Pilot News: Kelly Preston In SHOOTOUT, Adam Goldberg To UNUSUALS; More
OK, after an intense upfront week with virtually no pilot news from this blog, it's about time the dust settled and we can head back in.
From the Hollywood Reporter:
- Kelly Preston has joined HBO pilot "Suburban Shootout" as Camilla, one of the gang leaders in the story about a woman moving to the suburbs to find some peace and quiet, only to be landing smack in the middle of a gang war between homicidal housewives.
- Adam Goldberg has come aboard "The Unusuals", one of many ABC drama presentations. It's set at a New York police precinct. Goldberg is set to play Delahoy, a detective who has a brain tumor that no one knows about.
- Nick Thune is cast in ABC's comedy presentation "Roman's Empire" which revolves around a guy who wants to set himself free of his ex-girlfriend's wealthy family and her outrageous father.
- Michael Landes will star opposite Alfred Molina in FOX drama pilot "Courtroom K". The story is a dark comedic drama set in the Superior Court of Milwaukee, and centers on a judge (Molina), a prosecutor (Landes) and a public defender (Megan Dodds).
Meanwhile, Danielle Nicolet has joined Debra Messing in the cast of the follow-up to USA's miniseries "The Starter Wife", playing a new friend of Molly's, who is a parent and also the wife of a Los Angeles pro athlete.
