Preview: Is this Week's Closer Next Year's Emmy Reel?
Just a quick note to remind you, not that you would ever fail, to watch tonight's episode of The Closer (9 pm/ET on TNT). I screened it this morning and it is wonderful, easily one of the best of the season (which is saying a lot). Kyra has a scene toward the end that screams Emmy and, as I write about it here, again has my eyes welled-up.
Overall, the case at hand is a rather nifty one, and the scenes with both of Brenda Leigh's parents are so many flavors of awesome. Frances Sternhagen and Barry Corbin will slay you.
