CSI: Two and a Half Deaths
CSI: Two and a Half Deaths
Wow. Can the CSI producing team have these sitcom writers do a follow up next season? Last night’s show will go down as one of my all time favorites. When the L.A. agent walked through the lab and remarked, “Beautiful cops working high tech. There’s a series in that” -- I just knew it was going to be a fun episode.
I think my favorite scene was the one of Warrick holding a large patch of carpet with a Rorschach bloodstain and then asking Gil and Catherine what they thought of it.
Gil: A hermaphrodite on roller-skates Catherine: A puppy.
A silly joke but you know, Gil would say that wouldn’t he. Love the Grissom.
I also enjoyed the tongue in cheek humor regarding the crime solving writing on these shows, especially at the end where the guilty party [Rachel Harris] has a long winded, colorful, and far fetched back story to explain her motive and means. Kind of like the recent CSI: NY and its ending where the killer cheerleader spent months growing her exotic plants and grinding them to make a poison to put on her lips so that she could take her revenge at some basketball contest game because she had once been a contestant too but was obese then and was ridiculed by the fans and that traumatized her which resulted in the elaborate revenge. Got all that? Jeez…
Other good moments: The cameo of the Two and a Half Men cast, especially the kid smoking a cigar.
I’m thinking executive producer Chuck Lorre can die a happy man now that he’s got his payback on Roseanne Barr, Cybil Shepard, and Brett Butler because the character Annabelle had to be a combination of all three.

I loved this episode and it was EASILY my favorite epsidoe ever - even better than the Tarantino 2-parter!
I thought the whole damn thing was so well thought out and delivered with such great lines. It was the best and I would love for this to happen every year!
My favorite part was towards the end when the lady was acting out her angle of the murders and she said something , and then admitted that it was probably over the top, "But we are allowed one of those for each episode"! Funny and oh so true!!

This whole crossover exercise was a lot of fun. I loved the Two-and-a-Half Men episode and this one. The cameo of the Two-and-a-Half Men guys was great. Rachel Harris was terrific.

I enjoyed it, but the problem with the CSI episode was that it was uneven. Partly it was due to the cast not all being comfortable with comedy, so some (Grissom) could deliver the lines perfectly and others (Henry) tended to lean too hard on the joke. There were also a few times where the joke quotient got so high you wondered when they'd get back to the plot (what there was of it), but overall a very good effort.

I so loved this episode. My favorite little dig was when they were in the office in Hollywood and Grissom held up the Emmy and asked what it was. A little dig perhaps that although CSI is consistently one of the top shows it is never in the Emmy running? Very clever show.
