YEAY! Congratulations! Here's your present.
So.... How'd you like it? I just finished my own rewatch yesterday myself.

I liked it a lot better than I thought I would from the first episode. I'm going to re-watch that to see if I like that episode better after I know the characters more. I think my top two episodes are Out Of Gas because we get to see how the crew all met and the last episode. I loved River in that episode!!! I ended up liking Mal better than I thought I would and I still love Jayne. In the last episode when he rolls over when the fight is going on upstairs, I said "Go get em Jayne" but he just rolled over and that made me laugh really hard for some reason.

Good Morning!
Hey guess what I can finally do!

Yeay, Julie, you figured it out!
Mannie, you're pretty on track with the rest of the Browncoat community. Most Browncoats list Out of Gas, Objects in Space, Jaynestown, and Our Mrs. Reynolds as their favorite episodes. Oh, and Shindig. I've said before that I love Objects in Space best for the writing and Out of Gas best for the acting.
Why am I not surprised Jayne is your favorite character? How'd you like Jaynestown? "Jayne! They call him Jayne! Well, he took from the rich and he gave to the poor...."
I said "Go get em Jayne" but he just rolled over and that made me laugh really hard for some reason.
I know! Typical Whedon fake-out. Totally in keeping with his character too!
So, did you like the pilot episode better on second watch? I find that I do--at least better than the first time I watched it. I don't like Train Job as much as the others, despite the fact that Marshall Huntzberger is in it and is very good. During my rewatch I realized that Nathan was reunited with at least two Desperate Housewives costars in Firefly. (Well, they were reunited in DH, since that came after!)
If you liked River ("I'm not in the ship. I am the ship.") in Objects in Space, she's going to blow you away in Serenity the movie! I'm so glad you're going this weekend! And I'm glad you enjoyed the series. So, where does it fall on the VM scale? Above, below, or same?

Great job Julie!!!!! What else ya got???
I loved how some of the characters kept coming back (like Mrs. Reynolds) but the ending would have sucked if they hadn't made a movie to answer the questions. I still haven't seen the movie and I'm not going to watch it until Saturday.
Jayne is just SOOO cute!!! I don't know why I love him. Probably why I love Logan. I'm all about the bad boy I guess! I haven't watched the pilot episode again yet. I'll probably end up watching that Friday night. This week's going to be a little busy.
I thought River said "I'm on the ship, I'm in the ship". You're probably right because you watched it more than me. I can't wait to see Serenity. I hope I can follow it Saturday.
VM is still ranking over Firefly but maybe if Firefly had more time to answer everything. Plus they are so different that it's hard to pick one over the other.

I agree--they are very different and I like VM and Firefly for different reasons. That's probably why they're about neck-and-neck for me.
Here's the River quote per TV.com. I had to get theirs because you already know how faulty my memory is regarding quotes!
River: You're wrong, Early. Early: I'm not wrong, dumpling. I will shoot your brother dead if you don't... River: Wrong about River. River's not on the ship. They didn't want her here, but she couldn't make herself leave, so she melted. Melted away. They didn't know she could do that, but she did. Early: Not sure I take your meaning there. River: I'm not on the ship. I'm in the ship. I am the ship.
Which leads to the famous quote by Simon...
Early: You're all insane. Simon: My sister's a ship. We had a complicated childhood.
I agree that Jayne is indeed a riot. When Adam Baldwin started doing Chuck, the thing that sold me on the show was the little moments of Jayneism that we got. How can you not love Jayne? Sure, you might not want to trust him all the time, but he has more of a heart that most give him credit for! The ol' lovable lug.
I should warn you though--some of the questions are answered in the movie. Some are not! Luckily, Joss is doing comic books to fill in some of the gaps!

Thanks Julie. I know I could use that today. I was a little grumpy earilier. How was your weekend?
How many comic books has he done Famin? Also is there a place to find out all the chinese things they said? Did you watch the deleted scenes? There was one from Our Mrs. Reynolds that made me laugh so hard! Joss is doing lots of comic books, isn't he? I wish Rob Thomas would.

Cute, Julie! I'm having a rotten Monday (comes from being out for 2 days) so a smile brightens it up some!
I wish Rob Thomas would.
You and me both!!!
Let's see if I can answer some of your questions.
Comic books: I think there are only two series so far. The first is Those Left Behind. And the second is the current series, Better Days; only two of the three comics have come out so far (this is the second one).
This might help with the Chinese.
I did watch all the Deleted Scenes--some more than once! Which one are you talking about?

Mannie - good for you. Hope I can comment. I would love to watch the whole series. I only saw part of it and loved it. I watched Serenity first then went back and got the first disk. Maybe some day I'll watch and understand it all. I have to watch the second season of Dexter first and I can do that online.

LOL, Julie's having fun with Photobucket today.
Cindy, you can watch Firefly for free on Hulu.com as well. In fact, that's where I've been watching it. Only 'cuz I'm too lazy to get up and get the disks.
