TV Guide Community Blogs Idea
Years ago I suggested to David that they find a way to sort the blogs by the colored circles as an option (like put the ones with half orange at the very top, the orange ones next and the white ones last) so you can see easier if anyone has replied to anything you read without going back several pages or getting so many e-mails.
Does anyone else find this to be a good idea? I hope they are able to find a way.

That is a TERRIFIC idea Mannie! I'd like that better than filling up my mailbox with a zillion e-mails. When I go away for the weekend I have to try to remember to unsubscribe to the recent blogs that I commented on or I may not get important mail if it's a particularly busy weekend.

Oh, that would be nice!! It would keep me from having to go through pages and pages of blogs to find the ones I commented on.
However, it does seem to me that they have their hands full right now. I just realized today that I don't get ANY of my email alerts anymore--before I only got some of them now none. Sigh.

Can I add to the wish list?
I've always wished that there was some way that we could sort our own blogs too, like finding all of CindyRoses's blogs on Supernatural in one place, or finding all of Famin's Veronica Mars rewathces in one easy place, or finding all of Vickie's Idol blogs in one place, etc. Know what I mean?

Rod, I was thinking the same thing. And Mannie, this is a great idea!
Maybe it will help me to get around better, since I still don't really know the ins & outs....well, basically I don't know what I'm doing half the time, let alone what the circles meant in the first place!

I think it is a great idea, too. I'd love to be able to see what I need to see without having to check back 10 pages everyday. You are a genius, Mannie!

I wish it were easier to search on the community. For instance if I want to see an entry (not a personal blog entry but maybe their most recent response, etc) by Rod or CindyRose or Famin and I search against their names I won't get the most recent thing the posted. I love for that to change.

I've never known what the circles mean or what they're for.
What I don't understand is why our comments aren't listed in chronological order after the first ten. When you click onto "More by this Member," you end up in some kind of cyberhell and I can't for the life of me figure out how to get the rest of my most recent comments.

That is an excellent idea, and TV Guide used to do something similar to that. Before I started blogging out here in Jan. '07, I lurked a lot. At that time, if you searched Supernatural in the search box at the top of the page, it would take you to the SN page where all blogs Supernatural could be found. They had a mini version of what you see on the Community Blog page with all the blogs linked in a listing. Anything that had Supernatural in the blog title was there.
I originally got hooked on Mary's and CindyRose's blogs, and it's how I could find all of them to read in one shot.
Now, if you go to the SN page, the only thing they have is a message board listing. They reformatted along the way and got rid of the one central blog listing.
I miss it and wish it would come back. It was a very easy way to read anything and everything to do with SN. There is no central place to read all blogs about a specific show anymore.

Quick tutorial: the orange circles show your "read" status. In other words, if the orange circle is fully filled, that blog is unread by you (ie, never read). If the circle is gray, it means there have been no new comments since you last clicked on the blog. If it's a semi-circle of orange, it means there have been new comments since you last clicked on the blog.

Mannie - I think a user friendly sort feature would be good. If you could list the blogs by newest, oldest, title, or creator it would be much easier. It might encourage people to put in their title what show the blog is about. I don't know why you couldn't also sort on Blogs I've replied to or something like that. Good programmers can do anything.
