MeeVee.com
A friend of mine told me she lives by MeeVee.com, which compiles all her favorite TV shows in a widget and tells her when they'll be on. My understanding was that it was sort of like the searchable guide on TiVo, but on a free website instead.
Has anyone else used this site before?

I've never heard of it before but thanks for the link Famin. I was checking it out and it looks interesting although I was trying out different episode to see if I could watch and it just tells me that - this content is currently unavailable.

Hiya Rev, I bet you do love the last part of the name. How's your mouth, better I hope? Did he pull your tooth?

MeeVee.com?
I thought that this was a shout out to our favorite person! A real website, huh?
I just thought that the Rev was talking in third person!

I just thought that the Rev was talking in third person!
The way my mouth hurts, I may need a third person to speak for me.
Hi everyone. I'm doing ok. Better than last night. I had 2 root canals and was poked and prodded into submission. I haven't had so many needles since I don't know when. Oy! Or is that Ow?
Please take care of your teeth kiddies, especially your gums. Floss, floss, floss!

Two root canals? As if one isn't bad enough! Oy is right. I'm glad it's a bit better than last night though.

I'm glad you're recovering nicely Rev.
I've heard of MeeVee Famin. If I'm not mistaking, you can pick your favorite actors and it will tell you when they will be on TV also.

Ranger - I thought it was a shout-out to our Rev, too.
Rev - I know what you're going through. I've had a root canal and three gum surgeries. It ain't fun. I'm glad, though, that you're finally getting treated. Hang in there.
Mannie - I thought about you when I was watching the Weather Channel. I hope you're not near the flood areas.

Thanks Marci, but I'm safe. It did rain it's butt off yesterday but luckily we didn't flood.

Ding! Ding! Ding! Seems like Mannie wins this round for being the only person who had heard of this site before.
Well, I'm having trouble registering right now, so I can't say more about the site, but if anyone else tries it out, let me know how it goes!
Mannie, you're right, I believe you can put in your favorite actor and it will run a search and tell you when that person will be on your TV in the next 12 days. The search caters specifically to your cable/satellite provider and zip code, so it gives you the exact time and channel (important for shows on PBS). You can also do searches by topic. So, if you're interested in Swedish cooking, it will tell you all the shows that cover that topic. And of course you can check by show as well, so if you're a fan of Roswell, it will notify you whenever the show is on (this seems particularly helpful for local channels that syndicate shows you wouldn't otherwise know about, since that's not something you would hear about on TVG.com). I think what it does is put together a viewing schedule for you, so you can set your VCR or DVR to record shows when they come on.
My understanding was that you can watch shows from the site as well, but I haven't tested that out yet.
Anyway, thanks Molly, Marci, Megan, and Ranger (we really do have a lot of M names!) for popping in to say hello!
As for you Big Sis, please take care of yourself! You are, after all, my only Big Sis. I had a root canal last month and I'm scheduled for the crown on Martin Luther King Day, so I feel your pain (or will soon enough). That reminds me, I need to start flossing again otherwise my hygienist will never let me hear the end of it.... Feel better VeeVee! And if I ever come across a site that has your name in full for real, I'll let you know!

I heard about that site from GMMR.com/remote. You guys should check that site out sometimes. I use to go there all the time but with the strike, I haven't been as loyal. They do a what to watch list everyday to tell you when the shows they talk about there will be on.
