Spotlight Jared Padalecki - A Very Supernatural Christmas

I only saw the last 30 minutes of this episde (%#@ cable went out), but boy what a roller coaster 30 minutes it was!

What were some of your favorite scenes/lines?

I'll post more thoughts after I re-watch tomorrow.

Merry Christmas!

Gabs I just have to say that right now I feel ridiculous. It is 10:45 and I am still crying. Fudge.

Truthfully I blame Jared, he just kills me with the teary eyes. I love that he gave Dean Christmas after all - so sweet.

Gabs, I did a 'mock conversation' between Eric and his sister... I know...how you feel. The whole ep was a roller coaster.

awwww, Dean's precious necklace is a present from Sam. How perfect that is. I could have lived without the fingernail scene, I'm getting shivers just thinking about it.

Oh man, well, of course my emotions are still all over the place from you-know-what, but I definitely cried when I found out Dean's necklace was a gift from Sammy...that was just so so sweet! And man, you think back, like, he looks out for that necklace, values it highly (remember Skin when he snatched it with such gusto from the dead shapeshifter) and now you can understand why. It's a token of love and trust from Sammy. Now, how 'bout we find out where Sammy's leather bracelet came from? LOL.

And when Sam gave Dean Christmas after all...major tears. Just when I thought the end couldn't get any sweeter, there was that scene. And yes, Jared's teary eyes again...they kill me EVERY time! No words were said after "Hey, Dean?" (except for let's watch the game) but yet, with those super-expressive eyes, no words were needed. I swear, when he cries, I think the tears are real, he's just too good, too convincing, for it to be fake tears. I heard what Jared thinks of when he needs to get teary-eyed in the show...*sigh* Having to put his dogs down. Yeah, after this week, I can certainly see how that would work, foolproof.

But away from that subject, don't wanna start. Great episode, GORY episode, LOL, and that Christmas-crazy couple was creepy enough without knowing they were pagan gods, LOL. The fingernail ripping...EEEEWWWWWW!!!! I covered my eyes. I was impressed with the mythology too, b/c it is true that there's nothing in the Bible that points to Jesus being born on Christmas. Christmas is never mentioned in the Bible, nor is Easter, so yeah. Speakin' the truth, there, SN! Oh, also, glad the Anti-Claus didn't kill the little curly-haired boy, thought he was going to. The Anti-Claus was pretty creepy, ick. And that line from the god-couple, about them saying "Fudge!", LOL! Reminds me of "A Christmas Story"..."ohhhh...fuuuudge..." LOL!

They got how many words right in Silent Night? Oh, boys *shakes head laughing*. I love that Dean thought of it as a cover at all, and then that he was apparently going to stick it out and try to finish the "song" until Sam tugged him outside.

LOL! I forgot about the boys singing "Silent Night", that was hilarious! Off-key, getting the words wrong, but trying nonetheless! And yeah, Sam tugging an ever-determined-to-finish Dean outside, LOL.

The whole scene in the Christmas store had me practically falling off the couch laughing. Sam's description of the wreath as "yummy", and then the look on his face when the guy called him fussy.

HAHA, yeah, when Sam went "Yummy", I busted out laughing. What a description...LOL. And when they're at that redneck Christmas park, LOL (at least that's what it looked like to me) he's all like "Oh, we just like to watch." LOL! Think before you speak, Sammy!

Sam got a chance to watch out for Dean, smacking his hand before he took any who-knows-whats-in-it-peanut brittle.

And it's only a matter of time before someone mentions that Sam got choked again, but she was female, so how could she possibly have resisted that neck?

LOL, yeah, Dean and food, and here I'm thinking, umm, Dean, remember evil-Granny and the pie?!?! LOL. Sammy did, obviously!

Yes, I was actually just getting ready to point out that Sam seems to have that choking thing going on again this season...but you've got a point, that lovely, long, slender neck...yeah. A female-monster magnet! And a fangirl magnet, too. LOL!

Sarie- You are making me giggle- Sammy being choked is exactly what I was going to mention here- and I already mentioned it over at Pentagram's! Hee. If only Dean had gotten beat up by a girl, then all would be right in the world...

Loved the flashbacks in this ep- did anyone else get choked up when little Sammy was crying himself to sleep? Oh, Sammy! Poor little thing...

Now we know where Dean got the amulet, now we just need to find out what it's for.

As always, I can't get over how much Jared and Jensen can convey without ever saying a word- the final scene where Sam gives Dean the Christmas he wanted just choked me up- when Sam just asks him if he wants to watch the game instead of saying anything more...OH SAMMY!

This episode was definitely awesome for all the brotherly moments, present day and flashbacks. I love that Dean was all smart-alecky to Mr and Mrs God until they actually hurt Sam, and then he was pure anger and threats.

And Sam's hair was deliciously mussed after his final fight with Madge (speaking of yummy...).

Oh yeah, Met, I forgot, little Sammy crying himself to sleep was another teary moment for me. Doesn't matter what age he is, he cries, I cry! And yep, those were great flashbacks.
