So then I guess Milo's not a mole. I've decided that human resources departments all across the country should start screening episodes of 24 to their employees, highlighting the inherent dangers of interoffice romances. Best case scenario, the love of your life loses respect for you after you help terrorists arm a nuclear bomb that takes out more than 12,000 civilians; worst case scenario, bullet to the head. Plus there's all that pressure to carpool — it's more or less a lose-lose situation.

In other news, Papa Bauer's back! I'm finding it a bit suspect that Philip would convince the Chinese to launch a full-scale military assault on CTU simply to save his grandson — you remember, the same kid he was using as a human shield a few hours ago? There's got to be more to it… like maybe Josh is building a super-cool, freedom-hating robot in his tree fort, and Papa Bauer's gonna make a fortune selling it to the Chinese! They've asked us to believe a lot this season, so at this point I'm thinking anything's a possibility.

Elsewhere, high-treason call-girl Lisa is busy bedding her lobbyist-turned-spy while Lennox listens in (eww!); Doyle's out in the field, still a good minute and a half away from realizing that Cheng's men (hello, Asian Charles Bronson!) have infiltrated CTU; and Heller's long gone, having taken Audrey home to spoon-feed her tapioca and put the finishing touches on a restraining order — because if anything's gonna stop Jack Bauer, it's a piece of paper. As for our fearless leader, I can't wait to see how he turns the tables on the Chinese at the top of the next hour… hopefully it will involve his own special ass-kicking version of the Riverdance. Seriously, people, we've got three hours left — where's cranky Chloe? Is Logan dead or alive? Did Bill and Karen make up? How long before President Palmer pulls a Fatal Attraction and leaps out of the bathtub, Glenn Close-style, for one last shot at the brass ring? Is Josh really Jack's son or not? And for the last time, what happened in Denver? The clock is ticking, and my loose ends are starting to get loose ends.

You know, I'm really getting tired of Fox showing me the entire plot in commercials right before the "previously on 24...."

Nice to know you can infiltrate CTU merely by blowing up a sewer grate. UGH!! And all this just for grandpa to rekidnap his grandson? You've got to be kidding me!He's perhaps the most wanted fugitive in the country and he's going to risk it all just to kidnap Josh?

And Nadia making goo-goo eyes at the Doyle, the guy who tortured her just
a few hours agao? Really???

And I really wish Fox would stop with the over-hyping -- "This is the episode of 24 you've waited all season for..." No it wasn't - Cheng's still alive! *That's* the episode I'm waiting for!

Whatever happened in Denver MUST be more interesting than what's happening at CTU. How easy is this place to infiltrate? I believe the Chinese could have sent in a class of kindergarteners and received the same results. You know this show has run out of steam and the writers have run out of ideas when they unexpectedly kill a major character (Milo) and NOBODY CARES. (Compare that with the murder of JT on The Sopranos the night before. One killing was haunting and masterful, the other cartoonish.)

Chana - didn't Papa Bauer say something about reprogramming the component for the Chinese? Isn't getting his grandson the "price" for fixing that stupid component!

But how did Papa Bauer know the codes for CTU?

Why isn't there heavier security around a facility that is supposedly important?

And what did happen in Denver?

Where is Chloe? She had a couple of token lines last night - I don't even remember what they were.....

And in a world where someone like Bill Buchanan is being fired - his replacement is knocking at the door while the "conversation" is under way.....

I watch TV to be entertained - and with 24, we obviously border on the "ridiculous" a great deal of the time (I have Sprint and lose the signal driving down the highway. I'm supposed to believe Chinese terrorists have a signal in a sewer line underground?)...

But............ In spite of that - I wanted more when the episode was over!

Chana,

Morris did not arm the bomb that killed 12,000. That was the bomb that went off when CTU agents were moving in to apprehand the guy that got out of prison (he armed it). Morris' bomb merely killed a few hundred first responders dirty-bomb style.

So in the space of one episode, Cheng gets the component, figures out its broken, reaches out to Papa Bauer, gets Pops to fix it in exchange for busting Josh out of CTU, hires top mercenaries, arms them to the teeth, and plans an assault on a supposedly secure counter-terrorism headquarters? That's reeeeaaaalllllyyy stretching things, even for this show.

Eric Balfour's character died before the series did. I think that is a first. Look for his new show to last all of one season (if it gets picked up by CBS).

At least they didn't make us watch Invasion girl sleep with Russian spy guy - dropped that whole story line for 15 minutes. Thank God.

Does anything going on now really relate at all to anything that happened in the beginning of the season/day?

sadly i agree with you guys..
at a time when military guards are patrolling a tunnel or empty military bases...we are suppost to believe that there aren't armed military guards protecting one of the most important agencys in the country? those couple of glimpses we got of those white shirt security guards looked like the kind that you see at the casino;s or walmart.
armed and dangerous anyone?

I thought it was an action packed hour. Jack kicked some major ass and that is what we want. Milo took a bullet. Now if they would do that to Morris everything would be back to normal at CTU.

I still have a feeling, a bad feeling about Morris. After what he said to Chloe about her always being right about things.

Josh must be a super genius. Jack will be so proud of his son.

Is it me, or does it seem like the writers forget that this is all happening in one day? Milo would still be traumatized, Nadia wouldn't be warming up to Doyle so fast... It just seems like they're not writing it any different than if it was a show happening over a span of weeks, aside from the digital clock.

I still love this show. I have to agree that this season is not as good as last but it's still a great show. I do hope though that there's a good reason for Papa Bauer to suddenly want his grandson back after holding him at gun-point just a few hours ago. I'm excited about the final hours and I'll definitely be back next season to see what else the writers will come up with.

Does anyone know the name of the actor that played the "Asian Charles Bronson" character? I know him from "someplace" and it's driving me crazy! Thanks!

There was one spoiler you couldn't help but notice. I'm pretty sure Milo was wearing a wig. I ask my husband, "Whose hair grows out like that in a day". I don't mind if they close down CTU LA as long as Chloe rides shot gun with Jack.

Right on, lucygirl! Now that Jack and Chloe are together again, CTU will be safe. Somehow, I think she'll be part of the plan to neutralize the Chinese SWAT team (where have I seen their leader before? He looks real familiar).

As for CTU security, I agree with jimmy; they don't look very capable at all, although Jack did use the dead black security guard as a pretty handy shield, reaffirming the old TV rule: the black extras are expendable.

I don;t think Jack is Josh's father. I bet the grandfather is and he had the other son raise it as his own so he could manipulate him the way he did and also this would serve to keeop thewife away form Jack since he would want his father's sloppy seconds.

Chloe seemed out of it tonight. She probably ends up being pregnant with Morris' kid thus keeping her ffrom Jack as well.
