Episode Recap: "Second Chances"
Well, this episode wasn't as laugh-out-loud funny as the previous ones, but I enjoyed my weekly Chicago visit nevertheless. Especially when there are fun guest stars. Helloooo, Jeremy Sisto! Talk about jaws dropping to the floor....
But for some reason, I just knew that when he sat P.J. down, he was going to reveal that he was either married or engaged. And what an awkward way to explain it: "Just testing the waters once more to make sure I'm in love with my fiancée and not you." Ew! My jaw quickly set itself back into place. Plus, I'm not a fan of P.J. giggling like a little girl when she's around a guy. That's so not her personality.
Aside from that guest appearance, there wasn't much else going on this week. Brando's going through a disappointing phase of messing around, but I hope he comes out of it soon. Plus, I still hold onto a little bit of hope that he'll one day sweep P.J. off her feet — or ask her out on that Jumbotron screen at the ballpark.
As for the rest of the gang, we all knew Mike working with Kenny would be a bad idea. First of all, Mike's just crazy. Second of all, Kenny's too anal. Put them together and it's a recipe for disaster. Leave it to Andy to bring the whole storyline together with a funny mock courtroom at Crowley's. Also, I did like seeing Kenny's store — a new setting we're not familiar with.
Lastly, watching Steph struggle through her debt diet is pretty funny. I'm curious to see if her financial-fitness instructor becomes more than a debt advisor. I'd like to see her dating flops, too, because she's so different from P.J.
As usual, my favorite lines of the night:
"It's a free ringtone, OK? I don't know how to change it." — Mike
"Although to be honest, I'm not entirely sure I know your last name." — Bobby
"If I had an imaginary girlfriend, she'd always be naked." — Andy
Gotta love Andy.

I was disappointed tonight. This season has been very uneven. I feel like the writers are tryingtoo hard to be smart or funny instead of just being themselves.
I think Thorne's thing abotu seeing PJ to make sure he's not amking a mistake - I think that part is pretty real and was good. Don't you ever have a thought like that, that you break up with someone and meet someone new and you wonder if you made a mistake?
What didn't make sense to me is that after Thorne told PJ he was just checking to make sure he wasn't still in love with her and PJ asked what conclusion he came to, his answer was "I'm still engaged" - not exactly a vote of confidence for the future Mrs. Thorne.

It was interesting to see Brando becoming more of a jerk this week, one of the Andy's Commute shorts on TBS.com shows the Brando from next week's preview. Guess they just jumped the gun releasing that online, before the episodes caught up to that change in character.

First off....if you haven't checked out those shorts "Andy's Car" on tbs, PLEASE DO!!!! There's a button in the corner that says "Boss coming?" click it. It made me laugh out loud.
Okay onto the epi. Thorne is an ass. What was with the "mmmhhh" after him and PJ kissed in the cab? I hate to admit it but I've been there. "Hey seeing you made me realize I really do love her.' Wow...thanks...a lot.
Also I think they should make Kenny run into a glass door and say "It's so clean I didn't see it" or something like that. Every time I see him on that Windex commercial....it makes me laugh.

Andy is a hoot!! The whole group together couldn't be any better! I liked this weeks episode... It's nice to have a change.. hey that's life.. Too funny when Mike "re-organized" the store.. "At least I can find things now!" PJ can be a girl... that's what I liked about her being all mushy with Thorne.. as even girls like her can be mushy! Great show.. I'm glad it's on!
