Episode Recap: April 23, 2008 (Final Eviction)
So we're down to the final three and my first thought was how big of a disappointment Sharon turned out to be. I admit I was certain she would bust out and win a bunch of competitions when it counted, but she fell flat. Granted, she was a question off on a few HOH comps, but she never won a POV and was nominated 6 times. Was she holding back? At first I thought so, but now I'm not so sure. Then we learned that she lied about her back being the reason she dropped in the glass house endurance comp. Her game play has mystified me. It's almost as if she wanted to do nothing and just try to weasel her way off the block. Maybe she wouldn't have won the jury votes after all!
The first part of the HOH comp continued with Sheila admitting she's afraid of the water. Then Adam decided to start torturing her like he always does. In general I find her to be a weak player and a bit of a whiny cry baby, but sometimes I feel bad that Adam torments her. What's worse? She seems to think they are friends. Adam is just making it easier for me to root for Ryan. Yet, Sheila ended up dropping after about 40 minutes and that's when I stopped feeling bad for her. She really has won nothing and done nothing all season. Adam then dropped off and gave the first part of the HOH to Ryan. What an uneventful competition!
The second part of the HOH comp combined physical and mental. Adam and Sheila not only had to remember the order of every person who held HOH in the house, but they had to work a hamster wheel to get balls with the names of the house guests on it out of a maze and onto the podium in the correct order. Of course Sheila complained through it all and fell quite a few times, but she seemed to get the hang of it. Oddly, neither of them seemed to be rushing too much. Not that Adam needed to rush since he finished in less than half her time. That's just embarrassing.
Next the DJC, dressed in an outfit that looked like she was a Pink Lady in the final scene of Grease, talked to the final three and asked them how confident they were that the jury would vote for them on a scale of 1 to 10. Ryan and Sheila said 3 and 4, respectively, and Adam said he'd low ball it at a 5 because he has both of them beaten. I very much wanted to find this ridiculous, but he just may be right.
Jury house footage! Big surprise (not!), Matt still hates Gnat. More of a surprise, Gnat seems to be out from under her Matt spell. That may be the smartest thing she's done all season. I loved how they caught Adam and Ryan "making faces" at each other, basically exposing their agreement on Sharon's eviction. That will really hurt Ryan. I thought these tapes weren't supposed to show anything that would expose strategy, but maybe that was unavoidable.
The third part of this HOH competition should have been the battle to win a half million dollars. Whoever won should have had the smarts to take Sheila and secure a bigger chunk of the jury votes. Usually, the jury votes on vengeance and not game play, but the way I see it Adam would have it locked up either way. He hasn't really offended anyone too much and has actually won some important comps. Ryan may have had a bit of a harder time against Sheila, but I still think he would have won. However, Ryan evicted Sheila and sadly (due to the sound cutting out) we couldn't hear the obviously nasty remarks Adam had just after she walked out the door. Even though she didn't really deserve it, I felt bad for Sheila because she took it so hard. At the end of it all, she's just a mother who wanted to help her kid. I really believe that. In my opinion, Adam turned out to be quite a two-faced jerk. I do not like the way he lied about Sharon and the bathroom deal to Ryan (then called her every name in the book) and how he'd promise Sheila the world and then tear her to shreds to anyone who would listen. I know it's a game so I can overlook the lying, but his mouth has been viscious since that little comment that lost him his job earlier this season. That's not game play, it's just mean. So I either turn a blind eye and root for Adam or forget that somewhere Vile Jen is purchasing a new wardrobe and go with Ryan. We'll find out who wins on Sunday in the exciting finale! See you then! — Krista

Jen's Shopping List**
1. Louis Vutton luggage set for our inevitable trip to anywhere I want.
2. Dior dress
3. Entire shoe department at Nordstrom
4. new line of Mac makeup complete with make-over
5. Gucci sunglasses (real ones, not the fake ones I try to pass off as real)
6. plenty of Nike and/or Ohio State gear since Ryan should spend some of the dough too.
7. something nice for Parker since I ruined his chance at playing the game
8. condoms for our future 2 minute bathroom rendezvous.
9. anything in Banana Republic, J Crew, Abercrombie or Benetton
10. a "please forgive me card" for when Ryan sees I called him a racist.
**this not Jen's real shopping list. I'm just picking on her. I have no real proof she's spending his money already. Yet, you must admit, it's a good theory. xoxo Krista

i just want to know where were shelia's tears...she cried and cried but no tears. She needs to get over herself and being a single mom and thinking that should win her the money.
Why didn't they show when gnat entered the jury house. I was waiting to see the other hg reaction.

Ryan won the final HOH, in fact he dominated the game in the past couple of weeks. That has to look good to jury members inclined to vote on gameplay. Adam did well but came up just short. I don't think he cared either way about winning HOH since he felt safe. I am not surprised Sheila couldn't win her way into the final two, which is good in that I did not want to see her crying for the money to the jury. I feel for her but it a bit much to watch. To be totally honest, I think playing the game for someone else like your child is often a bad idea because the failure is magnified in one's mind.
I was afraid of having to try and read the jury to pick between Ryan and Adam winning the money. They are a solid team so it is really hard to guess how much credit one gets over the other in gameplay. They were both good in competitions and the other spects of the game. The vote should come down to the fewest negatives. Who damaged relationships more than who. They say there will be no campaigning for the jury but we all know better than that. The campaigning they will do will be tempered by the fact the both did some dirty work.
Sharon's admission to throwing the one challenge with the sore back story doesn't surprise me. I thought she was throwing competitions because her strategy was to lay low as long as possible. I guess if you spend so much time throwing them you can't shift gears to win them when needed. She did have one won until the Big Brother shenanigins stepped in.
Who will the jurors pick to win? Here are my guesses:
Matt - Does he vote for Adam because Adam played a more visible role in eliminating the rival team or Ryan who had a more visible role in eliminating team members? I think he will vote for Adam.
Chelsia - Might have nothing to go on except what is said in the jury. I think Adam gets the nod for not betraying members of Chelsia's alliance.
Joshuah - Again, Adam did the least amount of negatives to him and his alliance.
James - Probably sees Adam's play as weaker than Ryan's. Probably gives nod to Ryan.
Natalie - Mad at both guys for split vote. Her vote will depend on who voted for her in the split vote. I think she will pick Adam.
Sharon - The look on her face when she realized she was actually kicked out by her partner Ryan in a secret deal. Probably give vote to Adam.
Sheila - Ryan will get most of the blame for evicting her. Plus, she may think Adam will share some money with her. Adam did have her back when he had a choice. Probably gives Adam the vote.
So, I think Adam wins in a 6 - 1 vote. Could be 5 - 2 or 7 - 0 but I think Adam will win this final battle for the money. Ryan just has more negatives.
Also, what time is your special starting on Sunday?

I don't think Adam "threw" the final part of the HOH comp. He looked like he was really trying, and (like last year) they BOTH sucked. I think Adam will tell Ryan that he threw it, but he'll tell everyone else that he didn't.
I don't mind Adam's "lies" as they weren't that bad and helped get him to the end. Of everyone, he was the most "nice" to everyone else in the house. Yes, he said some nasty things, but in the end, I think he's a good guy. Ryan is a true 2 faced guy who deserves to be in the final 2 because he won so many comps, but I think Adam should (and will) win the big $$$.

I am also wondering where Sheila's tears are!! She cries, but without tears and that looks like she is trying to make Adam and other's feel badly for her. She did leave her child, but she backstabbed and lied her way through the game, without winning a darn thing and that is pathetic! I just hate that Adam is there at the end, he is just as ugly to others as Sheila! But I still have hope that the jury will see Ryan's game play as good and better than Adam's!

I am rooting for Adam as I really don't care for Ryan. I hope Sharon calls him out on their secret alliance and that Joshua does the same. Ryan is too smug and cocky for me. Maybe Adam might give Sheila some of his winnings. Also when Sheila walked out the door, Adam did say something but it wasn't heard. Does anyone know what he said? I thought he must have cursed and said some bad things about Sheila and they didn't want us to hear it. I can't wait to see what type of questions the Jury asks and how these two will answer them. Also, how come they didn't show Natalie entering the Jury house? It would have been nice to see the other people's reaction when they saw it was her that had gotten voted out. Can't wait to see Natalie's reaction when she sees Sheila coming into the Jury's house.

I was disappointed that Adam didn't win HOH because I was SO curious if he'd keep Sheila or Ryan. Darn, I wanted to see that, but now we'll never know.
Oh, I definitely think Adam will win this. I was rooting for Ryan all along, but I find I can't get over the Jen thing. She was gaggy from the get-go, and what with Krista's hilarious shopping list, it's only made clearer that the jury probably feels the same way. Certainly, I was disappointed with Adam along the way, with things he said and did, but all in all, I think I like him better than Ryan.

This show was a bit anti-climactic being that I already knew the winner of the first and second part of the HOH comp from BBAD et al. Part one, Adam threw, keeping his word to Ryan. Part two he won easily (as if there was any doubt he would win). Part 3 was pre-determined by both of them that Adam would throw it since he did not want to be the one to evict Sheila. Since Adam got blood on his hands for Sharon’s eviction, Ryan said he’d do the same thing by evicting Sheila. Had Adam won by accident, I still think he would have chosen Ryan, but he definitely did not want to make that choice.
I’m not sure why Sheila was so heartbroken after being evicted when Ryan told her point-blank last night that if he won, he was taking Adam. I think to the very end her sense of entitlement gave her a ray of hope. I found it uncomfortable watching her after the eviction and while talking with Julie. Seeing her sobbing hysterically like that was hard to watch. More disturbing is her delusion that she felt she deserved to be in the finals and even to win. I LOVED whe Adam pointed out how Sheila "buttered up all of the jury members before they left". I was wondering if anyone else was noticing what she was up to! All I could think of is that she should be grateful for making it as far as she did. What a complete opposite way to leave the game compared to Sharon who practically skipped out when she was evicted. I have to give props to my girl JC! Julie was really sweet and comforting while talking to Sheila. She seemed genuinely concerned for her.
I was really disappointed that we didn’t get to see footage of Natalie arriving at the jury house. That’s the best part! Good for Natalie for finally seeing what a jerk Matt is. And Sharon confirmed what many of us suspected all along, that she’s thrown challenges. They better show us Sheila’s arrival at the JH … I can’t wait to see Natalie’s reaction.
So my prediction is Adam winning by a vote of 5-2 (with votes from Matt, Chelsia, James, Natalie and Sheila) at the very least. I wouldn’t be surprised if it goes 6-1 or 7-0.

Loved, Loved the faux shopping list Krista. You just know that the wheels in Jens head is already spinning on how she can spend up Ryans winnings. Shoot the girl can even take me shopping. Even though I don't like the girl, I can definitely do my share of clearing out the shoe, jewerly, cosmetic counter and handbag department at Nordstrms.
Anyway, I think that Adam is going to win it in the end. I think the Jen thing and the secret alliances will bite him in the butt. And Sharon and Josh will spill the beans about it. I will be very surprised if they didn't mention it.
Now onto the wacky world of Sheila. Did anyone believe Sheila's explanation of the way Adam and Sheila fought was for show only? Not me. I knew Sheila's time would be long. Because of how many times she fell. If that was me I would of thrown up. I also bet that she thinks that Adam will give some of his winnings to her.
I was shocked that Sharon lied about her back. I thought she was telling the truth.
Yeah why didn't they show us Nat entering the house? Thats what I wanted to see. This season of the sequester footage is terrible. First they didn't show Chelsia's DVD of the week she left. I wanted to see Matts face when she went crazy. Then they didn't show Nat entering the house. But Im so glad that Nat isn't so love crazy for him anymore. I think it would be so much better when if we get to see sequster when there is only 2 people in the house. BBAD is so boring with the final 2.

So you've been on the chopping block for several weeks in a row. There are only four people competing for HOH. Do you go all out and try to pull off a victory? Well if you're Sharon you apparently throw the competition and drop out first. How stupid is that? She knew she was already a pawnish target, so winning wouldn't have hurt her standing either way. For all her talk about loyalty and being truthful, she has really showed her true deceptive side. I wonder how her military family feels about that.
Sheila is delusional if she thinks that she deserved to be in the finals. Just because you're the oldest woman to make it that far means nothing. She has doublecrossed people and talked nothing but smack since day one. We're supposed to feel sorry for her because she's pre-menopausal....and a single mother....and in need of the money....and whatever other nonsense she spouts. Eddie won season one and he had one leg, so Sheila's talk about how hard the game is doesn't do anything for me. Besides she claims she only did the show to promote her upcoming book, and she has enough face time to do that.
I don't really know who I prefer to win. Adam and Ryan were both targets from the beginning. Ryan might've had it worse because of his slaggy girlfriend and being partnered with Allison. But Adam was never voted out like Ryan was, so maybe that will factor in with the votes. Ryan's secret alliances with Joshuah and Sharon will probably hurt him in the end. The Witches of Eastwick will vote for Adam. El Topo might vote for Adam because Ryan backdoored her, even though it was Adam's idea. Lactating Bikini Barbie might vote for Ryan because of that comment Adam made about her faith. Matt will vote for Baller (but his eyes will be looking at Ryan). Cougarella hates Ryan so she will vote for Adam as well. The Q&A segment of the finale is going to be vicious this year. I can't wait!

Sheila with her crying, whining, begging just made her unbearable to watch! She is pathetic and has no dignity!!!!!! She's not the only single mom out there! Besides, you'd think after years as a Penthouse playmate she would have saved some of that money from hooking and stripping. May have spent it all on drugs or alcohol. I'm happy the BOYS are in the final 2. Kudos to Ryan for evicting Sheila and taking Adam to the final two. I don't have a problem w/ either winning. My bet is on Adam though.

I agree that Adam will probably be the winner by a landslide. Had Chelsea not caught the look between Adam and Ryan after Sharon's eviction, it could have been close.
I don't think I agree that Natalie is over Matt. She seemed awfully hurt that he still leaves a room every time she enters it. I would have liked to see her arrival at the Jury House but I'm glad we are seeing more Jury footage than we did last year. If I remember correctly, they did one quick segment last year showing everyone's entry into the jury house. This year we've gotten footage about every two weeks. I wish they would show the jury house now on BBAD so there would be a reason to watch it. Adam and Ryan have to be the most boring people in reality tv and I don't care to watch them 3 hours a day.
I wanted to slap Sharon last night when she was whining about being disappointed because she wanted to make a difference for her son. I believe the stipend for being on the show is $900 a week. That's $900 a week she wasn't making before she got in the house. Add the money she saved not going to Starbuck's every morning after taking her son to school and you get more money that some people make in a year.

Wow ~ I have to say to Krista ~ I can't believe you felt bad for Sheila. She makes me sick and I was SO happy to see her go and not have the shot at any of the money. SHE thinks she is a good actress and maybe she is not as bad of an actress as I think because she sure fooled you.
AM I THE ONLY ONE THAT THOUGHT SHEILA WAS PULLING A DENISE (from Survivor)? Lucky for us that Les Moonves is not as generous as Mark Burnett!! Sob story my ass. So what if she is a single mother. There are millions of them that work their asses off every day. She was absolutely pathetic. Oh I can't do this challenge because I almost drowned in Hawaii. (Pronounced drownDED) Oh poor baby ~ Like that has anything to do with it you idiot ~ You're not in the ocean you fool ~ Yeah there was a chance she could have drowned in the BB back yard with cameras and however many people watching. I repeat ~ What an idiot. Sorry for the rant but I think I dislike Sheila even more than last years Jen in the beginning.
Oh blah blah blah I'm doing this for my son. SURE you are. And if Penthouse offers her some money to do another "spread" she would do it in a second. Not caring one bit if that might be embarrasing for her son.
And I hate the way she looks in the camera when she is trying to act.
I think Adam had every right to be mean to her since she was horrible to him from the start. I couldn't stand her from day one ~ Can you tell?
Anyone else worried that if Adam wins he will go buy a bunch of coke and get arrested? ">

Adam will win 7-0. You watch and see how Sheila stirs this pot. She'll even have Josh convinced to vote for Adam.
At least both of these remaining two actually played the game. Sheila did NOTHING. Her HOH was given to her (biggest mistake Natalie ever made) and she bitched about not being given prizes in competitions she played horribly in (Ryan's 10grand which he did - in fact - win the competition.)
Ryan won by being the least dishonest of all competitors and also one of the most sincerely decent people to ever play this game. His dummest move was not taking Sheila. If he had the guts to get rid of Adam he would have won. He made a stupid move taking Marty Feldman. NICE GUYS FINISH LAST RYAN AND AS SECOND PLACE IS LAST PLACE, YOU WILL FINISH LAST.
