Notice to TV Guide and Our Readers!

Due to the constant harassment and barrage of postings on unmonitored boards with no deletion option, we will not post further in either the CSI Miami or the David Caruso forums.

To do so is a disservice to those who have been supportive of our efforts. Neither they nor we need to expose ourselves to such behavior in what is presumed to be a civilized opportunity to dialogue with others.

As has been our custom, we will not delete responses either in support of our comments or in opposition, while reserving the right to delete any and all from a known and acknowledged obsessive stalker.

In the event our stand is considered out of line by TV Guide standards (and God only knows who sets those), then so be it. We will be gone.

I'm sorry to see this happening Dojo--but I do understand your decision. Having been one of many deleted by TV Guide's Powers That Be Mods while no one deletes the stalker--who continues to harass fans trying to have a simple discussion--I simply do not understand it. Thank you for trying to bring fairness to the discussion--I guess TV Guide doesn't understand the concept of fair play at all--or, as others have suggested, they have no problem with protecting a stalker.

I wish that there was a way to limit these people...they make it terrible for everyone else.

"I wish that there was a way to limit these people...they make it terrible for everyone else."

Laceym, that's exactly why I made the decision as I did. It's unfair to those wanting to post without being harassed. The mods did nothing except delete our admittedly hostile answers to her. Here I can, and will, delete her each and every time, regardless of content. PatMc and Emilydu have been particularly singled out, along with us, for the button pushers delight.

I am not sure why she's still allowed to post here. I had a comment deleted recently - and I expected it I guess, I pushed the envelope. It bugs me they don't tell you they are going to do it or did it. Yet I go to other posts and threads here at TVG and read such hateful crap I don't even bother to post. Why don't they delete that mental pollution?

"mental pollution".
I like that term and it fits our situation perfectly. Admittedly, we've all pushed the envelope where this polluter is concerned, yet she is rarely deleted. It's disconcerting, like playing a game without knowing the rules.

What I do not understand is,TV Guide encourages people to come and discuss their favorite shows and what they enjoy about them. Yet, when that is attempted and a "troll" (stalker whatever) disrupts the fan base of a blog by consistently attacking said fans and leaving inappropriate remarks (which is putting it mildly), the fans are the ones deleted. As CinderAngelkc put it--why is hateful crap allowed to remain. Obviously, TV Guide doesn't care about the fans--just the controversy that certain people create--perhaps it gives better reading. Each day that passes, TV Guide takes another step closer to becoming like TMZ.com
