« Big Brother 9
Episode Recap: April 9, 2008 (Eviction 9)
At last, the four-week saga that's dominated the game since James' original eviction came to a close with James exiting the house for the second time this season by unanimous vote. I have to give him credit for playing one heck of a game (with a little help from the producers, of course). Regardless, he managed to find a way to survive three weeks with the target squarely on his back, which is no easy feat. In a way, I think the game will be less interesting with him gone, but at least some of the other players will have to take a more active role.
James didn't go down without a fight, though. It was funny to see him aggravating Natalie, mainly because I've really grown tired of her. He really got under her skin with the comments that made it to air (and according to some commenters of the blog, there was plenty more that CBS chose to leave out. Let's just say we would have been begging for James' tighty whiteys!) Also funny was how well he knew what she would be saying about him inside the house. More impressive than his attacks and efforts to turn the houseguests against Natalie was his convincing argument/proposition to Ryan once again to flip on his alliance and take a guys vs. girls approach. Obviously, Ryan again failed to take the bait, to his credit I believe. Again, keeping James might have mixed things up, but it was simply too much of a risk. And honestly, James said he's wanted out of the house since he came back in. Wishes can come true!
Perhaps the best thing to come out of James antics is the fact that everyone on "Team Christ" sees how Natalie is playing the game. Unfortunately, she has proven in the past to be quite a force in endurance competitions, making her a good candidate to win HOH. Even so, everyone on TC better have their eyes open for Natalie in the coming weeks. It was also interesting to see that Sheila is apparently still playing with Adam's interest. Not sure if that is just her gameplay, or if she is actually looking to take him deep with her. Even if it is her plan, she's got to start winning, because the single-mother sympathy probably wouldn't earn her enough votes from the jury house to defeat Adam.
I've made it clear on this blog that I am pulling for Ryan, but I am concerned that James said he "hates what he and Natalie stand for." I know Ryan has done his share of playing both sides, but I wonder if there are some more bold-face lies he's told that perhaps haven’t been included on the show. From where I'm sitting, everyone in the house has been shady at some point, but Ryan seems to be pretty loyal (even to his secret alliances, at least until it's beyond his control.) It's obvious James and Ryan have had beef, but I would like to know if there is a dirty side of Ryan that perhaps we really haven't seen.
The segment on Sharon's family was OK, I guess. It was shocking to learn about her car accident, and her dad has an impressive number of medals from his service in the Marines, but there wasn't anything here that blew me away. (On a similar, but mostly unrelated note, does it drive anybody else crazy how Sharon yells at the camera when she is in the diary room? It's a good thing that room is sound proofed! I keep my finger near the volume switch every time she comes on screen.
Finally, we get to some footage from the jury house. Odd as it is to say, I've missed Matt, and he cracked me up with a few of his comments. (Mostly his remarks about Joshuah and his hopes that Natalie wins so she will buy him something nice). I'm sure he's had a rough week with Joshuah and Chelsia, and it doesn't look to get any better when James arrives. At least he can take comfort that his allies are basically dominating the game.
So for the second time this year, we ended the show not knowing who will be the new HOH. As I said, the endurance favors Natalie and Sharon in my mind, though Sharon was complaining of back problems as the show went off the air. Ryan probably will stay in longer than normal out of desperation to win, but that sweat is eventually going to take its toll on him. Maybe Sheila will step it up, who knows?
I'm sure many of you are watching the feeds to find out the latest, but if not, who are you hoping will win? Who would you like to see nominated? Share your thoughts in the comments and check back Sunday! — Adam

It's official.
Natalie has now replaced Amber as my most-hated BB contestant of all time. Her self-righteous "Christian" attitude, backed with lying, dirty-dealing, cursing like a sailor, sexually promiscuous behavior and generally being a skank have made me froth at the mouth over and over.
I cannot WAIT for her to get her due, and to get a slap in the face of reality of how low of a human being she has portrayed herself on national TV.
Sadly, I am afraid she is just too simple-minded to even know just how stupid she looks. She's probably so self-absorbed and delusional that she'll watch the show and think she was the star.
Please Jesus, step in an end her 15 minutes of fame, since apparently all you have time for these days is controlling the game of Big Brother.

We're doing two blogs tonight, eh? Not sure if people will be responding in the first one or this one. Oh well.
And I've decided to call Natalie gNat. She is as annoying as one. I'm not terribly clever, as you can see. But, well, I enjoy typing out gNat more than Natalie or just "Nat."
I don't watch the live feeds--but my own interpretation of James being against everything Ryan and gNat stand for is because of Team Christ. It appears that, for sure, gNat is the president of the TC club, but Ryan definitely appears to be the VP. I was a bit surprised tonight when HE brought it up--but he used the initials TC so I can only hope that he's just seeing it as just a name and not actually putting the religious aspect into it (can anyone confirm or deny?)
I thought the answers to Julie's questions about religion in the game were a whole lot of nothing. And I don't think it's the answering JC was looking for either since she tried to rephrase it.
I'm dying to know who will win HOH. So, spoilers please. I just can't wait for Sunday. I just hope it's not gNat. I know I say it every time but, well, it's still true. Uh, yeah, pretty much anyone but her can win.
And I hope that Adam trusts what Sheila told him about gNat putting him up on the block. I couldn't believe the nerve of Natalie telling Adam her own plan--but saying it was Sharon's. If gNat is not HOH then this week should be a shake up within the house. Should be being the key phrase. So often these last few weeks can be a drag...and the summer session is just around the corner. Gack!
Also--was gNat's hair different? Maybe it was the lack of pigtails and headband/scarf. Something about it just looked strange and I couldn't pinpoint why, exactly.

Im so glad that James is gone. Question did he bring more than 1 pair of pants to the house. Or is that all he owns? If you ask me they look more like sweat pants.
Im not suprised by Nat's deception. Thats part of the game. But I also hope that Adam wakes up to her deception. And I also hope Nat makes it to the final 3 just to piss of James, Josh and Chelsia(I will get to them later)...if Nat makes to the final 3 I would laugh my head off. But I don't want her to win though.
What was Julie wearing?
I also thought that Sharon's family segment was ok. Its amazing that she survived a car accident like that. And those medals on her father wow! Did anyone else notice her father kissing Sharon mothers hand after the blessing. I liked that.
Its about freaking time that they showed us sequester house. That house is beautiful. Why didn't they show Matt Chelsia's last week in the house. I wanted to see the look on his face when Chels went craaazzzzyyyyyy. I know he would of loved seeing her go crazy. I bet right now Matt is laughing so hard when James walked into the house. He is going to love that. I still hate Josh.
Does anyone else think they are going to have a double eviction week coming up soon? I don't know when the finale is ..but i think one should be coming up soon.
****SPOILER ALERT TIME*****
Sheila won HOH. Actually it was given to her. Sharon fell off first after she complained about her back. Then it was Ryan and Nat were up there and they decided to let Sheila have it so she can put Adam and Sharon.
********END OF SPOILER ALERT*****

Thanks, lizzybelle. I don't read spoilers much, but I couldn't wait to know this one.
I love how you do your spoilers, so thanks for that too.
I was happier than heck to see James go tonight. And I wish Natalie would go next. Cannot stand her. Granted, she is playing the game well, but it's going to get her, I think.....I hope!

Good riddance James. Now you can finally have that liason with Joshuah and Chelsia.
I always find it hilarious when Josh makes degrading comments about someone's looks. Especially since he spent most of his time dancing around without a shirt jiggling his "moobs" and beer belly, or prancing around in clothes that were a size too small. They should just have a picture of the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man on the memory wall in place of Josh's current one.
The comment James made about hating everything Ryan and Natalie stand for has nothing to do with TC. He was referring to their desire to win the money. Like I said last week, James was targeting everyone in the game who wanted to win the prize. The former porn star thinks that those two are materialistic, and that bicycling around the world on $100 makes him a better person. Whatever James. Maybe now you can bump your amount up to $200 and actually see the World and not just the United States.
Sharon should be the new host of The Mole, because she has lived that title from day one. Common sense would tell you that being loyal to everyone makes you a liar Sharon. Common sense should also tell you that eyebrows are back in this season.

FYI, eyebrow pencils are NOT allowed in the house. Producer's don't allow any writing implements.

lizziebelle - If there was going to be a double eviction, it would have happened by now. There are only 2 eliminations left and I doubt they would do it this late.
Doberlady - I know they don't allow writing utensils, but yet they furnished several bottles of nail polish this year which the houseguests have used to write and draw with. Doesn't make sense to me!
This should be an interesting week. I do know who won the HOH but that doesn't matter. Team Christ would have to turn on one another this week no matter who won. I'd like to think I could be strong enough to avoid spoilers this week but I know I'll be on Jokers as soon as I get home from work.

Cruciatus- gNat! I love it. I'm calling her that from now on. lol
FYI, eyebrow pencils are NOT allowed in the house. Producer's don't allow any writing implements.
Really? But I remember gNat doing her "art" (if you could call it that) a little while ago. What was she using if no writing implements are allowed?
I knew James would be gone, and am one of the few who are sad to see him go, but I like that he was trying to plant the seed of doubt in the minds of gNat's alliance. Sheila looked like she was starting to tire of gNat's constant chatter about the girls alliance and I hope she makes her move soon. I'll agree that the single mom card isn't going to win her anything and she's got to step it up if she wants to win. I also hope that she pulls the biggest move and tries to align herself with Sharon and Adam (and maybe even Ryan) to get gNat out. She did say she wanted to do something crazy for her 46th birthday!

I liked James, but I'm glad that he's gone. I can't stand Natalie and I hope she goes soon, but you never know how this game plays out. Matt is not going to have much fun in sequester, but at least James, Chelsia and Josh will.

Hey guys,
Adam and I got our signals crossed and we both posted a blog for last night. Lucky you! Two perspectives for the price of one!
See you Sunday!

I guess I'm on my own BB9 island. I actually like Natalie. Although she annoys me sometimes, but so do the others. I don't see how Natalie's game play is any different than Ryan's. I will admit that blaming the girl power strategy on Sharon was a little messed up, however, still great game play. I also remember Sharon starting the topic of girl power with Natalie and Sheila several weeks ago. So it is partly true...
With James and his purple pants out of the game, I can honestly say that I'm happy with anyone left winning the game. I haven't been able to say that since season 2. I thought that James was vile and self righteous. So what he's biking around the world (like to see him cross an ocean though) on $100! To quote John Travolta from Pulp Fiction "So you decided to be bum". And that "prank" he played on Sheila -- dumping the flour on her - that was not a "prank" it was just plain rude. A true prank was the one they did with saying the Veto competition was starting in the middle of the night. And that was actually funny and entertaining. His personal attacks against Natalie were disgusting and nothing to be commended. James is nothing but a pink mohawked bully and I hope I never have to see him again.
I now think that Adam and Sheila will actually make it to the final two and then I will owe my hubby a dinner, because he called it after they weren't voted out that first week!

Mishymacd, I am a Natalie fan as well. After Chelsia's vile performance the last couple weeks along with Josh & James' behavior I find Natalie refreshing. Does she lie and manipulate. You betcha. Tell me someone who hasn't. I find Natalie a very strong player mentally and physically which will probably seal her fate. Heaven forbid Sheila should have to win anything of her own doing to get ahead. Talk about riding on someone's coat tails. All in all I would be OK with anyone left winning. Sheila would be my last pick though.

Exactly! What really pissed me off about James was that he hated what Nat & Ryan stood for (money) but he was fine with mentally abusing anyone who went against him or pissed him off. I go crazy hearing Natalie's voice but I really believe that she has a good heart.
Can't wait to see what happens next week.

I'm glad James is gone. Good riddens! His comments about hating everyone in the house were childish. So they outplayed you (and the producers) and now you hate them? Grow up Pinky!
