Looking Good for Eli Stone and Other Happy Thoughts for a Monday

featuredpost.jpg
Hi all,
It's a gloomy Monday here in the Northeast, but Kristen at E! has some good news to help us through...

Nothing is official until the network announcements, of course, but Kristen's on-site in NYC for the upfronts and is reporting the following:

-- "Eli Stone will get picked up and may possibly move into Boston Legal’s spot on Tuesday."

-- "Miss/Guided is likely to be picked up."

-- "No official word yet on How I Met Your Mother, but sources connected to the series say they are expecting a fourth-season pickup."

-- "Pussycat Dolls... has been canceled."

-- "The Unit is very likely to receive a pickup."

How awesome will it be if all of these turn out to be true?!

Sad news, on the other hand, for Aliens in America and Women's Murder Club; but every season has its unfair casualties and if I have to sacrifice Aliens and WMC to the tv gods in order to get Eli Stone and HIMYM renewals, then so be it. ;)

Hi Rod,

My goodness, posters from all over the country are reporting gloomy weather. And we, here in the Bay Area, are "looking forward"--NOT!! to a 90+ degree heat wave towards the end of the week.:-p
I am really stoked about Eli Stone coming back--love it! And I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the rumors about HIMYM are true.

If there are any Moonlight fans reading this, Lambsilencer is reporting that the buzz is good for that show as well. So we girls may be getting another season of drooling and sighing over Alex O'Loughlin after all.:-x

Get thee an Ark...or at least a really well built canoe...that is what I am going to need to get home today...after the 4 inches or so of rain that has hit the DC region!! If I start seeing animals in twos....all bets are off!

I have hopes on Eli Stone coming back. There was one show that grew on me.

While not surprised at all of Alien's cancellation, it will be missed greatly. Outside of 30 Rock's "Midnight Train to Georgia" segment, I haven't laughed as hard at a show as I have for Aliens. So a sniff from me that it be gone.

But a big hurray that the CW's dealing with the Pussycat Dolls has comes to a screeching halt.

I've got my fingers crossed for HIMYM and Eli, but the best news you gave me was that The Pussycat Dolls were canceled!!!!!!

*insert dancing in the streets image here*

Thank you Rod for literally giving me the best possible news I've heard ALL DAY!

YIPPEEEE!!!!! Ding dong the Cats are dead!!!

(*Note to people who don't know me all that well: I don't usually celebrate the demise of a television show, or at least I keep it to myself, realizing that every show has a fan or three. But I make an exception for this horrific travesty of a public display of indecency for the sole reason that it played such a huge role in canceling Veronica Mars. For that, we are eternal blood enemies. Forever and ever amen.)

Oh, Famin, I'd be hard-pressed to think that inane Pussycat thing had even 3 fans... good riddance and don't let the door hit it's irritating butt on the way out!

But a big, huge, ginormous YAY! for Eli Stone. Is it official for sure that it's being picked up? That is one show that deserved a renewal! *throws confetti*

CA- I know! I'm in Ohio and we got drenched yesterday, and they're calling for "heavy to torrential" rain on Wednesday.

*eep*

Hi everyone! Thanks for popping in and making the day a little brighter.

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone about why Pussycat Dolls deserved to die... we still miss you Veronica!

Ausiellio is now confirming the good news about Eli Stone, The Unit, and How I Met Your Mother!!

Great news - and REAPER has been renewed also! This is all very good but I guess we will never find out if Nick was the father of Sam on October Road! Can't someone just tell us?

Rod,
Yeah! Our other show in common, Eli Stone, is coming back.

Can't wait to see what they have in store for us.

Well, I'm glad you asked Ranger. Nick wasn't the father of Sam, it was Eddie Latekka. When Nick found out, he was very outraged and that was the end of Best Friend Windows. Janet was none too happy either. Janet decided that Eddie and Hannah could have eachother and ended up marrying Rooster who swept her away to Stars Hollow, where everyone kept mistakenly called him Kirk. They have 3 1/2 children and are very happy. Nick took Aubrey and moved back to New York to write another book, kind of a where are they now about the characters in his first book. Hollywood picked up the story because they had nothing else to do and they were remaking his first book into a movie, so they wanted a part two and made him write another book for the trilogy about the afterlife of the characters.
