« Panns' Ponderings

Supernatural Book Club

Hello everyone. I’ve been working on my Roadkill blog for a couple of days. I had it ready to go, when I read the news about the CW mid-season line-up. That’s kind of ruined my mood today. How does everyone else feel? Do you want to try this today, or wait a couple of days to absorb the schedule information?

Panns- I just read the news over at my yahoo account then came over here to see what you all had to say. I admit to being a little heart-sick at the moment. See my comments over at Lacey's blog. I went there first.

But you know what... I think we should keep on keepin' on. keep doing what we're doing and showing our support for our show.

We could always organize a march on the CW if they don't bring SN back!

How about we take tonight off and talk about Roadkill tomorrow?

I just started watching this year and I think it's crap what CW is doing. Can't we inundate them with emails or petitions or something?

I think that's a great idea, Brit. I'll post it some time tomorrow. And you are so right, we need to keep on loving our show!

Molly, I'm so with you. They just don't treat our show very well, do they? E-mail campaign sounds like a good start. I'll go look for the e-mail link I posted in one of my other blogs. And I'll check with Mary, cause I bet she already has the template of a good letter/e-mail to send.

That happens to me every time, I guess it's my own fault for being late to the party and just starting to watch this year. It just seems I get into a show and someone cancels it or moves it or something.

Well there was the sitting on the bed with Jared. The rescue by Dean...

"Thank God!" Molly cries.
"The name's Dean," he smirks.

Hey...I did resolve to be bad...

Oh Molly, when my head gets straight I'll do the Blood Ties entry...I now want to scream at Lifetime and demand my money back!

"Well you look like a God to me" says Molly in a low husky voice.

Hey, folks - this is just a drive-by comment, because I'm running. I do promise to work up something of a polite but firm message to the CW to send via email and snailmail, but it will have to wait until tomorrow ... running off now. I'll, uh, post ...

Panns ... dearie ... I hope that you don't mind but I have a few thoughts (more to come later) that I'm simply copying from the playroom because I don't have much time. I will be joining Mary in putting something more out, but in the meantime ...

This will be a bit fast my dear inmates as I don't have alot of time. Trust me when I say I will return with lots more to say ... but I have to make a comment about the state of depression that seems to have overtaken my inmates last night. I'm sorry that I wasn't here at the time.

Goodness! Bless you all ... I love you muchly - but ya'll are the fastest to panic and depression I have ever had the pleasure of keeping track of!

I have a few points to make and so am working to put together something myself, I am just also having to work with a couple of kids studying for finals as well this weekend. Sorry - school comes first in this household.

So ... I'd like to point you all to THIS wonderfully written article by Lady Talon. Kitty and Coug have already seen it. It gives a bit of a different perspective.

We don't want to harm our show with all the negativity. Dissension in our ranks is not an option ... positive thoughts and goals are necessary.

So ... please, my dear ones ... bring out your pictures, your nurples, and CELEBRATE the boys. They're not gone forever. We've dealt before, we can deal again. Because, in the end, our reward is great - it is Supernaturally great.

I'll be back ... but now ... I must tack this in the other playrooms and then I get to do a history review and a geography review. Can the joy never end???

Thank you Mary, and thank you Cindy. The reason that I came to the community blogs in the first place, is that it's a place where we focus on the positive, and don't let ourselves sink into a "depression cycle". I know I wasn't in the best mood last night, but I've read LadyTalon's blog (it was very good), and I'm working on regaining my "good vibes".

I didn't mention it here last night, but when I think about sending a comment to the CW, I think it should be a positive reinforcement of the fact that we are loyal SN fans and will continue to be so even if we have to wait a while for our next episode.
