« Panns' Ponderings
Supernatural - How to get through the week.
Well, I’ve surprised myself. Two weeks ago, if you had asked, I would have told you that I’m a Hellatus blogger, and you wouldn’t see me here until the next Hellatus.
However, after waiting (not) so patiently all summer, I’ve found that 39 minutes and 51 seconds are just not enough! And I have to wait another week to get more? Inhumane!
So, I’ve borrowed a room for the meeting of the SOS group. (Supernaturally Obsessed Support group.)
Come in. Have a seat. There’s food over on the side board. Try those over there. They’re just like mini-Philly cheesesteaks. They’re delicious. We also have taquitos, cheeseburgers, pie, nurples, beer, appletinis (a new addition), dry white toast, Four whole fried chickens and a Coke. (the last couple of items are from the support group that used this room before us.)
OK, everyone good? Great, come and have a seat. I borrowed the comfortable cushy seats from the other parts of the sanitarium, no plastic folding chairs for us!
Now the topic for today is how to get through the mini-Hellatus, more commonly known as “the week”. (See, I told you I was a Hellatus blogger.) Now, I rely pretty heavily on my Supernatural playlist (my kids now know all the songs), but I’m finding that I may need a little more intervention. So I’m looking for suggestions.

Hello, my name is Panns, and I’m a SnOb. Here is my suggestion on how to get through the week.
Drive to the local diner. Send passenger in to order cheeseburger with extra onions and pie. Wait 30 seconds, then burst in the front door to make sure that everyone is OK.
Who’s next? (I just ask that you keep this PG. )

Panns! Awesome blog idea!!
Hello, my name is Oceantriana, and I'm a SnOb. Right now, I have no idea how to help anyone get through the week (I'm at work and not allowed to be creative here)....
Until I come up with a witty idea, I'll just eat the food, drink the drinks, and soak up everybody else's ideas...

Excellent!
Hello. My name is Raputa (Rap to my friends) & I'm a very proud SnOb!! Hmmmmm...my suggestion for getting through the week...
(1) When driving to & from work (or anytime when driving, really) blast the radio & when a Dean song comes on, clap your hands & shriek with glee, then turn the radio up even louder.
(2) Haunt fanfiction.net looking for glorious new stories.
(3) Log in here at tvguide.com & never leave (except to sleep & use the ladies room)
(4) Compulsively check the various sites for any new pictures, picspams, or even the tiniest crumb of Supernatural news. Jensen, Jared, JDM can all be substituted for Supernatural in the previous sentence.
(5) Play your favorite YouTube vids again & again & again & one (or 5) more time(s)!!!!

Panns--I don't have a laptop...YET! I was seriously considering getting one, especially because the Chicago trip is coming up, but I can't swing it right now. I did just buy a portable dvd player though!!! That way, I can the boys with me wherever I go!!!!
Is it Thursday yet?!?!?! Like Dean, I have no patience!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just one more reason that we're soulmates! Umm...that goes for Jensen too! ">

Howdy! (No, I'm not a demon, although I have been accused of being demonic).
My name is Tana, and I am a SnOb.
My recommendations on killing time:
Keep the classic rock blaring in car
Occasional hot fudge sundaes (or alternative chocolate sources)
Read various rambles on TVGuide blogs; reserve extra time for CindyRose's.
Brainstorm ways to hijack Nielsen boxes (hard to do when you are technologically-challenged, but I still try).
Spend WAAY too much money on iTunes downloading classic rock.
Check the CW site every 15 minutes for the new director's cuts (is it there yet?)

Oh, hi Tana! Sorry, I was just looking at the CW site for director cuts. (Is it just me, or did they move everything around?)
Great ideas!
And Rap, laptop, or meet the guys? Yeah, I know which one I'll pick.
Here's what I'm going to do tomorrow to kill time:
Figure out a way to include the following in everyday conversation:
Asshat (this and the next one are a little hard for me since I have young kids) Fugly Dude Candygram I don’t do shorts

Hello, my name is Lucie, better known as FrenchLady or Frenchie, and I’m a SnOb.
Rap and Tana pretty much covered what I do to get through the week.
What really really helps is coming here and seeing that I'm not alone.
And using the internet to see and read all that I can about Supernatural.
Rap, I have a laptop, the problem is hubby wants it as much as I do. The desktop computer wasn't that popular before. I think that laptops make their owners develop an addiction... So be careful if you buy one. For me it's more an addiction to everything that is Supernatural. Either surfing on the internet for Supernatural or watching my Supernatural DVDs if I can't get the TV..

Wheeeee!
Hello, my name is Mary, also known as Bardicvoice, Bardic, BV, Professor, and Prof (I have almost as many aliases as the boys!), and I'm a SnOb.
My iPods and office computer all have classic rock Supernatural playlists, and guess what's usually playing?
Getting through the week includes much blogging, haunting of fansites, and (on the rare occasions when the muse strikes) even writing fanfic. And this week, it includes watching DVDs!
And I must think of classroom material ...

Salut Lucie!
I’m pretty lucky. My husband has his own laptop, so I don’t have to sneak it away from him. And us SnObs are pretty lucky when it comes to the internet. We have a lot of material to go through. (Again, and again and again . . .) Hi Mary!
Yes, I’m “wearing out” the Supernatural playlist on my iPod as well. Right now I’ve got it to songs that have played on the show, but I may need to create a Supernatural groups one (Styx, Boston, Journey, etc.). Does anyone else have the temptation to burn the list onto a CD, and then use a boom box to put it on a tape? And then find a ratty box to store it in their car? No? Just me?
And I must think of classroom material ...
Anytime you are ready Professor, we’ll be here! (Another great way to get through the week, go to class!)

Now Frenchie, we just need to figure out a way to get your hubby to buy his own laptop. How about locking in Jared and Jensen wallpaper, so that every time the computer boots up, guess who he has to look at? ">

Panns - Awesome idea with the wallpaper...may I suggest the one with Sam only a towel?? That should really keep hubby away! ">
My name is Zofia (middle name actually) and I've been a SNOb since the beginning. To pass the weekly hellatus I read the blogs here at TV Guide.com or get a mini-Winchester fix by watching some Plastic Winchester Theater. If you have never been there, I highly recommend it. I've got several people addicted to it. Here's the link (hopefully...I've never linked before): http://anteka.livejournal.com/67179.html#cutid1
