Disney is never going to recreate, at least for this generation, another High School Musical. End of story.
Demi Lavato just plain gets on my nerves. She's all mouth and teeth and no talent. There's simply nothing endearing about her.
At least when Hannah Montana was being introduced, we were sort of treated to her in small doses before the premiere. This Demi girl is about to be shoved down our throats because when Hannah ages out, this girl is supposedly going to be the next "big" thing. Yuck.

I liked it. Yes it fit into the mold of Disney crap, like "oooh I'm going to lie about who I really am to fit in"
and then "uh oh someone found out!"
but in the end "Yay! I know who I am, and everyone is so inspired by me that we all learn a lesson, and I get the guy!"
But it's better than Highschool Musical, at least the songs had a point (they were all preformances) And the JoBros, were a def. plus! =]

As a Mom, I spend most part of show telling my daughter she is not to be like Mitchie or Tessie. Such bad examples. Liars and back-stabbing almost three quarter of the show. Disney...shame on you. What are you trying to teach the kids...it is okay to be horrible because everything will be fine in the end?? I was not impress with the cast at all. I am sorry, Disney, this show is a disappointment. The acting leaves a lot to be desired. I almost needed sunglasses because Mitchie's smile was just so exaggerated. Why did Mitchie even feel compelled to join Tessie when she has a friend in Caitlyn? Is she so attention seeking? Shane, the character, is so confuse...is he a jerk or not? You can't behave like a spoilt brat jerk one moment and yet so senstive and tender the next. Not so convincing. I will give this show a D.

I just watched the movie last night during the DC premiere and I have to say I find it's more edgeier than HSM, but has the old Disney Channel formula: predictable, rediculous and classic Disney. Demi Lovato and Joe Jonas had good chemistry on screen though. I was hoping the they would show the kiss in the final scene though instead of fading out! Camp Rock is a movie worth watching only once.

I am so sorry to have to report that Camp Rock was a HUGE disappointment. My daughter and her friends were so looking forward to this movie and it was no where near the hype it was suppose to be. I personally thought it was half-baked and cheesy. The Jonas brothers may be popular-- but High School Musical this was not! Lead female had a great voice-- but everyone else was less than mediocre. We are sorely, SORELY disappointed. Shame on you Disney for taking advantage of us like this. Please don't cash in on your past successes like this again. Get to work and create something real-- something FABULOUS like HSM!
