« Hi Fi
Still Hangin' in Neptune...
I'm watching the episode with the 80s dance (Total Eclipse of the Heart) and the weird dog. Logan made me cry in the Hotel. I think there's a possibility I'm warming towards him. Darn it. I do love Leo and the sketch artist picture was priceless!!!

Zia: Mannie is *ahem* enthusiastic...or maybe FORCEFUL is the right word!
Mannie: The Wang Chung quote slays me! That scene was hilarious.

Awe thanks Zia. I try to be optimistic, but sometimes I'm not. I just told my boyfriend the other day that he's too optimistic. The movie theater downtown is closing because they don't do much business. He said they are going to turn the theater into a hotel (it's connected to The Peabody) and I told him that was stupid. He said they were doing that to try to get the NBA all-stars to come play in Memphis. I told him they won't come. Memphis doesn't support sports teams and that's why we always loose them so fast. The only team Memphis will support is the Memphis Tigers. I said it was very stupid to spend all that money for something that won't happen. I'll get off that subject now... Sorry it was so long.
Fi, sometimes a girl's got to be FORCEFUL to get her way! And look, it worked for you!!! Now how much more forceful do I need to be for all the others.. *looks around the room*
I love that quote and everytime I hear that song or think of the 80's, I think of that scene. How do you feel about Meg's date thing? I wasn't sure about it myself. It made me sad.

I adore Leo! Here's a quote, specifically for Mannie:
Veronica: I’m actually here to see Weevil; do you think I could get a minute with him? Leo: What is it with “bad boys”? Veronica: Umm…tattoos, leather, parole violations, total “good girl” bait. Leo: I’m doomed.
Some other noteworthy quotes:
Wallace: Breaking news. Record this day in history: the first time Wallace Fennel got the 411 before the little birdie got it to you. Veronica: Do I have to tip you over or are you going to spill it on your own?
Logan: So, what do you think? Veronica: Like, in general? Or is there a specific arena on which you'd like my opinion?
Keith: Honey, do I need to recap my Concerned Dad lectures? No running with scissors, no candy from strangers, no smartening up the local criminal element.
Veronica: Well, I want to congratulate you. Shake your hand. Congratulations, you've been named the world's biggest cockroach. This award is given in recognition of your unparalleled lack of decency and humanity. Bravo, you're going to die friendless and alone. Lenny: Hey, everybody knows you're the biggest- Veronica: Shut up! If I want you to speak, I'll wave a snausage over your nose. If you use Mandy again to try to convince yourself that you're not a loser, I will ruin your life - got it? You got it?!
Trina: I can't get him off my back. Logan: Did you try standing up?
Logan: I need your help. Veronica: Would it be weird if I start my own drinking game? Like, I take a shot every time someone asks for my help?
And a tiny bit of trivia: The two dogs that get kidnapped are actually KB's own dogs. Well, two of her dogs anyway.
And one more from TV.com: Logan: Meet in mop closets? Pass each other secret notes in the hallway? The characters played by Adrian Grenier and Ali Larter meet in a mop closet in high school in the 1999 film flop Drive Me Crazy. A film that just happened to be penned by a screenwriter called Rob Thomas.
(And yes, THAT Ali Larter.)

Everybody Wang Chung tonight! Wang Chung or I'll kick your a$$!
Well, she did say she got forceful... but she ain't caught me yet! Neener, neener!
Just what exactly IS Wang Chung? It sounds like some experimental Chinese food gone horribly wrong.
And yes, I am old enough to remember the song, the video, and the weird blond guy.

I have a vague recollection of an interview the band did (back in the day) and in Chinese the name means "perfect pitch" or something like that.

Mannie - There were two guys! The lead singer was a blond with hair plastered across his forehead. The other guy, the guitarist, had poofy brown hair. And both wore black suits in the video.
Yes... yes, I am a child of the 80's, thank you... thank you...

"Everybody have fun tonight Everybody Wang Chung tonight"
I've had the Dancing Warhols stuck in my head all week, now I'm gonna have Wang Chung in there, too.
I'm impressed, Famin! I looked it up in Wickipedia, and you were right on the translation. Good job.
And Mannie is right to be forceful. By the end of the season, hopefully Fi will at least be "in like" with Logan. Logan was kind of like Riggins in FNL to me. I really didn't see anything good at the start. Both characters grew on me until they were actually favorites by the end of the first seasons.

WHOOOOOOO!!! Yup. Things that happened before 1992--pretty good memory. Anything that happened AFTER 1992--pretty sporadic memory. Which segues us to Mannie's comment....
And Mannie is right
Ahhh, I hear that all the time and it never gets old!!!
And now we know the true reason Mannie hangs out with me. Because when it comes to remembering a line or scene from VM, Mannie will always be right and I'll be in some other state entirely. *sheepish*
