The Giants Weren't The Night's Only Surprise: I Liked House (uh-oh!)
If the Giants upset wasn't surprising enough, imagine my surprise when I found myself leaving the tv tuned to FOX to watch House, and imagine my even further surprise to find out that I actually enjoyed the episode.
I know I watch a lot of television, but House has never been on my "watch list." I had seen a few season one episodes and I didn't like what I saw, so I tuned out. Color me surprised to find out that maybe I've been missing something all these years. Last night's ep was really good, and I was digging the new characters played by Kal Penn and Olivia Wilde (hotness personified).
The last thing I need is another show to watch, but if the strike lingers on, I might just have to add House to the list of shows I catch-up on.

Oh no, Rod, where are you going to find the time to add House to your already full viewing schedule?  I like House enough to watch it off and on but not enough to watch it every week, but I know how you feel!

Uh-oh, Rod. House will suck you in. It did the same thing to me last Spring and now I'm obsessed with it. Run away! Run far, far away! (Just kidding, House is totally worth it).

Hi Rod, I didn't stick around for the show. I still think Fox should have put something else after the superbowl. If you take out AI, house is their top hit. So, they could have really used that for one of their other shows, specifically, Bones-which is totally underrated- or even a new sarah connor chronicles.

I'm so happy for you Rod!!! The good thing is that you can catch up on House in repeats on the USA channel. They usually repeats not only older episodes but also this season too.

Leah, I agree but for a different reason. I wanted to watch the celebration and hear the interviews after the big game. I would have felt the same even if the Giants had lost. My attention was strictly football - really sports.
This was a GREAT sports weekend for me. My Mets (yes, I am still a fan) scored huge with the addition of Johan Santana and now my Giants have thrown a monkey wrench into the Pats plan for a perfect season. Congrats to The Patriots for a great game and a near perfect season.

I caught on to what a good show House is kind of late myself. At first I didn't like it, it had to grow on me. But now I don't miss an episode.
I'm sure you'll have lots of chances to catch up since this is one show that Fox does air repeats of every week.

Rev - I thought you were a Jets fan. Can you be both? In the Bay Area, there are two religions--the 49'ers and the Raiders. The fans of each team hate the other team, so people here grow up being a fan of just one of them, and hating the other.

It was the same for me Lynn. House was/is such a jerk, especially in the earlier episodes.
Hi Marci. I like the Jets, but I am a Giants fan. I like the Yankees, but I am a Mets fan. I'll root for both the Yankees and Jets unless they're up against my Mets and Giants.

Rod - HOUSE is a must-watch for me! Between the snarkiness, the brilliant writing and the hotties it really delivers!
I thought last night's episode was very good, with Mira Sorvino doing a stellar job!

I would have loved to see Bones have that slot, too, Leah, but the Bones rating just aren't strong enough (partly the fault of the network in my opinion) to get it. If it couldn't be Bones in that slot I'm glad it was House.
