Favorite Jensen Moment #2
Oh Jensen, just when I thought you couldn't break my heart anymore...you go and do it again...and again...and again...

I'm still recovering from Dream a Little Dream of Me, in which I thought Jensen did a phenomenal job!

You know, I started doing this weekly blog months ago, as a way to recognize Jensen for all his hard work. I thought somewhere down the line, I may have trouble finding my favorite "Jensen" moment in an episode. But that hasn't happened. Jensen just continues to deliver again and again and it is such a joy to watch.

I have two favorite moments from last night's episode. I know, I know - I should just pick one, but as I was driving to work this morning, I kept arguing with myself on which one to pick. And since it's snowing here, I finally gave up the argument, decided to just pick two favorite moments, and start paying attention to my driving before I ended up in the ditch!

My first favorite "Jensen" moment: When Dean told Bobby to wake up because he has been like a father to him. That just made my eyes well up...and the only reason I didn't cry is because my hubby was watching the show with me.

My second favorite "Jensen" moment: The very end, when Dean told Sam that he didn't want to go to hell. Again, my eyes welled up and I felt so sorry for this amazing young man.

Now, please tell me your favorite "Jensen" moment from Dream a Little Dream of Me.

My favorite Jensen moment was that flash of Demon!Dean with that little creepy smile at the end.

Your moments came in second and third.

Oh, and Dean losing it and ranting about John while beating the crap out of Demon!Dean . . . I got teary eyed and and little thrill up my spine. I just wanted to hold him and remind him that John loved him so much that he went to Hell for him.

Oh Ocean! That scene in Bobby's dream totally got me too! I cried & cried. I thought it was a nice tie-in to the scene between Bobby & Dean in the junkyard in AHBL2. Oh Deano...you're really getting good at these chick-flick moments!

Dean vs Dean...he finally lets loose with the anger & resentment, then he shoots his dream self! OMG...that was wonderful & awful to watch. Jensen was just awesome in that scene.

I think Dean is going to have nightmares about that for a long time, but I'm so glad that he finally admitted to Sam that he wants to live.

Oh Ocean.....the two you mentioned were tops for me too. Jensen is poetry in motion, I swear.

And I loved Dean ranting and raving about his dad...didn't you just know that deep down all this time he had to feel some resentment toward his dad? Now hopefully he has gotten it out of his system. And thank goodness he told Sam he wants to live. Hallelujah!

Truly Ocean, wasn't last night's episode something else. Jensen was sensational.

I loved the part with Bobby and him and then the part in the Impala with Sam.

Oh, it was just so chock full of emotion.

Whimsy: My favorite Jensen moment was that flash of Demon!Dean with that little creepy smile at the end.

OMG! That was so completely creepy, I think my mind blocked it out. *shudders*

Oh Rap! I hadn't thought about that - the scene with Dean and Bobby is a total tie-in with AHBL2. I just wish these boys would stop keeping secrets from each other. Do you think Dean will ever tell Sam what really happened in his dream???

Gaby: Jensen is poetry in motion, I swear. Beautifully stated. :-x

I agree - it was awesome getting to see Dean's true feelings about his Dad. I knew that there had to be some of that deep down inside of him, I just never realized how bad it was.

Hi SJ! Last night's episode was just amazing. I wish I could have stayed home today from work and rewatched it.

There are too many...but...when he realizes that the colt is gone and he tells Sam to get his stuff, because he's going to 'hunt that bitch down.' I hope he shoots her. Or better yet...(and I know that Rod would love this.) have Ellen find her and beat her up for what she did.

Will go say penance now..

LOL, Lacey! You always crack me up! I agree - I hope Dean shoots Bela. That would make me unbelievably happy. However, I have a feeling we won't be seeing that yet this season. *sighs*

Ooooo...Ellen beating Bela up? Make sure Dean is there to see the girl-on-girl action! :^O

My favorite Jensen moment was that flash of Demon!Dean with that little creepy smile at the end.
Whims...I've been trying to figure out what that meant! It's like a 'hah..you're going to Hell whether you want to or not' look.

Favorite funny moment: Toss up between the 'oops I drank the beer too' and him being all caffeinated in the Impala.
Favorite angst moment: The whole conversation between the 2 Deans. Wow. Like Rod said in his blog...why doesn't Jensen have an Emmy yet??

Even though I know it was in his dream & that "Freddy" Frost was influencing it, we finally got to see Demon!Dean! That was way better than Shapeshifter!Dean.

I also loved the little moment between Bobby & Dean in the hospital. So emo, plus you get Sammy walking in with that "am I interrupting something?" look on his face.

Jensen is poetry in motion

Gabs- what a perfect way to put it!

I wholeheartedly agree with everyone's favorite moments, and I'll add this one- it was the one that made me choke up and just want to hug Dean hard-

right at the end in the Metallicar, right after Dean admitted he didn't want to die and Sammy said they would find a way to save him, Dean's voice caught a little when he answered. That moment just broke my heart for poor Dean- he wants to be saved so desperately, and all his hopes are with Sam now.

Zo: I've been trying to figure out what that meant! It's like a 'hah..you're going to Hell whether you want to or not' look.

I hope you're wrong. Dean can't go to hell!!! :_|

Rap: Yeah...I totally loved the look on Sam's face when he walked it on Dean and Sam at the hospital.

Met: Dean's voice caught a little when he answered.

Oh...Met. That was heartbreaking. Now I want to go back and rewatch that again, just to hear his voice...I'm a glutton for punishment! ;)

I'm still absorbing this episode, but the whole "Dean on Dean" scene was amazing. Just watching Jensen portray Dean in different ways, the cocky-self-sure Dean, the quiet intense Dean, the push my opponent to the limit Dean, the rageoholic Dean and Demon Dean was barely recognizable. Wow.

And I'm with Met. In the end when he says "Kay, good", the little boy vulnerability in his voice? Powerful.

Random thought: Dean vs Dean. How much of what Dream!Demon!Dean said do you suppose was what Real!Dean was really thinking (deep down)? What I mean is, do you think "Freddy" Frost could pull out these thoughts from Real!Dean's subconscious & alter them? Like the Djinn in WiaWSNB? Either way, our poor Dean...boy just breaks my heart with his lack of self-worth!

"I mean your car, that's dad's. Your favorite leather jacket? Dad's. Your music? Dad's. Do you even have an original thought? No."

You lie, D!D!D!:_|

I'm hoping the Demon!Dean at the end is just to show us that Dean still has that fear of becoming what he loathes the most & not anything more.

OK, random question:

I read LadyTalon's blog and did Kripke really hint that he's planning to hook up Dean and Bela in the long term? (I'm trying to avoid spoilers, so I haven't read the interview yet.)

Anyway, um . . . as things stand right now . . . I don't like that idea. And not just for her stated reason (Bela shot Sam). I also like the idea of Bela just being bad. I have no real interest in seeing Bela redeemed.

Now, if it's in the Sera Gamble Dean-falls-for-damaged-woman-who-breaks-his-heart, I might be able to live with that.

Sorry, I had to say something because I was getting an ulcer.
