Dancing With the Stars: “No matter if we lose or win, we were still on TV!”
The highlight of last night’s show was the dance off between the kids who had appeared earlier in the season.
In the 9 and under category, Rashell & Aaron performed a fantastic Cha Cha. Kym Johnson even came by their rehearsal studio to give them some support. Both kids had become mini-celebrities back home and Aaron was very excited about that. “No matter if we lose or win, we were still on TV!”
They danced really well prompting this comment from Len: “Your little bums were flying everywhere!”
There was a break for someone named Omarion to sing a tribute to Michael Jackson’s Thriller (25th anniversary). People danced. They all looked like Wesley Snipes in those vampire movies he did before going to prison for tax evasion.
Then the kids were back. In the 10 and under category, Jaryd & Cara returned. They scored a visit from Maks and a smitten Cara was thrilled. “He’s so cute!” she said. They did an adorable Samba to the song “Istanbul”. Len told the kids that he’d “rather watch you two than those big ones.”
But it was the 13 and under kids, Brandon & Brittany that set the show on fire. They performed a Paso Doble that could have stood up to the pros this season. It was phenomenal. Tom Bergeron said he’d never seen all three of the Trio of Annoyance’s jaws hit the table at the same time before.
We’ll find out who won the viewer vote for the most entertaining performance by the kids next week.
Finally, left for the end, (with some unnecessary filler about how much each finalist wanted to win), we found that Kristi & Mark were safe. Then, after waiting for a commercial break and coming back with about 4 minutes left, we found that it was…as most of us predicted…Marissa and Tony going home.
They didn’t look a bit surprised.
So it will come down to Jason/Edyta, Christian/Cheryl and Kristi/Mark next week. I predict, that with his growing fan base and stepped up game (since injuring his arm) that Cristian and not Jason will be dancing against Kristi and Mark for the final.

You are probably right I just want to see more Edtya. Kristi should win but we are down to a popularity contest. Many people don't want to see an Athelete win that could help Cristian, many people want a woman to win that will help Kristi, Many people want to see Edtya finally win but I don't think that alone with help Jason. I want Kristi to win Cristian has grown on me although I prefer Edtya to Cheryl and I like how Cristian & Jason really seem to get along. I usually root for the underdog and that would be Cristian. I didn't enjoy the Michael Jackson thing I fast forwarded right through that I would much prefer to see our pro's dancing, Edtya,Julianne,Kim,Karina,Anna,Cheryl, Max,Louie,Alex,Johnathan etc. The kids were outstanding.Well next week we'll get to see all this seasons dancers back, Mario,Penn,Adam,Priscell etal.As we have said before this season seemed rushed and the dancing wasn't as good as the past few seasons hopefully when they come back in the fall, they will have better dancers.

Hi nyjoey, I'm a huge Edyta fan too. So is the hubby for obvious reasons but I feel fan support moving Cristian's way. I think they did as good as they could with this season. Because of the strike it was rushed and it felt rushed. I bet they get things much better in the fall when they've had the proper time to prepare!

Hi again Vickie Jean:
No surprise that Marissa had the lowest scores and was voted out of the competition. She did a great job and lasted a lot longer than most of us thought that she would. She's a very cheerful, caring person. Her personality should be bottled and sold to people who are mean and nasty to others.
Brandon and Brittany danced better than some of the supposedly "pro dancers" that have guest starred. They were phenomenal. All of the kids were cute, especially Aaron and Cara.
Omarion was not the best choice to sing or dance the Michael Jackson tribute. Chris Brown or Usher would've been a much better choice. Their singing and dancing are 10 times better than Omarion.
Thanks again, Vickie Jean. Get some rest and enjoy AI tonight.

I thought Brandon and Brittany's tango was much better than Jason's was the night before. I tried to vote for them but my time zone was closed. That's what I get for watching Hell's Kitchen first.
I just saw Marissa and Tony on Good Morning America. She was talking about how she lost her voice the second week and still hasn't gotten it back. Tony said it's because they have become good friends and talk alot during rehersals. Marissa is expecting through a surrogate in 2 months and Tony and his wife are having twins (a boy and a girl) in August so they had a lot in common. I will miss them next week but it was time for them to go.

Good morning, again, Vickie! I didn't watch the show so thank you so much for watching and reporting for me! I sure would love to see those kids dance. I just can't fit it in with everything else I watch.
I wasn't surprised with Marissa's exit. I doubt anybody was. I liked her, but she was definitely the weakest by far of those left and it was her time to go.
I think the way it's working out it's anyone's game. I have been a Kristi fan since the beginning, but Jason and Christian are also excellent dancers and have huge fan bases as well. It's going to be fun to see them pull out all the stops for the title!

Hi Lady, I think it went as we all thought it would. I really did love the kids last night. I hope they do that next season too. I think those older kids were just as good as some of the stuff we've seen this season! Thanks so much! I'm resting and feeling better every day.
Hi Reality, I didn't get to vote for anyone on anything last night. None of our phone lines would ring through last night. We always have this problem here in the St. Louis metro area. Lots of people voting I guess. I'll just have to trust America to vote for me! I thought Marissa was inspiring but it was time for her to go. She had a great run!
Hi Auntie, Thanks! I'm feeling much better and getting plenty of rest. Kristi does look stressed doesn't she? Hopefully she'll relax next week and enjoy herself. My dear friend Ranger corrected a link to the wedding pictures in my blog from day before yesterday down in the comment section. If that doesn't work for you let me know and I'll try to post it again and do better this time!
Hey Coug, I watched this on extreme fast forward, let me tell ya. I wasn't surprised that Marissa went. It was her time. I think anyone could win now too so next week might be very exciting if everyone brings their A game.

If it is down to Kristi and Cristian in the finals, who do you predict will win?
I have been a Kristi and Mark fan from day 1 and they have been the best dancers. Mark's a great choreographer and dancer. With what happened to him last season with Sabrina, I would love to see Mark as the pro winner. He seems to be very excited about being in the finals, i.e., his reactions to the announcement on Tuesday evening. Carrie Ann said this weeek that Mark throws choreography at Kristi that is BEYOND ANY ONE ELSE ON THE DANCE FLOOR and she takes it and attacks it full board. Besides the fact that I think a woman needs to win this season and this particular woman is the best, Kristi is the one that should do it . Tired of the fact that the last 4 have all been men.
The kids were great, especially the older ones. WOW!!!!

Hi Vickie Jean. A little late, getting in on this one (how do YOU do it??).
We did have it pegged and I'm glad Marissa is out, though I LOVE HER, because I'm happy she lasted to the top 4 but if she stayed someone that was a better dancer would have had to leave.
I HOPE Kristi gets it - because she's been consistently good - the judges expect much more from her than anybody else because of it - viewers may NOT be voting for her because they feel she has it in the bag AND because some of them may prefer upsets - and because I really think she IS the best.
Think Cristian has a great chance though because he's gotten better and better - and especially after his accident - so that some viewers are touting the fact that BECAUSE he didn't come in with the dancing ability and improved so much he SHOULD win - and though I'd hate for him to win for that reason I DO think he's been fantastic!
Jason, though charming and amazingly agile, does not I'm afraid get to me where I say WOW as do the other two.
The kids WERE fantastic and I'm sorry but I voted for ALL THREE.
Wonder what's going to happen now, but look forward to next week, AND to your blog, AND to ONE LESS SHOW I GOTTA WATCH. WHEW, I'm TIRED and I'm not there writing about them all like you are.
GO GIRL. Happy you're feeling better. Keep it up. OH can't get your photos even with Ranger's link because it's animated media from macromedia flash and for some reason I CAN'T pick most of those things up though AOL has sent me oddles of emails after live chats trying to figure out WHY.
Have a good and restful weekend!!
