NEED GAS???

turtle.jpg
Just one of those days...
I went into the gas station today and
asked for five dollars worth of gas...

The clerk farted and gave me a receipt.

I just got this in an email and it made me BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Just because it's so true our gas went up last night to about $4.80 a gallon.

Have a great weekend everyone!:^O

Damn. $4.80! Ours is high too (Almost $4/gal for premium), but still lower than that.

Hi Famin and that's just for regular not premium!!! It's been climbing all week...:O

Hi April, I'm in Ontario, Canada and they're killing us with these prices! I can't imagine if I had a van or an suv to drive.

Yikes! I thought $3.75 for premium was bad! Makes ya wanna by a hybrid! (And I, unfortunately, am a soccer mom, so I'm in a minivan!)

I remember when $10 would last me a whole week. Now $10 might get you home.

Hiya Kris a minivan? I couldn't afford to fill that even on regular.
Hey Mannie...wonder what the guy would give me if I asked for $10 worth of gas? LOL. I'm glad I don't have to drive very far to my new job!:-D

They were talking on the news to some guy about the gas prices and what you can do to get to where you need to go if it keeps going up. I swear to you the guy said "You could ride a bike, walk, jump rope, crawl, walk on your hands. Anything will get you where you need to go."

Yeah, but when you have a 40+ mile commute every day, I'd have to be up and out of the house by, oh, 6am to make it to work on time (I may be exaggerating, but I'd hate to have to try and bike it!). Not to mention that I'd be risking my life, as the back roads are few and far between, and I can't bike on the highway!

Oh, and I don't even print a receipt, I try not to even look! :^O

I guess it depends whether they want me there today or next week. Although we would all be in better shape...if we lived through it!;)

With the way the traffic is now I wouldn't even attempt to bike it anymore. I used to love biking, now it's just scary!

That was funny!

If only farts worked! We could all buy stock in baked beans and make as much profits as Mobil.

Pretty much nobody has the option to walk or bike to work so I really don't like it when people suggest that. It's not like you can take a shower after you get there!

Lucky for me I only have a ten minute ride to work. Gas was $3.23 last time I got it.

Wow, $4.80! I think ours is $3.80. I remember when I was a kid and my uncle got a new Suburban and it cost $40 to fill it up and we were all like, "Can you imagine paying $40 to fill up your car!?" Now it costs that much to fill up my little sedan.

Just because it's so true our gas went up last night to about $4.80 a gallon.

I picked my self off the floor after I came to and tried to think of something clever to say, but my mind is still in a fog. WOW.

Say after me - alternative fuel source. Time for it so for many reasons.

Hiya Julie, I'm glad I'll only have about a ten minute drive to work as well. I can't imagine the people that live in Toronto and commute from up here, it's well over an hour!
Hey Megan, I have a Cavalier and it costs over $50 to fill it and that was before this last hike!
Hiya Cindy, I almost fell over when I saw it this morning! What bugs me too is they keep trying to build Ethanol plants as an alternative, everybody wants the alternative but nobody want them to build the plants?
I got another email as well about trying to bring the price of gas down by boycotting a couple of specific sellers. Before they had tried to get people just not to buy any gas on a certain day, but too many people have to buy gas everyday for work. The gist of this new one is to not buy gas from a couple of certain companies for the rest of the year in the hopes that it will force those companier to lower their prices...which in turn will cause the other companies to have to follow suit. I have no idea if this would work or not.

They have us no pun intended "Over a Barrel". It is ridiculous and all you hear about is how the Oil companies are making record profits.
I don't know about Canada but here in the USA don't ya think it is rather funny that Bush & Cheney and there families and cronies are connected to the oil business? It's not just there faults I blame all the politicians gas is not a luxury any more it has been a necessity for many years.
But you can't get to upset or you will end up in the hospital and that's a whole other can of expenses.
