Did anyone else watch...
Canterbury's Law last night? I liked the show, it didn't blow me out of the water or anything. I liked seeing Julianna and I think she gave a solid performance. At first she comes across as a cold, hard, lawyer who puts up with no BS from anyone (kind of reminds me of Shark) but by the end we get to see a much softer side as she crawls into her son's (who is missing) bed. The case revolved around a child killer and her client is the one accused of killing the child. Elizabeth believes her client is innocent even though all the evidence seems to prove otherwise. She seems to clash with almost everyone to finally get to the truth, that it was the child's father. She even plays a bit dirty and tricks the prosecution into putting the father on the stand and then uses her prowess to bring out the truth, even taking a punch in the face. I like seeing Julianna again, I loved her as Carol in ER, back in the day when I couldn't wait for ER every week. I will definitely watch again next week to see where this goes, the previews looked pretty good. What did you guys think?

I didn't watch it Molls. Your summary makes it seem to be pretty good though.

It was pretty good, not earth shattering but something different with a woman as the lead. Next week looks like it will be pretty good. Are you all ready for the T-man?

I watched it Molly. I liked it and I will probably watch it again unless something I like better comes on. I wanted to watch the show after it, New Amsterdam, but I had some interruptions and missed it. I used to watch ER a lot the first years back when Julianna was on but I have dropped it for some time now. I hope it gets to stay on for a while because it did look promising. How's your weather up there?? Ya'll just keep getting hammered don't you.

Hiya Cush. Hammered isn't even the word for it, I did a blog a couple of pages back and posted some pics of me versus Goliath (better known as the snowbank). Yesterday and today (so far) have been sunny although we are supposed to get more snow tonight. Not as much as we did on the weekend, thank goodness. I haven't been following ER as much the last few years either, it's just not the same. I like New Amsterdam too, so I hope they both do well.

I didn't watch it because I've been watching The New Adventures of Old Christine on CBS and I heard that last night's episode was supposed to be particularly funny and I didn't want to miss it. I've been reading about Canterbury's Law, though, and heard pretty positive things. If it had come on at a different time or night I probably would have checked it out.
How are you doing with your snow?

Hiya Megan, we're supposed to get more tonight, but not as much (said while typing with fingers crossed). We missed you yesterday around here.

Aww, thanks. I've been absent a little bit more the past week or so because I proctor tests at local college and last week was midterm week so I was busy all day every day without any computer access. Yesterday I had to run my mom to some doctor's appointments and then we did some shopping, but I should be around more often now.
I'll cross my fingers (while typing, not easy to do) for you, too!

My daughter just finished midterms last week and was soooooo stressed out. She's glad now though because she's on the final stretch for this year.

I definitely remember that feeling around midterms; it is not something I miss about college.

So far she's been on the honour roll so I told her to quit worrying she'll be fine, but as she said "easier said than done".

Hi Molls! I didn't watch it either--I hate to miss HIMYM, even when it's an episode I've watched already, so I watched that and New Christine, which I thought was pretty funny. But then again, I'm single, so maybe it's funnier if you are single. (What did you think, Meg?) But I agree with Mannie, that your review makes me want to check it out. Pity it's not on Tuesdays or Wednesdays when I have nothing else to watch....
Wish your daughter luck from me!
BTW, the cherry blossoms and daffodils are starting to come out down here. So, by my estimate it should start to get a little bit warmer for you guys over the next few weeks! Hopefully, it won't bring rain with it, but I'm sure that at this point you'd be happy not to shovel as long as the snowbank didn't end up in your basement.

Probably one of the reasons she is on the honor roll is because she worries. I am a champion worrier; it probably isn't good for my mental health, but it was always good for my grades.

Hiya Famin, I can't even begin to tell you how true your statement is. If we can just get a few days of sun to melt & evaporate the snow that would be perfect.
Yes Megan that's probably true, it's a big difference from high school where she didn't seem to care about much other than her boyfriend at the time (good riddance to bad garbage). LOL

Famin--I thought it was very funny, too. I was a little worried because 30 Rock did a similar storyline in the fall, and it was great, but Christine took it in another direction that was also hilarious.
We've reached the point in out weather where it is 40 in the mornings and 70 by mid-afternoon and then 40 again at night. In SC this is called Spring. Hopefully the changing weather that Famin and I are having will move your way, Molly...and that your daughter will keep her focus on the grades instead of a boyfriend.
