Supernatural Book Club - an Invitation
Hello everybody! How is everyone doing? Hope everything went well for you all over the holidays, and still continues to go well!
OK, I have a question for ya'll. As most of you know, I usually post blogs during the hellatus cause that's when I get bored. And this is going to be one heck of a hellatus! (Or is that one hell of a hecklatus?) ">
Anyway I'm wondering if anyone is interested in a "Book club" or in this case, a "video club". I was thinking that we could take turns picking out an episode and commenting on it. Not the full-on commentary that we do with a new episode, but just pick something that strikes you and talk about it. For example, it might be about the bond between brothers, it might be about foreshadowing for future episodes, or it might just be something you noticed in the episode. Like the last time I watched "Croatoan", the music in the background of the last scene, amazing!
I posted this over at LJ too, so if people want to cross-post, you are welcome. And when it is a LJer’s turn, I’ll post a link here so that everyone can find it.
If you are interested in taking a turn “hosting”, let me know in the comments, and I’ll add you on to the rotation list. I’ll PM you when it’s your turn, and if you are too busy that week, I’ll just skip to the next person and come back to you later. I figure we’ll try one each week that we don’t have a new episode. And if you only want to visit and chat rather than hosting, that works too!
Since I came up with this insanity, I’ll go for this week. I’m picking “Roadkill” for my episode. I’ll try and get something posted in the next couple of days.

(OK for some reason, having all these words in quotation marks in this blog reminds me of Austin Powers. "You see, I've turned the moon into what I like to call a 'Death Star'. ")

Great Sarie, Whimsy and SJJCM, glad to have you all on board! I'm busy watching Roadkill right now. Oh the effort I put out for Supernatural.
Just as an aside question, will you or anyone responding here be attending the LA Supernatural Convention in March?
I'm a little "out of the loop", I didn't know that there was going to be one. Do you have a link to the website? *is hoping*

It's on Saturday, March 29th and Sunday, March 30th.
And guess what, they're going to be offering a J and J "sandwich" photo-op for the first time ever. OMG - I can hardly wait to be the filling in that sandwich!!!!!!!!!!
I know for sure that at least three of us are going.
It's going to be so, so much fun!

I would love to be going to the LA one but I can't save up the travel money in time and am going to Bali that month.
I am planning my trip for Chicago if anyone is going to that in Nov 08.

Laineyau, my guess is that there will still be a group going to the Chicago convention since it is more centrally located. Bali sounds exciting too!

Panns, sign me up! I'll be keeping Supernatural University open as well, but I always LOVE playing with episode thoughts. Hmm - I didn't start blogging until the beginning of season two ... maybe I should go back and start in on season one!
I'm one of the folks going to LA in March to see the boys. Old enough to be their mom, and looking forward to being the book between their bookends in that twofer photo op ... man, how fangirlish can one woman get? I don't know about Chicago yet; November is very far away (part of the reason March so appealed to me!). But I promise faithfully to report back on my experiences in LA! (See you there, Sandra ... *grin*)

Panns- you can sign me up. I'd love to do one and you know I'll be there to make comments on the others.
I wish I could go to any convention but I don't know how I would even go about going. It's not like I want to drag my hubby and I'm too chicken to go alone... sigh... maybe someday. A J+J sandwich sounds delicious!
Hey this may be a stupid question for a SNOB but when do we get a new episode? Does anyone know?

Brit - I heard somewhere that our next episode is Jan 31st, but I haven't confirmed that.
Mary, for anyone who can't go, we'll be on the edge of our seats waiting for all of your reports!

Chalk yourself up another one, Panns, the Cat is ready to chat!  And I will gladly volunteer to be a host as well. Goodness knows we need something to kill time during these ever-increasing (and increasingly long!) hellatuses...
And...sigh...I wish I could go the convention in LA, but LA is a mite far away for that to be happening. *sniffle* Boys? Pretty please come to WV one day soon? Please??? Or at least one of the states that border us!

OMG, I'm almost embarrassed to admit this, but I'll be heading out to LA as well. I've decided I definitely have an addiction that I'm feeding with all these trips! I've decided to keep my Chicago tickets, too, since that will be a relatively inexpensive trip for me since I can drive there (no airfare- YAY!)
Yep, I've been bitten by the bug...darn that sandwich photo op! I wouldn't have been tempted to go if it wasn't for that! Sneaky convention planners...
So to all you west coast people- try to come out and play. The huge fun in these things is meeting our fellow SN nutcases!
