Episode Recap: "Move on Cartwrights"

Looks like Rusty is finally ready to move on from Jen K with a girl from lit class he has a crush on. After a middle school-style set up by Dale, Rusty met Emma (and Emma's roommate and Dale) for coffee. Emma's roommate, Tina, is pretty intense. She's loud, assertive and hates the Greek system. The date turns into "Greek Inquisition" but all is not lost when Emma agrees to go out with Rusty again.

It also seems that ZBZ is also ready to move on from Jen K (or at least the drama she caused), especially after some girls were invited another frat's formal. Now that they are no longer social pariahs, the ZBZs are ready to rebuild their bond with Omega Chi (their counterparts in terms of social status and attractiveness). Frannie convinces Ashleigh who convinces Casey to go talk to Omega Chi about mixing. Casey goes to the Omega Chi house to talk to Dino (the Omega Chi president? When did Evan stop being pres?), but Evan's harsh tone (totally unnecessary by the way) told Casey everything she needed to know.

Cappie is sick and Rebecca wants nothing to do with him...until she learns what an angel Casey used to be. But, not even sexy nurse outfits and intense jealousy of Casey can help Rebecca deal with germ-infested Cappie. After trying to fulfill Cappie's long list of demands Rebecca has enough and finally hires a professional.

Tina becomes the new super member of U-SAG and Rusty becomes the new super stalker. Mixes, a new white board, questionnaires it's all too much! Emma is turned off/creeped out by Rusty's actions. Emma isn't the only one turned off; Tina completely intimidates Dale to the point of hiding under the bed to avoid seeing her.

Ashleigh has a chat with Calvin and soon enough Omega Chi votes to mix with ZBZ. Turns out most (and by most I mean all) of the opposition was coming from Evan. The house is psyched about mixing, but Casey is a little hesitant about interacting with Evan. Her worst fears come true when she and Evan are both on party patrol and manage to let their own feelings escalate into an argument over stamps which blew up into an argument about their relationship (and by blow up I mean they shouted loud enough for everyone to stare awkwardly at them).

The next day, Frannie goes to Evan and offers to help him, but then rejects him when he tries to kiss her, so I don't exactly get what her intensions were. Who knows ever know with Frannie, though? Apparently kissing Frannie gives Evan the inspiration to decide he wants Casey back. Casey also woke up inspired and tells Evan she's finally ready to move on (not at all what I was expecting, but way to assert your independence). Casey is also ready to move forward with Frannie and informs her she is off probation and that she can move back into the ZBZ house.

Rebecca goes to see Cappie and finds him healthy once again. Rebecca reminds Cappie that isn't Casey and is relieved to learn Cappie is OK with that...and that Casey's secret was to knock Cappie out with cough syrup when he was sick and then sneak away for a few hours while he slept.

Rusty apologizes to Emma for being such a creeper, or "jumping the gun" as he says. Tina also admits to Rusty that she can be awkward while getting to know people and tends to jump into things. The two reach an understanding and some kind of weird, potential romance vibe lingers (oh it lingered, don't pretend you didn't notice).

So Casey is on her own, thoughts? ZBZ is back at the top of the Greek social pyramid, do you think it will last? What exactly is Frannie up to? Who’s excited to meet the parents next week?

1st timer here...to posting.

I really like Greek and I think it is pretty close to actual life in college. The girls have a little more drama than we actually had, but it is a show and it has to be entertaining.

The pranks have me laughing and remembering my own wild days. I hope the writers keep it coming.

Rusty. You need some serious guidance .....maybe you should talk to Cappie to get & more iportantly listen to some advice on how to approach & interact with the ladies! I couldn't turn away from the train wreck I saw coming. I definitely saw the lingering spark.

I liked Dale hiding from the girl that one upped him on all his tests. Dale is quite the character. Nice to see him be Dale without having to be over the top in your face. Thank you writers.

Somehow I think Evan will be playing a lot of Cinderella "Don't Know What You Got (Till It's Gone)." He really shouldn't have been so bent over the Casey/Cappie kiss. I can see angry & hurt but he did sleep with Rebecca. HUGE difference. I think Evan is the pledge master / HR guy for the house.

I liked Casey "stepping up" for herself. Her comments to Evan were right target. Glad to see she got after Evan.

Frannie.....she's got to be up to no good. She walked away from Evan because she didn't want to be just a fling. I think she is after the Chamber name not after Evan.

One Eye Cappie & Naughty Nurse Rebecca. Those two bound just a little bit more each week although the preview for next week doesn't look good. No way does Rebecca put up with a sick Cappie if she didn't really care for him. I did love the constant text she was getting. Her "I'll pay anyone $100 to watch Reba with Cappie. We're on season five." was great. Although the warm peanuts from the sofa cushion was just a little gross. Of course all the Kappa's looking for crakers in the cushions was funny.

Can't wait for next week.

The opening was so funny! Rusty was talking bad about their professor - Dale thought she was approaching and said, "Dear God, please make me invisible!" Ha! Those two are awesome together. It makes sense that Rusty is awkward with girls, but he needs some serious help. It's sweet, but kind of creepy.

I liked that Evan and Casey got out their anger at the mixer. It really changed both of their perpectives the next morning. I like them together, so I hope they don't stay apart for too long. I don't want either of them tramping around.

And of course, Frannie's up to no good. I say this every week . . . and I'm sure she'll prove us right. Maybe she could mess with someone other than Casey for a bit? Girl needs some peace!

I hate to admit it but I am loving Cappie and Rebecca more and more as time goes by. You can see that they really care for each other. I just don't know if I want Cappie and Casey back together anytime soon. They don't fit at the moment.

Also we all know that Rusty and that girl Tina are going to hook up. I saw it from the first scene they had and how they were going back and forth.

Frannie definitely likes Evan and wants to be with him but she doesn't want to be a rebound girl. Kind of sad that her turning Evan down made him realize that he wanted to be with Casey. I love that Casey finally embraced her independence.
I don't like Casey and Evan together but I don't want Casey back with Cappie. Keep her single and searching for a while. Plus can we get Ashleigh a man. I am sick of her being single and Casey's sidekick. I need her to get her own Greek man on campus.
Loved the episode. Can't wait to see next week. Dang I wish we could meet Cappie's parents.
