CSI:NY--Caught

Well, the crazy cab driver mystery finally came to an end and I have to admit that despite my comments last week I did end up feeling sorry for Reed. Oh, I still think he is a moron (Who did he think his source was? And why would he get in a cab to begin with? And, oh yeah, he was indirectly responsible for getting an innocent man killed!), but he did spend most of this episode tied up in a trunk with a dead body, he had to watch a creepy killer carve a Bible verse into the body, he had to type the guy's psychotic ramblings into his blog, and then he got his neck sliced open. I don't care how stupid you are, you don't deserve all that. He was smart enough to send Mac hidden "beer-making ingredient" messages through his blog, though, so he redeemed himself a bit in my eyes. Was I the only one who thought it was a little thoughtless of Mac to make the kid ride home from the hospital in a cab, even if he did go with him? Couldn't you have given him a ride in the squad car just this once, Mac? Oh well, as Stella pointed out, Mac isn't quite used to this "dealing with a kid" thing yet.

I get the feeling that Mac's female friends/love interests were upset that they didn't know about Reed for more than professional reasons. Um, ladies, maybe he just didn't want you to know because he was trying to protect "his" kid, not because he doesn't trust you or like you. At least Quinn was nice about it when she found out; Jordan was downright rude to Stella, especially after poor Stella had just been trying to hold Reed's throat together with her (apparently) teeny-tiny hands. Do not mess with Stella!

Sid didn't do anything particularly awesome tonight besides figuring out that the murdered cop/cab driver was beaten to death, so my favorite moment of the evening goes to Hawkes (Yes, he was actually in this episode!) for calling Lindsay "Montana." She said that it was nice and that she missed it. So do I.

This is a little short since I'm traveling so please help me fill in all the good stuff that I forgot. :-x

Hiya Megan, hope you're having a great trip! I'm glad they finally caught this guy and I did feel bad for Reed at the end. I thought the same thing, couldn't Mac have given him a ride home and at least say something to him? I don't really care for that Jordan girl, she seems way to possessive, why should Mac have told her anything about Reed? I hope they don't make her his new love interest. I wish Danny and Lindsay would patch things up already.

I couldn't believe Mac made Reed ride in a cab either. If I was Reed, I don't think I would have gotten into that cab. I'm sure he wasn't very comfortable. I'd have gotten home another way.

I posted a big, long blog about Criminal Minds and now it's gone. I asked David to look for it because I don't want to type all that over again.

I don't even know if this will post. My last post didn't go thru, but I'll try it.

Molly--Hi! The trip is going well so far, now all we have to do is win the game today! ;) Jordan bothered me during this episode, too. She seems to think everything revolves around her and her job. Someone needs to tell there ae other people in the world besides the mayor.

Mannie--I had the same problems with this blog and some comments I made on other blogs, but thank goodness it is fixed now. Actually, thank David! If I was Reed I wouldn't have gotten in that cab, either; I might never have gotten in a cab again!

Could someone explain what the Montana reference is about? I just recently started watching CSI:NY (mainly for Hill Harper...love him and so glad they are showing more of him) so I need a refresher.

Lindsay is from Montana.. Danny used to tease her about being a country girl and called her Montana.

It was kind if a lack luster ending for me after they made such a huge thing out of this. But overall it was good. I wanted to smack Jordin for being a b*tch. But Stella rules!

Yea.. if I was Reed I would have looked at Mac and laughed.. Ride in a cab??? I don't think so!!

The season finale looks good!!

Was I the only one who thought it was a little thoughtless of Mac to make the kid ride home from the hospital in a cab, even if he did go with him?

I did laugh when the cab pulled up at the end of the epsidoe, but it was New York after all, and if you didn't take a cab you would be severly limited in the way you travel. I thought that in a way, Mack was trying to help Reed and the city get back to normal!

Could someone explain what the Montana reference is about?

Lindsay was nicknamed Montana because that is where she grew up. When she first came on the show, she had a bit of a country accent and tended to do things the way a person from the country might!

Last nights episode was very good. I really enjoyed most of it and only rolled me eyes at a couple of things. Lat week we had the mysterious parrot droppings and this week we had "animal fat motor oil" that was only used by one cab company. Every episode seems to have one "over-the-top" type of scene and this one wasn't too far-fetched but it did make me chuckle!

Thanks for the great blog Megan!

rxtvchick--Yup, they already explained the Montana thing, but I'll just add that it became a term of endearment between Danny and Lindsay before their romantic relationship developed, so that is why it has special significance to them.

Indy--I thought it lacked a little intensity, too. Although of the three big recurring cases we've had this season (the others were the 333 and the virtual hitwoman) I thought this one was the most satisfying by far.

--Yeah, I understood that the riding in the cab was symbolic healing thing for Reed and the city...but I still think I would have asked "Dad" for a ride home in the squad car. Being Mac's "son" should have some perks. :) They do always add some bizarre little detail, don't they?
