Battlestar Galactica - Season 3 coming to DVD from Universal Studios
Wow, Universal Studios Home Entertainment has just handed out a heckuva great New Years' Eve gift: the long-awaited details, release date and box art for Battlestar Galactica - Season 3 just became available within the past hour!

The street date is March 25th, for the entire season of 20 episodes in a 6-DVD package. One of the episodes, "Unfinished Business", will have an exclusive version on this DVD release, including 25 minutes of never-before-seen footage! That's just part of 15 hours worth of bonus material, which includes Deleted Scenes, Podcasts and Behind-the- Scenes Featurettes. The cost will be $59.98 SRP.

We've got a larger look at the package over at TVShowsOnDVD.com!

Finally they are packaging up a whole season together instead of splitting it into two. Now they just need to do the same for season 1 and 2.

DVD only? How twentieth century. Where's the HD-DVD version? :(

No HD DVD version was mentioned in the material we received. Universal didn't release a hi-def version of Razor, either. It is my guess (just a guess, mind you) that they want to release each title on HD DVD using the same release order as was used for the standard DVD versions (in other words, the Season 2 titles would be next...hopefully as a single set rather than split up).

Season 1 was complete in one DVD set, and included the original mini series. It was season 2 that was split up into two sets.

Of course, after 3 and 4 are released... they'll probably also release a complete series set with even more bonus materials!

On amazon they are selling season 2 and 2.5 for much cheaper than you would get each of them seperately!!

And Region 4 gets let down again.

Not a single bonus feature down under - though we did get the release a couple of months ago.

I could have waited...
