wasn't Sara. I noticed that both photos were different also. I'm assuming that is also why they didn't show her face while she was on the phone w/ Michael. But the voice did sound a bit familiar. Hmm... Or am I wrong there. I know that she's not coming back, so I guess I am.
I'm hoping that Sucre sobers up enough to help Lincoln out. Obviously, he has no where else to go, but passing out on Lincoln's door step.
If he plays dead, won't he end up dead? Oh Dear!
Mahone - you're definitely not lookin' too good there. Another outburst like that, & those bullets may not be aimed for your feet. Let's hope that you either make nice w/ Mikey or make it through the year.
Bellick ... ugh ... what will he do? Help Michael or go to the head honcho?
T-Bag - time to make nice Theodore!
"Sara" kicked her shoe out the window - I'm assuming that this is the hint to what's in the box - "What's in the box? What's in the box!" "Get away from the box!" "What's in the box!?" Thank you Brad Pitt & Morgan Freeman (love those guys).

Man I hope nothing awful is in that box. I don't think I can take a "Seven" reference.
Anyway, I too was thinking that Mike was going to play dead to get out of Sona, but that theory went out the window.
I agree about Mahone and Bellick. They need to give them something better to do.
Is it just me or does the "Susan B. Anthony" woman sorta looks like Veronica?
And my poor Sucre, you gotta feel sorry for him. But I just remembered something. I know he was stabbed by T-bag, but wasn't he stabbed in his side or stomach? And if so why does he have bandages on his chest? But back to Sucre....Im also hoping he sobers up and help Linc and Mike out.

I really hope what is in the box is not what we might be thinking. I honestly have to say I will stop watching the show if they kill Sara or LJ off that way. If they are planning to kill Sara- I would hope it would be in the arms of Michael. OK ok a girl can think that right ;o)

I also thought he was going to pretend to be dead to get out of there but I don't think so after seeing what they do to the bodies.
I did notice two different pics too. I thought it was just me. Good to know it wasn't. I hope they get someone to replace Sara if not SWC. I want the love story to continue...

I think Mike's escape plan has to do with getting on the "grounds crew" so to speak. And then figuring things out from there.
They have made the character of Sucre such a sniffling whiner since Season 1 that I can't even stand to see him anymore. Plus, I'm a little angry that we had to put up with his whiney Maricruz rantings all last season, only to have him end the relationship this season. They either need to make his character stronger or get rid of him altogether. He's beyond annoying, now.
I noticed that Mahone had quite a bit of beard stubble growth, while no one else seems to have any. Didn't realize that going through drug withdrawals made facial hair grow faster! Also, Whistler doesn't seem too afraid of the other cellmates anymore since he left his hole. Wonder what drove him there in the first place.
I'll have to go with everyone else in thinking that Sara's head is in the box. Although Linc will probably not tell Mike that Sara's dead, because if he does, then Mike won't bother busting Whistler out of jail and Linc will lose his son.
I also noticed the difference in the Sara pictures. Every time they showed it, I would say to my husband, "Now that one looks like her," or "That one doesn't look like her at all." It would be a lot more believeable that it was her if the news of her not wanting to come back to the show had not leaked to the press over the summer (and read by fans like me). But at least her stand in is getting some screen time, right?
Love that the jail lord calls T-Bag Theodoro. That T-Bag, he sure knows how to survive, doesn't he?

T-Bag stabbed him right above his left breast.
That Susan B Anthony character is driving me nuts - I hope she gets killed off - horrible acting, totally unbelievable character.

Yes, "Susan B" is a horrible actress.
Secondly, she's supposed to be a "love interest" for Lincoln? Ummm, would you fall in love with someone that is trying to kill your kid? I don't think so! He has more chemistry (I think so) with Whistler's girlfriend.
I have to admit with Prison Break and Heroes last night, it made for a LONG night. Both are starting to bore me to tears.

When did SWC say she was leaving the show? I thought she was out while she was pregnant but would return after the birth.

She apparently decided not to return after having her baby. It was announced a few weeks ago.

OKAY - We all know that Sara's head is in the box and Lincoln will not be able to tell Michael because it will ruin him and his chances of escaping with Whistler. I don't see any way around this. Let's just get it over with and move on!

i was thinking exactly the same thing about Brad Pitt in Se7en. The whole "what's in the box" thing has been done, and seeing as we all know SWC is leaving the show, Sarah's decapitated head won't come as much of a surprise. But I have to say i think that is pushing the edge a little, even for prison break. . .but only if they show it, which they probably won't.
I am starting to get bored already with the show, and we are only three episodes in. This is the same thing that happened to 24 last season, but i'm hoping prison break can pick it up cuz i don't want to think of watching the show as a chore.
