Episode Recap: The Young and the Stoned

If anyone ever decides to make the definitive Courtney Love biopic, they need to hire Anna Faris for the lead. With her platinum blonde hair and slightly slurry way of speaking, she is very reminiscent of the multi-hyphenate performer. Maybe Eric can broker that deal for Anna as her new manager. (And maybe someone can finagle me a cut for my excellent casting suggestion.)

While Eric was busy turning a fender bender into a career opportunity, Mrs. Ari was reinvigorating her soap opera career. As Kendall Scott, town slut, her kiss with her dreamy costar was too much for Ari to bear. Apparently, our favorite power agent prefers his woman home tending to the kids and his every whim. I love that they have given Perrey Reeves so much more to do this season because she is such a good foil for Jeremy Piven. (Interested in hearing more from everyone’s favorite trophy wife? While Turtle tended to the business of setting up house, Vince enticed him with some exceptionally good marijuana. And Turtle, perpetually trading on Vince’s celebrity, was able to pick up all the necessary "supplies" for a great party. I wasn’t sure how he would wiggle out of the traffic stop, but that perpetual rainbow that Vince lives under must stretch to include all the boys.

So how will Vince react to sharing his manager with other clients? And where has Billy Walsh been hiding? All will be revealed... soon. In the meantime, check out our Online Video Guide for more Entourage.

The episode was good, but lately I feel like I am watching two different shows... one with Vince & his posse and the other one about the life of Ari the uberagent. I liked it when the guys had to deal with Ari... I don't think there was any interaction between them in this show.

I'm confused with all the big-time spending, a $50,000 desk, a suite of offices, a $30,000 per month house? I thought Vince was broke? I know "Medellin" was accepted into the film festival and they're expecting a big pay day, but it's not here yet. Do you pay your rent with the Black Card?

Good episode, I loved Ari being jealous. I think I heard only 3 more shows??? Sunday nights will be terrible without the guys!

Though still a really enjoyable show, Entourage has definitely fallen into a predictable formula:

Story A: Conflict for Vince + E (though this week it was just E)

Story B: Wacky shenanigans with Turtle + Drama

Story C: Ari + Mrs. Ari or Ari + Lloyd

It was definitely great to see more of Perrey Reeves this week (MUCH more - and I wouldn't mind this happening more often), and the focus on her career as the Ari subplot was a nice change of pace.

But otherwise, I'm really hoping that the writers have some big, new stuff cooked up for season 5. So far season 4 has seemed like a greatest hits compilation of seasons 1-3.

Vince was payed $6M for his next movie that he is acting in, and Billy Walsh is supposed to direct!

I agree that we need some more Ari and gang interaction. Nothing better than the Vegas episode!

Brian, you are exactly right, the show has become very formulaic. It is getting boring for me....I think it's run its course. They could bring it back with a great episode or two in Cannes...but something needs to liven it up again.

Vince got $2 million up front for his next movies

O.k 2 million up front. minus taxes, all the spending. No way!

Also, there is no way they would give Vince a "Black Card". No Way!

How much crap could they inject into Anna's lips? Holly crap they were full. She looked bad. She couldn't even move her top lip. Watch it again.

I agree. The show is going no where. I am canceling HBO and will get future eps from Netflix.

Still love the show very much. Just need to do a bit more hollywood living and bring in more star interactions big stars not the used to be stars. Vince is a big deal and would be interacting with a lot more heavy hitters than he is now. I see that he is still a homeboy and a homebody but come on. Anyway I will aways maintain that Vince is the weakest character on the show and that is not neceassarially a bad thing since the show is about his "Entourage".

WTH happened to Anna Faris? Her lips were HUGE! She reminded me of Goldie Hawn in the "First Wives club". Also, her hair has gone from blonde to trashy platinum. She looked so much better before.

Loved seeing Mrs. Ari doing her soap. Funny stuff.
