Best Game Show Moments: 1 Vs. 100; Don't Forget The Lyrics
It's been said that our relationships with people are based on the way they make us feel about ourselves; that also applies to game shows. I was watching 1 Vs. 100 and thinking, "This isn't half bad." That's because I got all the answers right and was congratulating myself on how easy it would be to win a million dollars since I'm a super genius — or maybe the questions were super easy, but at least I got to feel like a super genius for a while there. Not so much with Don't Forget The Lyrics, I'm such a song mangler. Youlisten to "Blinded By The Light" and hear: "And little Early-Pearly came by in his curly-wurly and asked me if I needed a ride." I, on the other hand, sing, "And a little birdy-wirdy came by anus hurlyburly and asked me if I needed a ride." I don't know what that means, but I don't know what Early-Pearly means either, so I sing it my way.
My one issue with the show is that everything is so over-the-top dramatic. Love you Wayne Brady, mean it, but stop enabling these drama queen contestants. "Don't freak out when I tell you what I'm gonna tell you," he solemnly advised one. "Just breathe. Are you cool?" It's like he was about to tell her little Johnny fell down the well. Okay, she did need to come up with 13 words to a Kenny Loggins song, so I guess anyone would need some hand-holding in that scenario.
So, I think the way Corbin Bernsen punishes greedy contestants on How Much Is Enough? could be expanded to other character flaws. What if he just pops up randomly on Don't Forget The Lyricsto penalize the overly emotional, then heads over to Jeopardy to reprimand the smug? The wheels are always turning, friends.
What do you think, are some shows and contestants overdoing it with the drama or is it just the nature of the games they're playing? What irritating behavior would you like Corbin Bernsen to penalize contestants for?

Um YES!
A lot of contestants overdo it ~ Especially on Deal Or No Deal. I don't think they let you go on the show unless you promise to act like a fool.
I have always liked game shows but without TIVO watching some of them is like torture. I just can't stand always having things repeated a million times. Like ~ "The offer went up." No kidding... OR "Now don't open the case with the HUGE amount or the offer will go down.... UM No kidding.... And I could really do without the talking to their family members. I usually end up watching it in about 15 minutes!
As far as How Much Is Enough ~ Not too bad of a premise but not too exciting either.
I still like the old favorite Price Is Right. Since there is nothing on due to the strike we actually have been taping that every day! It always reminds me of staying home from school when I was a kid. Some of the prizes are pretty bad sometimes!
