Doctor Who
Thought I should update this blog. It's been awhile.
Glad to see the Doctor on my tv again. I thought last week's was fine in that "special guest star" type of episode.
But last night's was fun. Seriously, there were moments where I was saying "what in the hell?" and then burst out laughing--in a good way. Especially in the scenes when the cute blobby aliens all come bursting out of their victims and then proceeded to march down the city streets. Very disgustng, very bizarre, kinda cute..altogether twisted and I loved it.
I also loved the exchange between Donna and the Doctor when they first spot each other.Those two are gonna rock.

Oops,can't forget Rose. Although I was a bit spoiled and knew she was going to show up. Didn't expect so soon. It didn't shock me so I guess that's why I didn't mention it.
Her appearance just left me going "hmmm".

Yeah, I have to say, even though I adored Martha, Donna was hilarious, particularly when the Doctor said "I just want a mate," and she misheard that as "I just want to mate" and was all "I'm not having any of that nonsense!" I just about died laughing. Good to see the Doctor back on form - the Christmas episode was just not as good.

Yeah, the Christmas episode was a little too "summer movie blockbuster" with the Titanic/Poseidon Adventure action and explosions, Kylie Minogue, and a villain that didn't really measure up in the scary department.
Still, there were parts I enjoyed. I liked that the passenger who was a complete jerk throughout ended up surviving. Nice twist.
And the Queen waving to the Doctor made me laugh.
Donna feels like she's going to be a strong companion for the Doctor and I love that the newspaperman is her grandfather
