Episode Recap: March 23, 2008
After a weekend of basketball and bunnies, I was ready to settle in for a nice, comfortable episode of Big Brother. Since my NCAA pool was already down the pooper and my stomach full of candy and ham, watching BB brought me back to reality. So let's "hop" to this recap, m'kay? I'm exhausted!
I loved seeing Matt get evicted again. See ya! Even better? James said the house guests were stupid for voting him back. Natalie must have been regretting her decision big time. Not only did she bring him back, she dropped in the HOH after making a deal with him. Brilliant. People get all bent out of shape when the house guests lie and go back on their word, but I love it. Isn't that the point?
So Adam was the new HOH and was already complaining about making decisions and, go figure, actually playing the game. Go home then! He said he didn't want to win but he jumped on that buzzer when he could have let Chelsia have it. And you know what, he should have. He wouldn't have been her target. All he did was put himself in a position to make enemies. I don't know if he's stupid or full of bologna. Adam has mystified me the whole season. He speaks weird and he acts strange and his eyes just move as if they are independent from his body.
Natalie: "That's it I'm done. D-U-N with these people!" Really? Dun? I'm D-U-N trying to figure this chick out. She justified Matt pushing her away as he left the house as him being upset. Hello — he doesn’t like you! Josh's face when she said it was so priceless. She's trying to avenge the eviction of a man who doesn't care about her. "Wait till the new Nattie comes out." Yeah, I'm eagerly anticipating this "new" woman. Unless she's going to get a brain and a backbone, I couldn't care less.
The furr-iends segment was hilarious. It must stink to be stuck in a house with people who grate on your nerves. Josh has been making me laugh lately. Could I be warming to him? Not likely.
There was a boring luxury competition to win the chance to see the movie 21. I loved how the show played suspenseful music like it really mattered who won. I'm sure seeing a movie is like gold in that boring house, but I didn't care. Ryan won, I snored. But wait — there was more. If he put the movie on the line and played a hand of black jack and won, he'd win a Las Vegas weekend getaway for two. I was with Josh when he said he didn't want to see Jen and Ryan win anything else. Awful Jen. Just thinking of her at home counting her Ryan's money made me sick! But I must admit it'd be stupid not to gamble. Ryan thought the same thing and ended up losing. Sorry Jen.
Adam must be pretty dumb if Natalie had to tell him the smart move for nominations. I'm sure Sheila is annoying, but putting Chelsia and James on the block made the most sense. They are loyal to one another and strong. Luckily he listened and the love birds were put on the block together. More importantly, Adam picked a side. Now he has shown his hand. I thought he had a pretty good non-threatening vibe going for him, but it was over for him now. He made his feelings quite clear in his speech.
Who's winning that Veto? How will it shift the game if it is used? We'll find out Tuesday (if you don't already know). Check out cbs.com to see how the fans can play a role in the next HOH competition. I'll be back Wednesday to break it all down for ya. Until then, chat away! — Krista

Great recap Krista! I really enjoyed the furr-iends segment. That was hilarious. I've often wondered what animals think! Also, when will Nat be able to buy a brain, or at least win one in a competition?!?!?! I am one of those that can't wait to see things played out on the show. I am constantly checking jokersupdates so I know how everything is turning out (rest assured, I won't spoil it). So, I'll be checking in on Tuesday and Wednesday to see what everyone thinks.

I am glad Adam made the picks he did. I am just disappointed that he really wasn't smart enough to make them on his own. If Natalie has to educate you, on anything, you are not the brightest bulb. I reckon the end result is what is most important. Adam doesn't seem smart enough to win this game, at this moment. One more thing on Natalie; Her mind is often as scrambled as the eggs in a breakfast burrito but if enough random thoughts enter her mind some are bound to stick and make sense. How else can you explain Natalie coming up with the notion of Dick coming back in? It is very hard to make Jessica Simpson look bright, but...
I get a kick out of all the threats made by these people. "Oh my! I have been put on the block! Revenge! Revenge!" You can't win this game if your only strategy is revenge. Joshuah still acts like there is no way he will get nominated. Too bad though since I am having trouble seeing Adam recognizing the moment. Natalie needs to talk some more sense into Adam.
I am down to two guesses about what the veto competition will be. Since Dick will host it I am thinking something to do with the pouring of liquids on people or a face recognition contest. I still see Chelsia winning the veto and possibly Joshuah going on the block. If not him, it will be Sharon. Looks like James going home at this point.

This was kind of a boring episode or maybe I'm just full, tired and grumpy. Anyway, the Sharon and her furr-iends segment was pretty funny. I have been waiting for BB to put something together with all of the furr-iends footage (and there is a LOT). While we're on the subject of Sharon, what is the deal with that baby blue scarf thingy she's always wearing? On BBAD she does some weird thing with her fingers with it literally over and over. It's so bizarre.
Joshuah's eye rolling and diary room sessions were funny tonight but I've seen wayyyy too much to even start to entertain thoughts of liking him. All of the nasty things he's said and done never make the regular shows, so if you don't watch BBAD, the feeds or read the spoiler sites take my word for it. I have to give credit where credit is due, however. With all of his tirades, he has NEVER been on the block and he has secret side deals with most everyone in the house. He could go all the way (scary thought).
Speaking of nasty things said and done, it wouldn't be a K4lakers post without me saying how vile and repulsive Chelsia is. I don't want to give anything away until after Tuesday's show, but let's just say that if her family had any decency, they've probably already moved to another state and changed their names.
Oh! What the heck is up with Adam and the baby food? Is it weird or is it just me? I don't think I've tasted it since I was a baby so maybe I'm missing out, but that was an odd choice for his "favorites" basket. Even his fridge was wall-to-wall baby food.
Nice try BB and CBS with the America's Choice...I'm not falling for that again. Why vote when no matter what America wants, you'll just give it to the kid with pink hair. Puhlease!!

I think this is my first time posting for this season. Man, many of these people are unlikable. I was very glad that Jen left early because she is a horrible person. I didn't like Jacob in his short time. The guy made one of the dumbest moves in this show's history. And he also seemed very unlikable. Alex and Matt were interchangable yankees. Both of them liked to talk a big game. I didn't like how Alex treated Amanda. I didn't even think Amanda was that bad. She liked to gossip and her voice was annoying. That was about it. You have all that time, so of course you will gossip some. Just don't get all the hatred they had for her.
Joshuah has been better lately, but he is a loathsome person. The things he said to Amanda probably even made Evel Dick blush. Horrible. Sheila seriously needs medication. She has thrown so many people under the bus. Allison. Ryan. Adam. The woman goes from one extreme to another. I hate how she whines about not getting some of these prizes in this game. Get over it. Jeez.
James is a huge hypocrite. He prides himself about doing the right thing and he does the opposite. And knowing about his past, I just want him out. Allison and Parker were all right. There were some things I liked about them and some I didn't. Natalie is another person who needs to see a shrink. If a guy doesn't like you after giving him a bj, it is time to move on girlfriend. She is this season's version of Amber. Very deluded. I can't believe that she figured out the Evel Dick thing by herself. I just can't. It wouldn't surprise me if the producers clued her in somehow. And why oh why did she vote James back in?? That will always puzzle me. James did not get along with Matt. She is in love with Matt. So you vote to bring back a guy who doesn't like your so called "soulmate"?! So dumb.
Sharon and Chelsia don't seem that bad. Chelsia has a smoking natural body (Yes I am talking to you Natalie). I haven't been reading up on all the stuff happening at the house. I truly hope she didn't have sex with James. I shudder at the thought. Now I just read the previous person's post about her, it probably is true. Yuck.
Adam is this season's version of Zach. He's a goofy guy who sometimes says inappropriate stuff. They both seem to enjoy flying under the radar in their respective seasons. Ryan seems like a likable guy. Not sure why he stated he has to make up for the game playing he has done. You have to lie some to win this game. It is the way of the game. If I was him, I would dump Jen in a heartbeat after seeing what she said about him in the game.
So the producers really went to the bottom of the barrel with this cast. So many loathsome characters. The previous season had much more likable people. I still will watch though. It will be interesting to see Evel Dick back in the house.
Julie Chen continues to amaze with her ineptitude. She can't even read from a cue card. She messed up 2 or 3 times last week. The biggest blunder was when she was setting up the Dick-Danielle video. Of course she messed up any supposed suspense of whether their relationship was still good.

Well I hope everyone had a good weekend, mine not so great. But on to Big Brother.
I absoutly loved the furr-iends segment. I couldn't stop laughing. When the guinea pigs said Sharon is crazy....I absoutly lost it. It was way to funny.
I gotta agree about Josh antics in the house. He is trying so hard to act like Evel Dick. But he can't hold a candle to ED. I want ED tell him off. I can't stand the way he talks about the girls(mainly Shelia and Natalie) bodies. Well his body isn't all that great either. Hopefully the next person on the block will put him up.
And the same goes for Chelsia, like K4lakers, I'll waite to post on her latest actions. Which are disgusting.
Natalie outsmarting Adam....what a surprise. I thought I would of never see that. But I'm glad he put James and Chelsia...even though it was Natalie's idea. Those 2 are very strong competitors and they need to take those 2 out asap. Putting up Shelia makes no sense. You need the numbers to vote out our strongest competitors.
Ever since he came back into the house, he has gotten on my nerves, with his hell bent on revenge for those who done him wrong. Does he realize that this is just a game? I guess not! Its not like anybody killed a member of your family. Don't take it personal James.
She is this season's version of Amber. speedy1863, I agree. But Amber grated on my everlasting nerves where if I was in that house, I would asked to be put up on the block so I can get far away from her. But Natalie she is irritating and stupid, but I think I can stand being around someone like her. She seems so loveable.
I am not voting in the new America's Choice vote. I wonder who thought up this bright idea. A lot of the fans are still upset about the last AC, that didn't even mattered.
~~~SPOILER ALERT~~~
Chelsia won some luxury prize (I'll post more about that later.) James won POV. Of course James used the POV, and Adam replaced James with Sharon. Plus on the CBS boards, they are saying that Sheila and Matt are related. Possibly mother and son. They are getting this from the live feeds. When I get the link, I'll post it.
~~~END OF SPOILER ALERT~~~

Loved the Guinea Pig segment last night! I had to rewind it and watch it again and again.
I don't think this is a spoiler but on BBAD last night Natalie was talking about how she spells done "dun" after Larry the Cable Guy's catch phrase "git ur dun".
For those of you avoiding the CBS vote, it is all questions for the HOH competition this week such as Which of the remaining contestants would you vote for president?, etc. I've seen the HOH competitions where they've done this in past seasons but this is the first time I've voted because I never caught the part about voting before.
Hope everyone had a great Easter and isn't suffering today from eating too much!

What about Natalie's epiphany about Dick possibly coming back? At first I thought her whole "8" theory was going to produce nothing- is this girl actually hiding a brain in there?
I don't know how I'm still watching this show. The only person I remotely like is Ryan.
Oh, and those of you talking about Chelsia- I would like to know what she did! Chances are CBS won't show it anyway the way they edit things. Can you post it as a spoiler? Thanks!

Yeh me too, I want to know what's bad about Chelsia - but please do put it as a SPOILER with lots of space after/before for those who don't want to read it.
Think there's going to be a lot of blood baths and with Evel coming into the mix it's got to get even bloodier. Enjoying the show. Like Ryan the most, but good guys usually don't finish first here.
Think having James back in the mix makes it an even more sinister game but let's wait till Tuesday to see what happens here. Anybody's game because he is a strong and vindictive player!!

K4Lakers & Lizzybelle - please post the Chelsia spoiler info - I think I know what you are referring to - but I have been gone for a few days and haven't had a chance to catch up on my BBAD and Joker's updates....I'm sure I won't be surprised! What a skank!

speedy ~ Great post ~ You should be posting more often! I have been thinking the same thing about Adam being this year's Zach. I think he fits in a little better than Zach did but pretty similar. Bottom of the Barrel is quite true! And such a dirty barrel too. Just when we thought they couldn't find anyone nastier than Dick! And about Julie ~ You know it wouldn't be half as fun if she didn't screw up so often.
Weird not really spoiler info ~
It seems that Sheila is somehow related to Matt. I saw a clip of her talking to JoshuaH ~ Or make that crying with JoshuaH ~ After Chelsia had been badmouthing Matt. He figured it out and said "You're his mother aren't you?" She did say no at one point but not very adamantly. Then they immediately called JoshuaH into the diary room. I guess a little later Sheila said she is not his mother but he is part of her family. Don't know if Josh told anyone else or if he was instructed not to tell anyone else.
Very interesting. ">

k4lakers- thanks for the links. All I can say is eewwwww. I knew I didn't like Chelsia- now I have many more reasons why. She seems to really think that she is making a name for herself. Pretty funny. She'll be forgotten 5 minutes after the season is over.......
Plus- how long could it possibly take to put a 12 piece puzzle together? Seems like she was trying for a good 15 minutes in those clips!
