Supernatural - Ghostfacers totally rocked! B-)

ghostfacers-01-thumb.jpg
Laugh a minute
Oh man, from the raw and gritty images to the bleeped out language, fun humor and Dean giving the camera the finger, Ghostfacers provided a fantastic bridge between the seriousness of Jus in Belo and next week’s episode - Long Distance Call.

I drove myself and everyone else around me to the brink, in eager anticipation of the return of Supernatural. I was not disappointed.

It was so great to see Ed (A. J. Buckley) and Harry (Travis Wester) again – I love those guys. Corbett (Dustin Milligan) was such a cutie. I feel bad for what happened to him. Maggie (Brittany Ishibashi) and Spruce (Austin Basis) did great jobs.

The cast and crew must have had one of the best times making this delightful episode.

I loved when the guys drove up in the Impala and you could hear the engine just purring and then to have Grand Funk Railroad’s We’re An American Band playing, just capped that whole scene.

What’s the deal with the new Impala license plate number? Anybody have any ideas on this one?

The Morton Mansion was pretty creepy and when Dean finds those toe tags and the “eww” factor that went around the room, I thought was priceless.

Years ago, there was a movie entitled Happy Birthday to Me, starring Melissa Sue Anderson (of Little House on the Prairie fame). It took me a long time to get that birthday party scene out of my head, with all the dead bodies around the table as she celebrated her birthday. Last night’s scene with the party brought it all back again.

The actors did a superb job of portraying their respective parts. On one side we have the Ghostfacers doing their thing and then we have Sam and Dean doing their thing. While the Ghostfacers were running around and being frightened, you have our guys all calm and protective – doing what they do best.:)

It was a fun episode, with lots of quirky and fun one-liners (chiseled chest, anyone?).

Soooooo, does anyone else have the Ghostfacers’ theme song stuck in their heads?:^O

O M G.

This was the BEST epi they could've started this last run with. The writers deserve such a huge pat on the back, they had us rolling the entire episode....and I do have to say I'm happy the hellhounds made it thru without DYING like every other recurring castmember seems to do.

Is it thursday yet????

Hi ya Cassie,

I sure agree. It was a fabulous episode to start with.

You bring up an excellent point too, I'm really glad the hellhounds made it through without dying. They're so funny.:^O

The next few episodes I'm sure all going to be angst and tragedy filled. It was a welcome relief to have some humour with this episode.

Kripke is going to kill us with the last 3 episodes.

This was a good one! So much silliness, but we still got some story arc & angst thrown in there. Plus, Sammy getting pissed & smashing that chair...RAWR!!!!!! Dean muscling that cabinet away from the wall!!!!!!

I remember Happy Birthday To Me! I also think that Corbett's death was a little shout-out to Friday the 13th (think Kevin Bacon & an arrow). Hmmmm...wonder if they'll do that scene in Jared's remake?

Also? Menudo left their dance bag. Hee hee!

Love the bleeping & the little skulls popping up. I would love to see the uncensored version of this. Maybe for some S3 dvd goodies?! Dean flipping off the camera is priceless.

You're right Rap, I had forgotten that part in Friday the 13th, but yeah for sure, it totally fits.

Menudo left their dance bag
I died laughing with that line.

I hope they include it on the S3 dvd goodies. I'm sure there's some priceless uncensored moments.

I bet there was alot of ad libbing probably going on too during this episode. They seemed to have alot of free range to do things, considering the bleeping.;)

Kripke is going to kill us with the last 3 episodes.

I agree, it's going to be an emotional roller coaster.

Grand Funk Railroad’s We’re An American Band

Thanks!!! I didn't recognize that song and was wondering what it was... :)

I think I'm going to have to watch this episode a few times to truly appreciate it...I was more in the mood for an angsty episode so this didn't rub me quite the right way last night...

I loved last night's episode, especially since I'm a fan of SciFi's Ghost Hunters. In fact, I had watched my recording of Wednesday nights episode right before Supernatural came on. Kudos to the writers for a perfect parody. They were dead-on.

I was cracking up when we started hearing It's My Party and I'll Cry If I Want to (I remember when it was a hit record), and poor Sam looked so tortured with his party hat on.

I recognized We're an American Band, but had forgotten who the band was. Thanks for the identification.

Especially when, right after, they got to watch their film being wiped.

Hi Ocean,

"Thanks!!! I didn't recognize that song and was wondering what it was..."

It's a good song eh Ocean? I've always liked it.

Were you disappointed in the whole episode, or just not in the mood for parts of it? Maybe watching it again will help. We'll sure have angst ones coming up.

For me, I truly enjoyed it. I love the freedom that the cast was given and it just felt so real and fun. The one liners and the off-sided humor were great.;)

Happy Friday Marci, I'm going to have to check out Ghost Hunters, I've never seen that show, it sounds good.

You're right about It's my party, I'll cry if I want too. I didn't pick up on that - oh that is funny. Sam did look sad with his party hat on, it was kind of disturbing.

GFR use to do so many great songs. I think this was probably one of their greatest hits.

That was pretty funny when they're tapes and hard drives were getting wiped - lol.

Hey SJ: I'm not sure what it was. It was almost like I knew it was suppose to be a funny episode and that I should be laughing, but I didn't find myself laughing out loud at all. To me, the humor seemed forced or something. The only time I laughed was on a rewatch at the "Menudo" line... *shrugs*

That's a shame Ocean, cause I know how much you usually enjoy the episodes.

Well, next week, I'm sure will be full of angst. I'm wondering if JDM will actually make an appearance?

BTW, how's Chad doing these days? We sure had a ball last Sunday. Hope I didn't wear him out too much for you.;)

Are you looking forward to the next three episodes?

As much as I wish he would, I have a feeling we would have heard about it by now...
