Episode Recap: April 16, 2008 (Eviction 10)
Some of the variables might've changed, but in the end, Natalie was still sent packing and was (somehow) reasonably shocked that she was evicted. Though she had a couple of inspired weeks in the house following Matt's eviction, her divine mission has come to an end. Look out Mattie, she's coming for you!
As I had feared, Adam and Ryan let their power run wild, and held a house meeting in which they called out Natalie for playing both sides. Although I liked seeing Natalie squirm, I would have been even happier to see her be completely blindsided by her eviction. This way she had a chance to explain herself, and the boys gave her a clue that perhaps she wasn't safe in the house. However, it also gave Sheila an easy way to explain her rationale for evicting Natlie.
That's right, in perhaps the smartest move of the season (or at least the week), the boys split the vote and put the responsibility back on Sheila. She had hoped the boys would do her dirty work, and while they were willing to go along with the plan to evict Natalie, they were wise enough to know that splitting the vote might keep Natalie from exacting revenge by voting against them should either of them make the final two. Plus, if Sheila wanted Natalie out so badly, she should have to stand behind her moves. I was very proud of the boys. I guess we will see if Sheila actually makes Adam's life "a living hell" as she promised she would if the vote was split.
Julie had some decent questions tonight, and in classic form, Sharon answered one of the questions in a way that perfectly explained her strategy: "I just sit back and let them say what they had to say." Additionally, I believe only Adam would actually pick a deserving player over an easier player to beat in the finals. I think everyone else just jumped on the band wagon.
Even out of the house, James continued to add a little flavor to the show, this time in the jury house. Even though I don't believe he was trying to be malicious, he told the truth about Chelsia's exit speech damaging his game, bringing her to tears. She needed someone to point out how immature and classless her actions were, and at least with the news coming from James, she probably took it to heart.
The HOH competition was intense and kept me on the edge of my seat. Sharon, after surviving her fifth straight week on the block (and still a dangerous player to have hanging around) was in the driver's seat for the entire competition, which had the houseguests whether statements Julie read were fact or fiction. Somehow, Ryan clawed his way back to within one point (Adam never really had a shot) with one final question remaining. Though the final question was a bit of a trick (that the guinea pigs were a previously existing couple still in the house) Ryan was smart (or lucky) to go against the obvious answer — which was the only way to tie Sharon since she went with fiction — and he ended up tying her. He made the closer guess in the tiebreaker to become the new HOH. Yes, Sharon was probably robbed by a tricky question, but I am very happy to see Ryan walk away with a victory.
So, Sharon and Sheila will most likely be finding a seat on the block this week. Both Sharon and Sheila will have to step up this week in order to ensure their safety, but unless Sharon wins the POV, I predict a Sheila, Adam and Ryan final three.
Who do you see making it through this week? Are you happy with Natalie's eviction? What do you think will happen when Matt and Nat are reunited in the jury house? Show some comment love and check back Sunday for the latest! — Adam

It's not just you. Maybe the writers' strike opened her schedule so she could watch her own show, thus making her think of better questions to ask? Let's see what the summer version brings...
I don't know if the boys planned it ahead of time to split the vote--but I am wondering if it's going to matter to gNat which one voted for her to leave. The goodbye videos she was shown were edited in such a way that it seemed like Ryan voted for her to stay and Adam voted for her to leave--though that's not what happened, right? I admit to being distracted at that moment.
I don't know that it was purposeful but that's how I would have interpreted those videos if I were her. Adam was saying "sorry" and things like that suggesting he was going to vote her out. And Ryan said something that seemed like he wasn't going to vote her out...
Maybe she's just angry at both of them and it doesn't matter. But I just wonder...
I also would have liked to see gNat totally blindsided. That house meeting was pretty ridiculous--though it did give Sheila a way to get gNat out without exactly losing favor. If you admit to an alliance with two players, and there are only 5 players left...you have to get rid of that 3rd alliance member. gNat could surely see that (not that she was happy about it, I'm sure).
And, well, at least we got a bit more sequester house footage than usual.

Cruciatus ~ I left you a message on the previous blog, but in case you didn't go there tonight, I just have to give you credit!
Everything you talked about on the earlier blog was so blatantly obvious in tonight's show!!! I had to laugh about how right you were and wanted to tell you!!
That being said, all I can say is Hallelujah times 10!! I'm so glad to see gNat gone. OMG, I wasn't sure until Ryan voted that she would indeed be voted out of there. Whew...now I almost feel sorry for Matt! Hard to feel sorry for him, though. In my book, he's no better than she is.

WOW! by far, this was one of the best episodes of the season. RYAN+ADAM=STUPIDITY! ok, here's why: calling a "house meeting" was a ridiculous idea. that just gave natalie a chance to lie some more and throw sharon under the bus...no one believes you, natalie. they both let the "power" of being able to evict someone get to their heads. just remember, boys...big brother changes just like the weather. just wait until you don't have the power and give someone else a chance to screw you, which obviously won't happen this week since ryan won HOH...back to that in a minute. I thought it was absolutely ridiculous for ryan and adam to tie the vote and let sheila decide. because sheila didn't come off looking like the ass...ryan and adam did, and I don't know that either of them will get natalie's vote in the final 2...we'll just have to see. the only people who are at fault for natalie's eviction(besides natalie herself) are adam and ryan b/c they had the power to keep her, but instead they took the coward's way out and let someone else make the decision. sheila was right in evicting natalie, which she explained to natalie...ok, natalie, you've said how many times that your loyalty lies w/ ryan and adam? and look what they did to you! looks like you should've been loyal to someone else. sheila made the only rational decision that there was to be made for her gameplay, and I think even natalie will understand that.
ok, back to the HOH...damn!!!!! I was sooo hoping that sharon would win, but it just might work out to her advantage. Because at this point, it seems to be adam and ryan vs. sheila and sharon, but things do change on the hour in that house. and I think that last question was TOTALLY misleading and they shouldn't do crap like that anymore...just my opinion, and it would still be my opinion had sharon come out on top. We all know that ryan will put up sheila and sharon, so whoever wins POV is the big winner this week, which is becoming more powerful than the actual HOH itself. if either sheila or sharon wins POV and takes themselves off, ryan has to put up adam by default, leaving either sharon or sheila the power to evict. I know that sheila has been saying that she's loyal to the end w/ adam in this game, but in light of recent developments, I think all bets should be off. pretty much, he threw her under the bus by making her get her hands dirty by evicting natalie, which I think will ultimately backfire. sheila should know that both ryan and adam will stay loyal to each other throughout this game, so she and sharon need to work together now to go to the end...and that's something I'd be happy to see. In any case and however they did it...NATALIE'S GONE! and thank the Lord for that! add a point to sheila's gameplay...that's something she accomplished that no one else did...she got one of the biggest potential threats out of the game and I think that'll look good to the jury. I've never written this much on a BB blog before...there's just so much to cover this time...I'm interested to hear everyone else's thoughts.

Shoot, Natalie is gone. My hat is off to that chick for a great game. Love her or hate her, she did accomplish some things we never imagined her doing in this game. She did the right thing when confronted in siding with the guys. About time someone actually made a choice in that situation. It cost her when the vote was tied though. Her only chance to stay in the game was the guys actually being able to make the same choice. The guys will pay for their indecisive split.
Let me explain, Ryan won the HOH and seems to be in power. The problem will be that he chooses the two women. When one of them comes off the block (likely Sharon) the other guy goes on the block. Guess who casts the eviction vote? The girl. So much for the boy's alliance. Any other choice would have sealed their fate too except the remote possibilities that came with keeping Natalie. Calling out Natalie exposed their game. Even Sheila did not miss that chest-thumping mistake.
I see Sharon winning the veto, pulling herself off, and evicting Adam (the only other choice for Ryan) Then Ryan and Sheila have to beat Sharon in next HOH. Good luck with that. It doesn't matter much to Sharon after that because she beats both in the final two. If Natalie was still around the scenario would not change. I will have to think more about who gets the money if things go different.
Sharon was absolutely robbed in the HOH. The rodents are not a couple in the context of the game played by humans. That was a trick question and it stinks of a rigged game. Sharon should be coasting to a victory instead of being on the block. Big Brother should be ashamed of themselves.
I like the jury house. Especially when it exposes the morons. James, you have been exposed. He blamed Chelsia for his ouster because of her actions. I got news for James, you were evicted, almost unanimously, before Chelsia uttered a word. You were evicted for being a piece of dung of a human being (And a strong competitor, I guess). Get with reality. Get on your bike and pedal across the Pacific you loser!
I think when Matt and Natalie are reunited Matt will continue to jog alone while trying to outrun Natalie.
Power Rankings:
1. Sharon - She has the votes in the jury house. The game is her's to win. It would take a near miracle for anyone to stop her now. 3. Sheila - If one of the women gets off the chopping block they both do. When it comes to final three the women will kick out Ryan if they can. 3. Ryan - May have cost Adam and himself a shot at the money. If Adam leaves Ryan follows. 4. Adam - The game will outsmart him. Either woman will evict him if given the chance.

Well, it appears that in the epic battle of Mole vs. Ferret, the Mole emerged victorious. Now to the next grudge match of A-bot vs. She-bot!
Even though I kept up with the spoiler sites and BBAD, I wasn't sure what the plan was. The boys kept throwing out all these scenarios, and it was hard to tell what they were really up to. I would also like to know why their votes didn't match up with their goodbye messages. And Ryan's talk about playing all sides was hilarious considering he's practically an octagon.
I still think it was a bad move to keep Guacamole. Not only does Sharon have the Cerberus vote, but she just might snag Nat and Matt too. It will be interesting to see what Sheila does. As Ryan said "You can't trust a stripper, and you can't trust a Penthouse Pet."
That HOH competition was rigged. Normal people wouldn't use terms like "couple" and "relationship" to refer to animals. How could the houseguests know that the guinea pigs were together before they arrived at the house? Also there was an extra long delay before Julie revealed the correct answer. Almost as if the producers were feeding her the answer based on where Ryan stepped.
Sharon goes on and on about how tough she is and she still couldn't pull off a win. Sheila, Ryan and Nat were all in the houses for at least two hours each, so why would she guess 184 minutes?
Loved seeing Chelsia getting scolded by James. I look forward to their next collaboration in a series of commercials for Valtrex.

Hey joe-cool quick question. You say you see Sharon winning the veto, is this because she has won so many individual competitions already? Are you clairvoyant? While certainly possible do you really believe Sharon and Sheila have a better chance at winning the veto competition than Ryan and Adam? Have I been watching a different version of Big Brother than you? And if Sheila were to win the veto competition are you certain that she would vote out Adam over Sharon? Saying that the game is Sharon's to win and it would take a near miracle for anyone to stop her now is insane. I do agree with your view that James' blaming Chelsia for his eviction was laughable. He had been the target (and actually already evicted once) for a long, long time.

I know I'll be in the minority this week, but I was sad to see Natalie go. Whatever "the boys" thought or had doubts about, she would have remained loyal to them until the Final 3. I think it was a bad decision to keep Sharon around and very risky. Keeping Natalie would have ensured that whoever won HOH, Sheila would have gone home next week (odds are that she wouldn't have won POV as she pretty much sucks at every comp) and put them in the Final 3. Sharon is a much stronger player than they give her credit for. She nearly won HOH tonight and I have a strong suspicion that she threw the last HOH. As much as I wanted Ryan or Adam to win HOH, it would have been karma if Sharon won and one of them ended up being evicted.
As far as the tie, up until last night, Adam and Ryan went back and forth and it looked like they were going to keep Natalie. They showed a horribly edited clip of the argument in the HOH, chopping out a lot of parts in between. The reason why Adam got so mad and called Sheila a b*tch is because first of all, she was screaming at them and threatening them and then secondly, she was being typical Sheila and it was all "me, me, me, my feelings this, my our game will be in jeopardy...". She was also upset because she felt that both Natalie and Adam were mean to her when she did so horribly in the past POVs. Adam "boiled over" at Sheila being incredibly selfish and only thinking about her own game. He also felt like it's not his problem that her feelings were hurt. In fact, one of the main reasons why Sheila turned against Natalie is that on the clip they played of her getting "floured" by James, she saw that Natalie laughed and she said no one else did. Give me a break! All of the boys were cracking up. If anything, Natalie was the one who said that they were not allowed to do that to anybody. Because of that, Sheila decided that Natalie was never there for her and was never a friend to her. Get over yourself Sheila! It's not anyone's responsibility to make YOU feel better, which is what Adam was trying to say when he exploded.
In the end, R & A decided to split the vote because they didn't want to do Sheila's dirty work. They figured that if she wanted her out, she could get the blood on her own hands.
As far as the tie breaker, Sheila got an easy out by Natalie admitting that she was loyal to R/A, but the truth is that she just turned on her (like she did with every other "friend" she had in the house) and was going to do it anyway. I have to hand it to her, she is a pretty good actress... those fake tears in her goodbye message were pretty convincing. I'm sure Natalie didn't fall for it. R/A already told her that she was Sheila's target, not Sharon. That's why she looked horrified at the tied vote. She knew she was toast.
The best part of the show was the jury house footage. First when James was talking about classy exits and Chelsia's face just fell. I was still laughing mao when he made her cry. Is it wrong of me to love every minute of her crying and running off like the little immature brat she is? I wonder how she'll react when Natalie walks in the sequester house door? We'll see if indeed she learned anything from what James told her or not.
Ryan's in the drivers seat this week as HOH. Adam or Ryan need to win the POV to ensure their bromance continues on to the final 3. Thank God, I don't have to watch another week of that wretched Sheila on her freaking power trip as "HOH". She was an absolutely two-faced lying vindictive witch. She even had the nerve to say that she was never part of the Team Christ alliance. Riiiiiight, Sheila. You keep telling yourself that if it makes you feel better for turning on one of the people who drug you to the Final 5 and who also GAVE you HOH. I would LOVE to see her go home this week, but most likely it will be Sharon. I don't care what any of them say, they want to be sitting by the person they think they can beat, not the most deserving.
The guinea pig question was totally unfair, but the best part about it is that they will be extra paranoid wondering who the "other couple is".

I'm also sad to see Nat go. I wanted her to stick around to be final 3 just to piss off Chels, James, and Josh(I know I said that like 3 times but that's how I feel). She added some spunk into the house. If she really wanted to stay she could of said that her loyalties also laid with Sheila. Then maybe she could of stayed in the house.
I also agree about the HOH comp being rigged. But when hasn't this game been rigged? Its not the first time. I think Adam was purposely losing this HOH comp. I remember in the past he has said that he didn't want to be HOH.
Is it just me or is Julie really showing more interest and asking better question since the emmy's announced best reality host. bicnlin Yeah right like she would ever be nominated. Yeah her questions are getting better, thanks to who ever, but in the past she has flubbed in her questions. I would really like to see how she handles the summer edition. But I still want a new host for this show. I say Janey.
I agree joe-cool about James blaming Chelsia. They wanted him out waaayy (again) before Chels. Her eviction speech had nothing to do with him leaving. But it was funny to see Chelsia cry. I rewind that twice just to get my laugh on.

It always boggles my mind to read the vitriolic posts here, with nothing but pure, raw hatred toward anyone in the house, for whatever reason. Hitler isn't playing Big Brother folks. None of these people deserve that much hate. Some are more annoying than others, some are complete morons, but damn, some of you posters act like the spawn of Satan is playing the game.
That's twice Sharon choked away the lead in a "mental" HOH challenge. That final question was silly, but legit...however, Ryan got it right with dumb luck, although there is some good strategy behind his choice, if he was smart enough to realize that his ONLY chance to tie the score with Sharon was to figure out what she was likely to answer, pick the opposite answer, and just hope he got it right. Still, Sharon could have done some better math and calculated a better guess on the tiebreaker question. If Sharon gets evicted this week, it will solely be due to her inability to win competitions in crunch time. That first time way back when she and Joshuah nailed their HOH competition by doing a cram session on the love quotes was obviously an anomaly...she's not dumb (her close second place to Adam in the video puzzle POV competition shows she's got a nimble mind), but she always seems to come up short.
I think Big Brother needs to stop relying so much on competitions that can be won by coin toss and go back to multiple choice and more complex games.

I had hoped that Sharon would win HOH. She is the only one left to not win HOH solo. Also, she would have put up Sheila and Adam (excuse being that they are the last "couple') and unless Sheila won POV (Ha, like she can win anything on her own) then she'd be the next one voted out.
As much as I don't like gNat and am glad that she's gone, it was a dumb move. ANY of the 4 other HGs would have beaten her in the F2...even Sheila. Also, Ryan, Adam and especially Sheila may have just lost her vote. The goodbye messages made it seem that Ryan voted against Sharon, and Adam voted against gNat, when it was the opposite way. That sucks because it could cause her to vote for the wrong person at the end.
While I think it was a nice way of James laying the smack down on Chelsia, the reason the HGs wanted him out wasn't Chel's good bye message, it was because he broke his word, he wasn't on their "side," and he was a strong competitor.
Sharon has already set a record by being nominated 5 weeks in a row, and now it will be # 6. I wonder if Julie will mention it as a record the next time she talks to the HGs.
The question about the Guinea Pigs was ridiculous. Did anyone notice the loooong pause before Julie gave the answer? I wonder if she read it, and asked off mic for clarification. Some have said that BB changed the answer so that Sharon wouldn't win. Whatever, it was lame regardless.
So now Ryan will nominate both gals and it will come down to POV to decide who leaves and who votes. I think Sharon will have to win POV because I don't think Adam would vote out Sheila over her. This is why I wished that Sharon would have won, because I want the She-bot to get the boot.

I thought last nights show was priceless. I give it a 10. Even after watching BBAD, I still wasnt sure what was going to happen. I loved the way, Nat buried herself, I loved the look on her face practically begging sheila to pick her. It was time for Sheila to man up. She is a trouble maker in her own right. I absolutely, without a doubt, loved the sequester house, when the stupid Chelsia was brought down to her own low and cried. LOVED IT!!!!! I am looking forward to Natalies arrival next week.. tee hee. GREAT GREAT EPISODE, NEXT WEEK IS GOING TO BE AWESOME.

At least I know how the Finale will be the 27th, the next eviction is going to be on the 22nd. My guess is they are going to do the NOM and POV on Sunday, then the Eviction and Final HOH part 1 on Tuesday. On Wednesday, they will show HOH parts 2 & 3 and final eviction.

I don't see how anyone can say Sharon choked in the comp. There is no question in my mind that the producers didn't want her to win. That long delay after the question that she actually got right ~ proves to me that they just out and out gave that question to Ryan. WTF ~ Guinea pigs are a couple? I wonder if they know that. Sharon got screwed on a question about her furriends. I guess the producers and camera people are sick of Sharon screaming to them so they turned the game against her with them. And the tiebreaker question couldn't have been any more tailor made for Ryan. Sharon was the first one out in that comp ~ So you knew she wasn't going to get it right. Actually I am surprised after these last few seasons and the OBVIOUS rigging of the game ~ Who would apply to be on the show??
I guess I might be rooting for Sharon now since the producers don't want her to win.
I do think Adam was throwing that comp ~ But I don't really know why. As previous comments have stated ~ a woman will be the only one voting if one of them wins POV. There is one more POV comp right?
I can't believe what James did to Chelsia. I really really don't like her but that was very low and untrue. I wonder if he did that because he did actually fall for her and was afraid she might not have felt the same ~ So he made her feel really bad and guilty ~ So he could go in and say he didn't care about that ~ He only cared about her. NOT. If he cared about her he would not have done that. Oh well she sure got over it fast. However I think James ought to be careful because Chelsia seems like someone you would not want to piss off. She seems very vindictive to me ~ like the kind of girl that would destroy property or something...But I guess all he has is a bike anyway so...
