Remember when Brian Krakow was just the uptight kid down the street studying for his calculus test and pining for Angela Chase? Now he's using his developmentally challenged brother to sell government secrets to terrorists. You've come a long way, Brian — hope you enjoy the Rain Man suite in federal lockup. As for his poor brother Brady, I kept waiting for him to drop the act (à la Ed Norton in The Score) and escape with Gredenko. Guess that was all just an opportunity to push Jack one step closer to the edge…. He couldn't take care of his own brother, so he'll just keep moving heaven and earth to save everyone else's.

And while we're on the topic of brothers, Wayne Palmer's awake! Although let's be honest — it's hard to wrest power from the hands of your war-mongering vice president when you're sporting one of those hospital gowns that hangs wide open in the back. Something tells me that once Noah Daniels gets his mind good and made up, he's gonna bomb the bejesus out of Fake-istan if it's the last thing he does.

Lest we forget that CTU has become the industrial-chic version of Melrose Place, Nadia's off the hook, Milo's head over heels in love with her, Doyle's still taunting us with the mystery of what the hell happened in Denver, and Chloe's been relegated to Rear Window duty from her workstation. I know that we're supposed to buy Milo as the new Tony Almeida — trustworthy CTU operative in the middle of a hairy on-the-job romance — but I still have my doubts. Come on: M-I-L-O… M-O-L-E… that's just one little vowel.

Milo and Nadia are no Tony and Michelle, which is the only thing that crossed my mind while I was watching their make-out session. I could care less about them, Morris, or Ricky Schroder and his friend/enemy. Dump 'em all and focus solely on Chloe, Bill and bring in one more person who can actually act (and isn't related to Jack). Remember the good old days when the main credits had like 4, 5 people tops? There's no rule that says everyone at CTU has to have a contract (and this bunch definately shouldn't--remember the good old days when it was just Tony, Nina and Jamie? Mason, Tony and Michelle?).
Speaking of Bill, if you can't bring Karen to LA, you gotta find some way to get him to Washington, because he's reallly boring without her (although I still think he's going to die by the end of the day).
Does anyone care whether Palmer 2.0 dies or whether or not we bomb Fake-istan? The only time my ears perked up during the hospital scenes were when Sandra mentioned David's name. And I'm still waiting to find out what happened with the Logans (and with the previews, it looks like I'll be waiting quite a while).
Not enough Jack, as has been the case the entire season, although that was probably a good thing last night.

So what was that guy doing giving Doyle the computer doo-hickey and telling him he'd keep it a secret and then go tattle to Milo that Doyle had it and was trying to set up Nadia?

Maybe it's me because I'm new to the show this season, but it seems that the scripts have started to slow down. One of the things I loved about the start of the season is how there weren't artificial cliffhangers at the end of each episode to get us to the next one. The whole hour was tight and kept you riveted on evry word.

Tonight, I had no problem skipping 30 seconds ahead on my DVR. They've added more characters, but right now it seems they are diluting the story and are trying to kill time until the last few episodes.

HUGE DITTO to the earlier poster - Milo and Nadia cannot replace Tony and Michelle, so stop shoving them down our throats! Saying that, however, I am mildly interested in what the heck happened in Denver.
I think 24 is realizing it killed off too many good, solid, and interesting character within the last couple seasons (Tony, Michelle, David, Curtis, Edgar) and is scrambling big-time. Chloe and Bill seem completely underused. Desperately hoping the show improves soon.

You know it's not a good episode of 24 when your wife is sitting next to you laughing at crazy plot developments. Wake up the near-dead Palmer the Younger? How about maybe finding a cabinet member or general who disagrees with the order? Then Palmer the Younger is crashing! No! He's awake and ready to don his best suit and take on the Veep! Come on!

And the first thing that came out of my mouth when Milo assaulted Nadia was, "Only Tony and Michelle can pull off something like that, and they're not Tony and Michelle" Actually, it that was my second thought. My first thought was that 24 was diving into General Hospital territory for plot points. If Milo saunters back to his desk next hour and picks up a Cubs mug, I'm done.

At least I got a chance to love Doyle, then hate Doyle, then love Doyle again. Well done, Ricky.

Yawn. Bored now.

During last night's ep, I realized I'm officially watching out of habit. My 'suspension of disbelief' is at the breaking point.

Lest we forget that CTU has become the industrial chic version of Melrose Place

Yeah, I wasn't a big fan of that show either.

Jack and crew better snap back soon. I'm just sayin'.

What a relief! I thought it was just me! The show is definitely off its game this season. Hope they can pull it back in time!

LOL @ Brian Krakow! I thought Brady was going to do something intentionally to foil the plan to bust Gredenkow, but he didn't. Jack showed a sensitive side, but then went right into torture mode. Interesting how he changes mood so quickly - bipolar much? Just kidding.

I. Can't. Stand. Milo. I think he's a mole, he's up to no good, and it's only a matter of time. I have hated David Balfour since "Six Feet Under," and every disaster he's been in since and it seems that 24 is going to be another Balfour casualty. He's the series killer. Get rid of him before the show is six feet under!!

Two hours later - WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED TO LOGAN!???! No mention of it, watched the fake newscast to see if that blurb would at least be on the ticker, no such luck.

I love the show dearly, but it is becoming like another favorite show of mine - my love is lost, it's just a habit, not something that I look forward to each week. Where's my adrenaline rush!??

Good reference to Melrose Place. This whole season has been full of moments like that - Morris grabbing Chloe's butt in the first episode, Jack almost making out with his sister-in-law. Um, there's been a nuke set off. The country is facing 2 more nukes. It's the scariest day in the history of the country. And people are taking the time to make out?????????????? Give me a break.

I was rolling on the floor during the whole Brady the Rain Man subplot. "I'll take care of him", Jack says to the barely worried brother, OH MY GOD, I thought Brady was a goner for sure b/c, well, who fares well when in Jack's care? LOL
Show sucked, recap/review sucked more.
Honestly, Shanda, do you get paid more to write less? Your recaps are the shortest on this site and even when nothing happens on 24, it deserves better.

Someone needs to remind these people that they are not in high school and that there are terrorists out there with two, count 'em two, nuclear (or nucular as Jack says) bombs.

Is a woman really going to just says bygones because a guy (milo) forces a kiss on her? An insult to professional women everywhere. And Doyle's coworker from Denver (sorry too bored to care about his name) playing some silly game with valuable evidence that could help find said terrorists? Come on!

This season has just been such a mess and it's made worse by the fact that it was coming off it's best season.

OK how funny is that, I swear I said to my brother last night that haven't we seen this story line before? And Nadia and Milo are no Michelle and Tony, they cannot even compare. Then we had a moment of silence for Michelle and Tony.

But seriously, how anticlimatic was that Doyle situation? I think I might have yawned.

OH.MY.GOD

Here's what should've happened last night

As soon as Milo kissed Nadhia a sniper should've shot them both.

Rick Schroeder should be gassed just like poor Rudy was...that's what happens to baby-faced CTU operatives. I think someone mentioned that Schroeder could possibly take over as the star of 24 if something ever happens to Jack...I will PERSONALLY start a boycott of the show if something that ridiculous happens...

Between Ricky and his wannabe toughguy persona and Milo forcing chicks to make out with him this show is going to hell in a handbasket.

That being said...I still love it, I enjoyed the rainman segment I'm dying to know what happened to the Logans AND I think Palmer 2.0 has actually grown a pair! (Or at least I hope so)

Here's to the VP being tortured in a Chinese prison sometime in the near future.

OMG, jules14. You took the words right out of my mouth. I just registered so that I could tell Chana how pitiful her blog is. Chana, are you kidding me? My grocery list is more in depth. Is there some inexplicable reason that your blog is so brief and light on analysis?

Thanks Chandra for figuring out it was Brian Krakow. That was driving me nuts.

I was sort of shocked by the non-violence of this episode. As shocking as it is to see Jack rip out someones jugular with his teeth, it is more shocking to see something go right with only the bad guys getting shot on this show. I thought the autistic brother was a goner for sure.
