Holy Crap...
I can not get past the image of Dean in Hell stretched on meat hooks...OMG...
I'm going to have to process this one a lot more before I can talk coherently.
OMG...he went there. Kripke honest to God went there.

I have a feeling I'll be putting my phone in the microwave tomorrow, or something silly while I walk around in a Kripke-Induced Daze.
I've managed to almost block out Dean being strung up. I rewind again before that scene. lol The first stage. Denial. lol
Though the image of Sam walking over to him, crying, is stuck pretty good. Actually, out of all the times Sam has cried --I think this one has gutted me the most. He just looked so young and lost...and he knew, he KNEW what it was going to be like without him.
*whimpers* Is it September yet?

Oh, and not to mention when the clock hits midnight and Dean SMILES at Sam! He smiles!
His last reasurring smile. Still putting on a brave front to protect his brother, even when the hell hounds come calling.
I think I broke my squishy.

you know when he comes out of his grief-induced daze that he's going to be pissed- and a pissed off Sam is a Sam susceptible to going Dark Side...

Did you notice that Dean was shirtless at this point??? Because that little fact didn't even register when I was watching the episode - I was so concerned with the meat hook. Someone over on LJ brought up Shirtless!Dean.

I just couldn't get over what Dean said to Sam before the hellhound.

OMG, Panns. I lost it at that point. I was really glad he said to remember what he taught Sam because he probably taught Sam more than Dad did.
I'm going to see if there are any screencaps of Dean in hell. (I can't believe I just typed that.)

ocean and panns that part did me in. I was ...sorta holding it together until then, but as soon as he said 'remember what I taught you', I was a gonner.
