CSI: Two and a Half Deaths

Sorry this recap is a bit late.. Softball season has started, thank god for PVR!!

This episode was written by the writers from Two and a Half Men, Lee Aronsohn and Chuck Lorre. Apparently they were NOT making fun of any previous female leads that they worked with.... apparently.... (like Rosanne Barr or Cybill Shepard)

We had an all star cast for this week as well.. Diedrich Baker (The Drew Carey Show), Katy Sagal (Married with Children), and Stephen Tobolowsky to name a few.

There was a lot of little comments and bits in this episode that was almost like behind the scenes commentary, the emmy Grissom picked up, the 'jump the shark' comment from Brass. The pointing out of Charlie Sheen and his co-stars from Two and a Half Men. Megan Kupowski's explanations of what had 'actually' happened.
Her character really reminded me of Cybill Shepard's best friend Mary-Anne on Cybill.

All and all I really liked it! It was a fun episode with some witty dialogue and pointed jokes. :) Lots of familiar faces.
Next week though....

It looks like Warrick's drug problem rears it's ugly head again... and brings up back to the storyline from pre-strike with the strip club and the mobsters!!

I REALLY enjoyed this episode, and all the little "inside" stuff. I also liked the 2 1/2 Men that was written by CSI writers. I think that was the first Men episode that I've watched when it aired new. I especially liked their version of Who Are You, with the response: Men men, men men men.

I know the announcement of Warrick's departure was recent, and with his real life drug problems, there's no chance that he'll be back. So, I wonder if the writer's wrote the upcoming episode with 3 endings. One where he gets out of the charge. One where he gets convicted. And maybe one where he beats the wrap, but leaves CSI and Las Vegas. This way, should he have come back, they could play the one where he beats the charge. No that he's not going to be back for next season, they can play whichever ending they want.

I thought the whole cross-over exercise was a lot of fun. I enjoyed both shows. The writing staffs did a great job with each other's shows. I hope they do it again next season.

I really enjoyed the Two and a Half men epsiode too! Like you Darclyte, it was the first one I ever watched new, I usually catch the reruns. Jenny McCarthy was smokin hot too! ;)

It was an interesting combo for the 2 shows and I really hope it gets done again in the future!

Yes, I had wondered about how Warrick would leave. I didn't realize this would be the season finale!

I loved the crossover episodes - thought that it was very inventive and it helps CSI from not taking itself too seriously.

I would love to see this happen with CSI Miami! Can you imagine the fun that could be had at Horatio's expense! Broken sunglassed maybe.....!! That is the main problem that I have with CSI Miami - it takes itself way too seriously. A smile is very rare - let alone a joke or a laugh!

I haven't watched CSI in years but this crossover brought me back. I am glad I watched it. I loved that the actors from CSI poked a bit of fun at themselves ("So this is an Emmy?") as well as the glee the Chuck Lorre got from killing off at least three versions of some of his sit-com mothers -- in one fell swoop.

I agree Ranger, CSI Miami tries too hard. I am sure a cross over episode would be too funny. But who would they cross over with? I think it should be somebody other then 2 and a half men. :)

CSI always seems to be ok with laughing at something or themselves... :)
